Nate Bleepinjeep that couldn't be more true! It could take days to clean what 30 seconds of good mud can do haha. I always have to wear saftey glasses when under my Jeep or I get tons of dust and rust in my eyes. Hopefully some deep cleaning and spray painting the undercarriage this summer will help fix that!
I agree I’ve watched the last 3 videos he’s put out . Normally the only person I watch is matt , the other guys just don’t seem to care about cool content !
I like all of the content the others put out, this new guy is pretty good as well. Only one that is rare is the Texas guy with the wrangler, he hardly ever does anything.
TheAmericanUhate i forgot that dude even existed I think he still pops up every now and then with some weird story but never anything really informational about repairs for projects yeah I like the others too I just wish they were more consistent but I get that they have lives to live it's just nice to see someone taking it really serious and does a professional job.
Another good quick vid! Did a 2" on the CJ7 with a custom crossmember and lifted motor mounts back before these were kits. Switched to an electric fan too. Those sliders are are compromising clearance in more ways than just tires.
brian murphy lol I couldn't agree more. I need to finish up the walls of the shop and paint it all white. It would help a lot, but in the meantime I'll work on getting some more lighting brother
I believe that body lift is from Energy Suspension which is much better than putting a puck on top of your old crusty puck and the engine lift is from rubicon express.
Nice the fan lines up, what about the dirveline in the front and the back. Angles have changed and not for the better or for longer life of U-joints. I am surprised that someone hasn't come out with an offset shroud to compensate for the body lift.
Mike Hill 1"-2" gives tire / body clearance. Anything more puts too much force on the longer bolts and issues with controls that go between the body and frame.
My brother went from 33s to 35s recently. He already has a 4 inch short arm lift and we didn't want to push the short arms to a steeper angle by giving it more of a suspension lift. Since we were only after one more inch of clearance, a 1in body lift made a lot of sense in his situation. In our opinion much more than that gets complicated and starts to look a little weird. We took it on a wheelin trip shortly after this and it worked perfect. No more rubbing anymore just enough clearance everywhere we needed it without getting the jeep to tall
Latemcire good question, this is an old-timer trick. Put a nice wide block of wood on top of your jack and then jack up the oil pan. We used my transmission jack which has a very wide top so it evenly distributes the weight across the oil pan. I've never bent one this way but it may be possible. Thanks for watching!
I have asked several people ,please tell me if you have any issues with the steering rod going to the steering box?and if brake lines are ok? Please tell me if their are anything besides motor mounts i should worry about? i have rear adjustable uppers and adams driveshaft with tons of room but that shouldnt matter.Steering shaft to steering box, shifter for transmission, and brake lines is my common concern.Im not in great health just dont want to get in to tearing this apart then not finish it.Im dont want to sound like a wimp ,but you guys know all the tricks and i can use some pro insight.Thank you Robert
I hate doing body lifts, but they are cool. What brand sliders is he running? I'm installing my TJ lift next weekend and will be looking for some sliders so the wife can get into the Jeep. I like how his mount to the frame.
Khorsathedark I just asked my brother and he said they are Smittybilt. I know he's had them on there forever but I bet you can still get them at 4wheelparts
I have the same ones on my lj. Im going to be removing mine and going with some that snug up nice and tight against the rocker panels. you will gain a couple inches of clearance also.
Latemcire I suppose you could drill some relief holes in the bottom of the frame. Fighting mud from getting inside the frame rails is pretty tough battle
Donald Duncan no need to lift the transfer case. Making the motor an inch higher but keeping your transfer case at the stock height actually improves the angle of your rear output. One small overlooked benefit of doing a body lift/motor mount lift like this. Thanks for watching!
I have a QUESTION! My 2016 jku has an annoying squeak when I hit any uneven spot while driving and I can't stand it!!! Just replaced the front and rear track bars, front and rear shocks, re torqued every single thing, doesn't seem to be the lift coils or the control arms, and it is not the muffler heat shield. What in the worrrrrld is it!!!? So annoying to have a beautiful jeep with fancy fox shocks and seemingly everything in working order and still a damn squeak!!!
That's a tough one to troubleshoot without seeing it brother. We all have lost hours trying to trace squeaks LOL I'd love to give you my two cents but it sounds like you're going down the exact path I would have. Might need to remove your control arms and Lube up the bushings, unless you have rebuildable Heims. Then you may need to grease those bad boys up aswell. Good luck! I know how maddening it can be to track down something so small
Question, i bought the steinjager shifting cable set up on my 03 rubicon and i believe i wont need that bracket you had in your hand and modified[lowered].
The Daystar "pucks" look bigger than 1" cause it replaces the factory rubber mount as well. That's why I bought one. My factory rubber was split and rotten so while replacing I decided to add an inch while I was at it. I also want to tummy tuck in the future.
why not? as long as its not above an inch or two it actually helps with clearance when working on the jeep/cleaning the underside and gives you a little extra tire clearance. Obviously not a replacement for proper suspension but as long as its not a big body lift it really changes nothing and its 100x better than old worn out body mounts.
It offsets everything, destroys body mount bushings, nothing looks right, you still have the same crappy ground clearance, and you put more stress on the tub and front fenders of the jeep when offroading. Spend the extra money and just buy coil spring spacers if your too broke to pay a bit more for a rough country lift.
I have a jeep wrangler I bought that has a body lift and the only good thing i like is the clearance i had when I replaced the clutch but that's it, I'll talk shit all I want because I have it and I hate it. Im more of a cherokee guy anyway tho, they always showed the wranglers up on the trail.
Finally, I see an intall video with fountains of dirt pouring down with every bolt you remove. That's what I'm used to whenever I work on my TJ haha
Joe Garofalo II sounds like you know our pain! No matter how many times you wash it you can't get all the dirt out!
@@JoeGarofaloII blew enough dirt out of my front clip today i coulda started a garden in there
Really happy to see some stuff being done to TJ's. Keep it coming.
- rarmitage I will brother!
This guy is great!!! He consistently posts content. I would love to see a walk around of his Volkswagen swapped Jeep
I like this new guy he is consistent unlike the other partners.
David Stair thank you! Being the new guy is tough so I'm working hard!
Your hard work definitely shows, hope to see more from you.
I agree I’ve watched the last 3 videos he’s put out . Normally the only person I watch is matt , the other guys just don’t seem to care about cool content !

That seems a bit nicer than the hockey pucks we used to use.
Yay! finally some wrangler content. BJ is my favorite RUclips channel
All this wrangler type stuff........never thought I'd see it on BleepinJeep hahahahaha.
Another good quick vid!
Did a 2" on the CJ7 with a custom crossmember and lifted motor mounts back before these were kits. Switched to an electric fan too.
Those sliders are are compromising clearance in more ways than just tires.
Awesome to see how far Nat'e's content and videography quality has progressed since the old BJ days.
It's never this easy in the rust belt...
Nice, more TJ or any wrangler stuff. I got the 1inch on mine now as well.
Josh Morgan lots more TJ stuff to come!
The FNG has lots of content and variety. Good addition to the bleepin Jeep family. But for the love of God get more shop lighting.
brian murphy lol I couldn't agree more. I need to finish up the walls of the shop and paint it all white. It would help a lot, but in the meantime I'll work on getting some more lighting brother
I believe that body lift is from Energy Suspension which is much better than putting a puck on top of your old crusty puck and the engine lift is from rubicon express.
They sacrificed a camera for the fans. I appreciate it!
Wish my rusted out YJ was that easy; had to penetrate, torch, cut everyone one of them out.
Nice the fan lines up, what about the dirveline in the front and the back. Angles have changed and not for the better or for longer life of U-joints. I am surprised that someone hasn't come out with an offset shroud to compensate for the body lift.
Hey do you happen to remember the brand of who made the body lift? Id appreciate it. Great install vid.
Much better body lift than Rough Country.
Did you drop the transfer case? what about the steer angles? what about the drive angles?
How did you extend the fuel line? I just put this same lift on a 97 TJ but I still need to adjust the fuel filler to line up properly.
Great video. What was the name of the kit that you put on?
Great video as always ... but why all that work for only 1" ? And why not a 3" lift ??
Mike Hill 1"-2" gives tire / body clearance. Anything more puts too much force on the longer bolts and issues with controls that go between the body and frame.

Were you jacking the engine up with a floor jack under the oil pan? Seams like it would bend.
Actually a nice body lift
Dam! Where was this video a few months ago!
Wish body mount bolts came off that easy

strange to see Nate here before his channel
great job bleepinjeep
Great Video thank you. Was curious if the transfer case linkage drop bracket was even needed if you did the MML?
Nice jeep

Now if only someone could make a video about how to body lift my XJ!
It’s a joke I’m not actually stupid
What do you do about frame rails filling with mud/dirt? I read on a forum about people drilling 3/4” drain holes in the under side of the frame.
Latemcire I suppose you could drill some relief holes in the bottom of the frame. Fighting mud from getting inside the frame rails is pretty tough battle
Nice hoodie! Floyd for ever! 🤘🤘
Parker McCroskey yes dude!
Nate Bleepinjeep, hands down my favorite band of all time!
Ours too man, we were raised on Pink Floyd
Same here, definitely raised with it. I've seen Roger in concert a total of 5 times (3 Wall tours and 2 Us and them tours) and Ive seen David once.
Nice! Shine On You Crazy Diamond
What point did you jack the engine up from?
Cheaper to use a sleeve of hockey pucks just drill a hole in the center
Hey I want to do a body lift would I need to do the motor mount if I have an electric fan it’s the 2.4 power tech
Just a question if you raise motor to match body should you also do the same for transmission and transfer case
Donald Duncan no need to lift the transfer case. Making the motor an inch higher but keeping your transfer case at the stock height actually improves the angle of your rear output. One small overlooked benefit of doing a body lift/motor mount lift like this. Thanks for watching!
its one of thoes in theory vs in practice things
Thanks for the video!
What brand lift kit is this?
How to install a body lift?
.
.
.
*DON'T*
I have a 3 inch body lifty I want to remove and 4 of the mounts are rusted through the tub so I also have to repair that too.
I have a QUESTION! My 2016 jku has an annoying squeak when I hit any uneven spot while driving and I can't stand it!!! Candace Gray -possible body mount squeak

digging the shoes.. what brand and size are they
Question, i bought the steinjager shifting cable set up on my 03 rubicon and i believe i wont need that bracket you had in your hand and modified[lowered].
Bro you’re funny as fuck. Keep the videos coming.
Be careful, those shrouds are a good $80 to replace
you need to torque them in
Are there any down sides of 1” body lift on automatic JK ?
Do the motor mounts come with the kit , and can I get the kit on Ebay
I have an 02 Wrangler sport just put rough country 2.5 shock spring combo would body lift 1.5 lift b ok for 35 in n tires on 15 in rim?
so steering just slips on the shaft i guess ?
You have a link for the kit you purchased?
Please name that kit,etc.!!!!!!!!
That looked a lot bigger than a 1 inch body lift am I the only one
What kind of jack did you guys use
how dafuq did those bolts come out without breaking or snapping?? Should I use an impact instead of working them by hand?
Jeep tj shift linkage is just a bad design anyways. There is a kit you can get to fix this.
Jeremy Rhodes Novak Adapters makes one
Where did he get the body lift?
Kroil penetrating oil. You'll never go back.
Aaron Ward according to test, it's all hype, doesn't do any better than wd40 or any other penetrating oil/spray.
TheAmericanUhate my hype was born around daily in the field use. Believe what you want and so will I.
Yeah the placebo effect can make anything seem good I suppose. Testing and evidence shows the truth.
Looks like more than 1", Maybe I heard wrong.
The Daystar "pucks" look bigger than 1" cause it replaces the factory rubber mount as well. That's why I bought one. My factory rubber was split and rotten so while replacing I decided to add an inch while I was at it. I also want to tummy tuck in the future.
Where can i get a shift linkage kit like that?
I found one that was self-contained it hung off the bell housing didn't need that bracket what did you end up with
What brand is the body lift?
Shane Nope, Daystar I believe
Nate Bleepinjeep
Thanks!
As simple as unbolting.....lol
Body lift!?! WTF?
1st
Two wheel drive jeep 😂😂
Body lifts look like shit. Do suspension or nothing
I wouldnt recommend a body lift to anyone

Love my body lift, makes working on your rig so much easier, and it will never sag like warn out springs do.
hmmm I might recommend an 1 inch body lift for a v6 auto tacoma why... the starter is a right pita to get out ... that one extra inch would help
