I do the thigh stretch matter of fact when I'm doing DDPY (Apart from my Karate training). Very helpful and does a body good when you stretch parts of your thigh that we're not use to. Excellent video as always Sensei Nagano!!!
One really important thing, static stretching (as shown in the video) should never be practiced before a lesson if it involves a lot of kicking because it increases arround 40% the risk of injury, always stretch after ^^
It depends on the person's terminology of "groin" and "hips", but when I say groin, it's front side of your hip bone, and the hip stretches are the side of your hips.
I feel like what should also be talied about it STRENGTH exercises fir higher kicks! more often than not, people are flexible enough to kick high, but they're not strong enough to lift their leg or keep it lifted!
