Had to go back and watch this video again, if only for the fact that Salem is still very much missed. One can't help but feel a little tug at the heart every time that old footage of him appears at the end of your videos. Always reflect on those 20 years of joy he brought you, and I hope the memories continue to sustain you and make you smile! Have faith knowing he's in Heaven now where his suffering is over and he's being taken care of and looked after by your dad! It'll sure be a glorious day when all 3 of you are reunited! Blessings to you always.

Hi Scott in Salem. You were right. This gloomy weather really does bring a person down. However, watching your video was a good pick me up. Wish I could just click on episode number two. I have many pieces of depression glass and quite a lot of elegant pieces of depression glass that were handed down to me by my mom and her mom. I remember my mother telling me these are very collectible and worth a lot of money. That wasn’t an excuse to sell them LOL. I still have them and I still enjoy them. 😊

Salem is a beautiful sable color! Thank you for teaching me even more glass companies I did not know. I was gifted an “Unbreakable dish set” Same amethyst color in the early 80s. My now husband came over for our first date. During dinner I informed him he was dining off unbreakable glass. I took a cup and winged it at the wall. It smashed to pieces 😑 He later told me that he stuck around after that 😉!!

I do still have 2 pieces of depression glass handed down from my grandmother. One is a green cake plate in the Cherry Blossom pattern by Jeannette and the other is a ruby Old Cafe pattern candy dish by Anchor Hocking. I myself am partial to the wheel etched/engraved elegant depression glass pieces by Cambridge, Fostoria, Heisey, etc. I like how the glass sparkles compared to regular depression glass. Thanks for the video. I love looking at sparkly colored glass on a drab winter day.

Oh boy this was fun!!!! Back in the 70s 80s and 90s when my best girlfriend and I went Antiquing all around Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky this was what we LOVED!!! And it was a real Special treat to find a little "something" that we could afford and then take home and find just the right place for it!!! We still have many of our treasures to reminisce about when and where we found them. And we still do prefer to go on the hunt all dressed up and be able to do lunch and make a day of it!!! But this tonight was fun! I think the Coasters were my favorites...aside from your Christmas tree and fireplace👵💖🦋.

I want to watch the additional videos because I enjoy learning about these beautiful pieces. My favorite is the Hazel Atlas double handled soupbowl & plate. I can imagine doing a dining table set for 6 with an entire dinner service for 6 in this very charming Hazel Atlas pattern. I now plan to scout around for a complete service for 6 or put a service together piece by piece. The color & style are truly something new to me...and I do enjoy resetting my dining room table with change-outs of dishes plus the occasional new settings. Thanks for doing these videos!

Salem is a very lucky cat. He certainly is beautiful. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about the beautiful pieces that you find. I have a few pieces of depression glass plates and one pink bowl with the 3 “footing” legs on it. They belonged to my mother in law, which also got some of her mother’s pieces. I was told that they came in laundry soap detergent boxes. Not sure if that’s really true. I used the bowls and plates once for a bridal shower. A friend told me that I needed to put them in a “safe” place so they wouldn’t get broke. I’ve never used them. Just displayed in my curio cabinet that I converted from my late father’s hunting gun case. I love the look of them standing up with doilies behind them that brings out the colors. My thrift stores really never have the kind of pieces that your thrift stores do. I’m looking forward to your next videos. I loved the sapphire blue dishes. My mom had a set of dishes in the ruby red at one time. Have a blessed night. 😊

Wasn't this fun?!---I inherited the iris/herringbone from my husbands paternal Grandmother, but it was all clear. In/around Albuquerque, it was always the clear that I ran across. Only since I moved back to California did I come in contact with examples in the gold.---It would interest me to learn that you decide to move all your greenwares onto the window sometime later. I used to grab anything cheap (chipped or not). But ended up focusing on the roulette pattern, and have quite a few pieces of that. It all looks amazing (the last time I laid a table, many/many years ago!)

Hello Scott and Salem! I absolutely love how you change the format up, I’m constantly learning from you. We have Peach State Depression Glass Club in metro Atlanta that I joined for a little while. They have a huge glass show every August, when not in lockdown of course. It was really fun and full of fun people. I’m probably wrong, but my guess on your small green glass bowl is a Viking Glass flower frog bowl. But I’m not sure if they made that light green color. Huge thumbs up on this series! 👍

I love your kitty! Especially his meow at the end. And I’m very fond of depression glass. My grandmother had many pieces of it way back when. Wish I’d have hung on to some of it. I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite from what you had in today’s lineup! I’m looking forward to the next installment.

I was always overlooking both the Newport (hairpin) and Oyster & Pearl pieces because I found them mostly in the fired on Platonite (Hazel Atlas) and Vitrock (Anchor Hocking) colors. Thanks for the lessons.
