Thank you for having affordable prices on the items you sell. A lot of thrifters on youtube claim it's just a hobby for them but clearly their prices say they're in it for the profit.
Well thank you. Honestly....I'm here to provide a service but yes...to make a profit as well. But....I do try to be realistic and do my research before pricing items or placing them on sale. For me, there is nothing better than quick "turn around" of my investments so I can reinvest that money in new stock. It's really the trill of discovery that is the most fun for me. Just a story- in 1939, my mom purchase a large amount of green Miss America dishes at a church sale for $5.00. She told dad that they were for my sister’s birthday party. For years they were the family birthday dishes. When mom died, they automatically went to Mary.
I asked her about them a few years later - Oh,
they went into the trash ! I was sick-

Yes, I had those skates, but the green furniture made me feel like I was back in the pediatrician's office waiting room back in the 60s. He smoked during our exams! Please post more thrifting videos.

Great video, Scott! Loved all the background music! Congrats on the lamp shade score! Those Taylor Smith Taylor dishes would have been in my cart in a flash. Then probably would’ve started to regret the purchase a bit by the time I got them all home, but still would love them. 😆
They were really cool and it's a sweet mid century pattern. The price wasn't bad for a personal collection but as a reseller, I have to calculate so many factors before making a purchase, as you well know. I just decided to pass them by and let another happy person make the discovery. I have a hard fast rule for myself......if I plan on keeping something....I must first decide where am I going to put it....how often am I going to use it and do I really need it. But honestly....sometimes I break my own rules! Thanks for watching and I enjoy your cameo appearances with you know who! :)

Oh my StarZ! I about pee'd my pants giggling at the Liberace clip of him parading around in those wicked shorts Whata HoOt! I had fitz of laughter through out watching your video! You are too funny! I thought the buffet and side board were so nice and what a price! And the green sectional was to die for! You found some fun stuff, and I too know the feeling of the rush one gets when you spy a treasure and grasp on to it with a grip of death and your voice becomes a whisper and you clutch the object close to your chest and look around as IF someone might snatch from you or the store clerk might up the price! I have been know to march up to the counter & check that item out, lock it in my car come back into the store & continue shopping. When I was a young dealer starting out I found a Quezal lamp shade in a thrift store and sold it at the flea market for $10, LOL, I didn't know what in the hell I was doing.

My thrift stores don't have anything as nice as this one. Ever. It's unusual to see even two or three matching items, let alone whole sets.

Love the cobalt HA tumblers. Oh man.. filming a shop with me is not easy. I uploaded my first attempt yesterday and gave all of my favorite RUclipsrs a huge at-a boy for making them look so easy. I was a nervous wreck when I got through. I should have picked something other than a great estate sale for my first one.
Oh my word I have LOVED Quezal since I was a teenager. I NEVER thought I'd find it for $2.99 in a thrift shop! Quezal was almost as good as Tiffany and a luxury item when it was made. But I'm sure you know that already! I went back 3 times that day hoping that they were pull out more from the back room. I was thankful to have found the one shade.
Scott's Old Curiosity Shop you know Scott they may put out one or two more, you never know. If it's not far from your home it might be worth a stop in in a couple of days. Best shop with me you have ever done. Superb!!!

I dug the light pole at the beginning, but not for resale, for myself, lol. I would have no use for it, but it's awesome. I react that way too when I find big scores! WAY TO GO!!!!
Ugly sells, but not that kind of ugly, lol. Those casket shades would look nice on the right kind of lamp, but I have trouble picturing which kind. Everything with flowers is always broken :(
Wow, $200 is a great price for those... but I really value antique and vintage furniture and in that condition without needing work, how lovely is that? That chair is nice, but I agree the upholstery is awful, but that can be changed. You have some amazing furniture at that shop. Funny, you help up the green dish and before you said it I said aloud to myself, "No, not worth it, please don't grab it" and you then said pretty much the same thing, lol. The starburst green dish might have gone in my cart for further review... but at that price I'd probably have passed it up. I love depression glass, the market just isn't there anymore and that's a little saddening. I can't help myself sometimes though, lol.
The pink glasses are beautiful and wow what a seating setup! Man I need a mansion for all the things I like and at the price... I'll just move into that little area, lol. That teapot, I found a yellow one like that and mine was also chipped :( Yep, I'd have bought that hanging lamp too!

There were some very good deals to be had in there. I thought you were building a set of Miss America, it’s hard to go wrong at 44 pieces for $40.00. I thought you were going to get that exquisite lamp shade near the beginning it’s nice to be out and about with you again Scott.🖤🇨🇦

I would call the Shawnee bowl a Winter Squash Rind color, lol. The unmarked dinnerware is 'Hazel' pattern by Scio Pottery Company of Ohio, circa 1948. I have a couple pieces of my Grandmother's. Quite the floor lamp you spotted there. Ugh. . .
