Russian Teacakes or Snowballs. You can put surprise middles: potato chips, Hershey kisses, m&ms , either ones, or you can dye the sugar with a little milk, for festivity!!
I’ve gotten rid of my Kerurig and went back to perk coffee. It is so much better. Coffee is richer and really hot. I’ll never go back. First time watching you. Great video!
Oh Scott, I was asking, very nicely, for you to please pick up that most BEAUTIFUL ice blue tidbit tray during the first part of your video. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!🤭 Oh bummer....., no beautiful ice blue tray for me... However, you are a wonderful teacher and I’m so happy to learn about the other items you purchased and about the artist Maxwell Parish!! Thank you Scott, for always being such a wonderful teacher and gentleman. 😊
Kim Everhart Ikr? I thought he should get that tidbit tray too. I was saying "put it in your cart, put it in your cart!" when he was holding it, it was just too lovely for him to pass up. Let's hope he goes back for it so you have a chance to buy it from him.
I know I’m watching this a year after the fact but those primary color bowls! I broke my yellow one and would buy a new set in a heartbeat!! I use them constantly. 💕
I cannot believe how many awesome things you can find at your local thrift stores. So well stocked and organized! I will live vicariously through you! 😬
I'm always thrilled to watch them right before I go to bed.. Scott is so entertaining. On nights there's not a new video on my husband will say... Doesn't Scott have a video tonight? Lol
OMG you're so hilarious just being 100% you. The amethyst decanter is spectacular. Goodness, you find the best hidden treasures. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!
Love the Parrish print! Lucky find. Just found a Marcel Augis etching in good will the other day for $4. He was a WWl artist who did pen and ink drawings in France after the war and gave them (or sold?) To soldiers going home. Oh, the thrill of the find! Always most interesting to do the research on a find and read about the history. Happy 💛 day! TFS!😊
OMG! Scott I had the same decanter, mine was incased in silver but exact same design. I purchased it in the 80's at an old junk shop. It did have a crack, but hard to see and it still looked great in my window. The stopper was round clear glass with a slight pattern.
Just recently found you. You're very knowledgeable and entertaining. Enjoy thrifting with you, especially since we are all stuck in I can watch all your videos. Stay safe.😷🙋
Would like to take you along on my antiquing adventures, being a newbie I have so much to learn. Thinking I scored some winners on my haul this week, but if not I will enjoy everything anyway. Love the old hymn, the message is probably much more relevant today.
Scott, I hope your MCM original oil (busy street scene) found a good home. Most of us watching just don’t have a selection like you do thrifting. Your area is a collector’s dream, but a reseller’s dilemma. You are getting close to 10,000 subscribers, yeah! We will hold you to your mention of showing us those beautiful artistic and architectural treasures. I just love the culture and historical significance of your area. Thanks.
I have various Fiesta Ware plates and cups of different colors, all of which I got at thrift stores! They bring me joy! Thanks for the scintillating tour! (Did I imagine the rim shot sound effect when you were viewing that lady’s colorful posterior?!)
Hello Scott, I'm a first time viewer. I enjoyed shopping along with you. You are very knowledgeable. To my surprise, when I saw you sitting there, I had to double check, and yes, I am wearing the exact same Mickey sweatshirt as you.
I love Maxwell Parrish! I was lucky to find two of his pictures a few years back, original frames and good color with little fading. Paid about $20 each. Enjoyed your video today!
Pfeffernusse Cookies or Wedding cookies~ Enjoyed shopping with you, hubby and I went on Wednesday and I found a Royal Copenhagen figurine "Goose Girl" for $3.00 from a church thrift store...finding the treasures makes the tramping around in the cold worthwhile~ Happy Presidents Day~
I saw a Lladro box, I found a beautiful Lladro sitting angel the other day, price was right $1.99. I gasped when I saw it. Your stores are so large...love the bubble bowl 😍
In Star Mall an antiques shop in Snohomish WA there's a vendor who sells only Maxfield Parrish prints. I used to have my booth across from that vendor. I loved the style. The hues and blues were mesmerizing.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes percolated coffee. It's a hold-over for me from my mom who always drank it. I think we're in the minority though, Scott.😄 You found some lovely treasures, that amethyst decanter is absolutely beautiful.
I know. I know. I've said it before in a comment, but I enjoy seeing you on videos much more than just seeing your finds with you behind camera. The mix of this one was really fun!!! Take care!
You’ve gave me a new hobby.Last week I found a hazel Atlas 4 piece tea set with side plates ,sugar ,milk jug and butter dish in pink glass the pattern was royal lace, only paid £4.Happy days!!!!😀😀😀😀
Happy Valentimes to you too! 😀 Thanks for bringing us thrifting with you! We dont have thrift shops or flea markets in Ireland 😥 Finding that print must have been very exciting! Love the sound of your clock 😊
@@lynncousley4832 Yes but they're aimed at making money for charity and as a result are too expensive for buying to sell. They are also quite small so the selection is limited.
How do you find such amazing pieces for such little prices. That bowl is amazing. Im going to keep my eyes open for a Parrish. Youre such a tease, you crack me up. Why do I belly laugh thru most of your videos. lolololol
I've heard those cookies called Mexican wedding cakes or Russian tea cakes. Thanks for taking us thrifting. Something I've been missing during the quarantine!!
I can’t believe the amount of clear glass that’s out there! I haven’t found much of anything lately either 😕 BTW the cookies are called Mexican Wedding Cakes AKA butter balls, snowballs. Love the bubble bowl!
With fine chopped pecans you get Mexican wedding cookies. Also an Italian version. And Russian version. Maybe it is an International wedding (or holiday) cookie. Lol
Beautiful bubble bowl. The coffee pot was a great find. The amethyst glass is so pretty. There are modern stoppers with actual amethyst toppers. (I don’t think it would look bad as long as the amethyst is small). Fun shopping! Pets to Salem ❤️
Love your content. I just saw the Farberware Art Deco Amethyst Glass Decanter on eBay for $149.99, Comes w 5 shot glasses and looks to me they have used a replacement stopper (maybe that set did not come with one?) Pattern name Cambridge. Really lovely. You always find the most beautiful items. I so enjoy watching.
Hi Lovely video. That glass dish that you said was possibly for bananas, I once saw one years ago...shorter in height, And I really wanted it but it was not up for grabs. I was told that it was an asparagus tray. I thought it was so lovely and I have never seen another. I live in the Caribbean island of Trinidad, And unfortunately we do not have thrift shop with hundreds Of items as you do. I love glassware especially from another era, As things were so well thought of with precision and practicality.
Beautiful. Reminded me of rhe pink dogwood set the restaurant at Multnoma Falls used for so many years. Lusted after that set...I would stop in on trips to/from Portland, OR to/from Walla Walla WA just to visit it. At least once a year to have coffee, pick up the "Log Cabin" Incense from the gift shop, stretch my legs by walking up the trail to the glorious bridge across the falls. Sweet nearly forgotten memory. Incense is purchased from Amazon now. I wave at the falls now days as I cruise by at 68 miles per hour. Dogwoods in Pink long gone.
Love your videos, and now I have a new favorite song! I looked it up and listened to it, thanks. You have made me fall in love with all these old things!
New Sub here, would love to see the Academy of Fine Arts with you. Only 3 blocks away from you. Keeping my fingers crossed🤞 Curtis publishing company👁👁too!! Lots of historic buildings to see near you👍
Well, Googling brought up a "dark purple glass stopper" on Etsy - but they wanted $14.00 for it. On the other hand, a chrome stopper could be had for a mere $5.00 at several places. (Just tossing out an idea)
Their wedding cookies and I absolutely love that tidbit tree and the color. I love painting old furniture and do you know what the fun thought about that is?...generations after us are going to be the ones that love uncovering, rediscovering, and restoring old painted furniture LOL...Now that’s some endless possibilities
Russian Teacakes or Snowballs. You can put surprise middles: potato chips, Hershey kisses, m&ms , either ones, or you can dye the sugar with a little milk, for festivity!!
My spirit dies a little bit every time you put something back. I’m realizing I have no self control. 😂 I’m crushing on the blue tidbit tray.
love the scenic fireplace and background while sitting in a nice chair wearing a mickey mouse sweater
I’ve gotten rid of my Kerurig and went back to perk coffee. It is so much better. Coffee is richer and really hot. I’ll never go back. First time watching you. Great video!
