Wow, not only is there finally a modern tool for this, or one that requires another super expensive piece of software to work, but on top of that it's released free! Super cool
Just did a killer shot using Facebuilder in Blender and Geotracker in After Effects. I had to use BlenderAE from aescripts to send the geotracker data to blender. This is a game changer! THanks!
@keentools this was a fun little found footage “vlog” thing I collaborated on with Andrew Bowser. Dropped without promotion for full effect. Using facebuilder and geotracker with a blender>after effects>blender workflow. Spoilers I know but my vfx are at the end. ruclips.net/video/yLOoNjQosB4/видео.html
Could have been really awesome to have two months ago when I needed to replace a prop fire extinguisher with a real looking one. I tried to do it with your object tracker in after effects but it didn’t work with Blender yet. Had to do it all frame by frame. Thankfully still worked out very well.
Hi! Here's a video guide:ruclips.net/video/v7R246evN_U/видео.html, and here you can find a written tutorial: link.keentools.io/gtb-guide. Hope that helps!
Hi! If you're dealing with occlusions during tracking, our masks can help. Please check the 'Masks' section of this guide for details: link.keentools.io/gtb-guide
Although FaceBuilder and GeoTracker come together in the Blender pack, they need individual subscriptions. GeoTracker for Blender's beta will stay free until its official release. Once stable, it'll need its own subscription but can be used on all supported platforms like Nuke, After Effects, and Blender.
Hi! By choosing the 'Geometry' mode of tracking, you capture the 3D object movements with a static camera, which is often all you need. However, if you aim to also track the camera's movement, you can either switch the tracking mode to 'Camera' within our add-on or use Blender's built-in camera tracker.
You can take a look at this detailed tutorial to get a better understanding of geometry tracking with our add-on: ruclips.net/video/v7R246evN_U/видео.html
Hi! We're in the process of creating new tutorials for Blender, so stay tuned! Yes, it's possible to track different targets in the same footage. To do this, please create a second GeoTracker in the scene, load the same footage, and select a different geometry for tracking. However, when it comes to hand tracking, please note that GeoTracker doesn't support deformable geometry tracking.
Hi! We don't provide a traditional camera tracker, but Blender does. That said, with GeoTracker, you can still track a camera if you have a model of the static objects present in the frame.
Hi! Typically, video orientation is auto-corrected using metadata. However, Blender doesn't handle this natively, and we utilize its tools to read the video. To tackle this, we added a 'Split video to frames' command. This allows you to split the video to sequence and then rotate it to any angle divisible by 90 degrees, which can then be used with GeoTracker. Check out these screenshots for details: www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/tn5lizb36vqc1hihy4q1g/h?rlkey=0yci7bu03xpaojwsl3kzvxamb&dl=0."
Yes, you can download version 2023.2.4 and use it for 30 days for free if you never tried it before. Keep in mind that it won't feature improved texturing, selected pins export and lock view options added to the release since Nov 2023
Hey! Please download the KeenTools Blender Pack from the website. If you’re on Mac, double-click on the downloaded DMG and find the needed zip file inside. Open Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons. Press Install... and select the downloaded zip file.
@@cg.man_aka_kevin Each beta version is functional for 30 days, after which we release the next one. Each can be used for a full 30-day period. When we launch the stable version, it's likely to come with a 15-day free trial, just like our other tools. After the trial, you'll need a subscription. And yes, you'll have to grab the next beta/stable version from our website or use the updater in Blender. It won't just update on its own without you knowing.
This crap crashes my pc when analyzing the video. It's a simple mp4 and my computer is more than capable of not crashing blender. Thank god I didn't waste a dime here. Absolute crap.
Try this. Get a camera track first (switch to camera tracking mode) using a static object in the clip. Then create new GeoTracker, plug that camera in the Camera input and track the object that is moving. Hope that helps!
@@keentools i tried everything but nothing is reliable first i did ground track with general blender inbuilt tracker i have vertical footage i want to trackground adn character face at same time. so i tracked the ground normal way. invertical footage u have to swith sensor to horizontal(generally) but geotracker dont work with sensor to horizontal so have to adjust the sensor size and shift x and y of camera that way so it is aligned with the exact position of the tracking markers in the tracking scene( alignment of traking marker in empty version and in ithe actual tracking in the tracking mode ) i sucess it then geotracker work with sensor size to auto. but major problem is the track is very off .like impossible to put it because it is moving forward and backward so quick with jittery motion ( the geotracker mesh) (face mesh) it would be great if the camera is not moving but when thecamera moves with alignment of ground track it makes it impossible to track the face geometry with geotracker mesh. so then i tried another way making one geotracker geometry track of ground plane and then making another geotracker trak of the face 2 geo tracks with same camera now camera stays static in one position so igot good track of both face and ground i applied both same focal lenght to the same camera. and its good just now the ground moves in 3d viewspace and face moves like ususal but i needed it so that i can get the reflections of teh things that going on the ground on the face of the character so. this trick works but again if there is siulation its not working as geometry is moving in 3d space . but for me it works fine no problem. in my case but this still i a confusing topic. to track ground and object at same time in the geotracker. or ground with traditional track and face with geotracker gives so much artifacts that geotracker fails to track face due to moving camera.

lets go perfect timing
So, is it just object-based tracking? or can we track stuff like fields, surroundings?
Hi! With GeoTracker, you can track both objects and camera movements. Essentially, if you have a model of something, GeoTracker can help you track it.
Gosh dang it man. He got us with the end.
I want this !! Cool! Amazing! Is it still free beta?

The object will have camera and object motion in it, right? This can cause issues, like motion blur etc.
Or am I wrong?

you are crazy keentools! but will this be possible in vertical videos?

How you create that fire simulation in real-time? :O
I don’t think it’s simulation perhaps just a video on top…

Is it require internet when install & while using addon?
Yes, you can install and use the add-on without the internet. Just download it and the Core Library from our website beforehand for installation.
wow 😮 .
How do u add a custome shape to track iv been trying
Sculpt a fitting 3D shape or download a 3D stock model and just plug it into Geometry input
This better be as good as it seems, I have been waiting for this for 15 years. The native Blender tracker is shit in top of shit.
Maya version?
Maybe someday
For Object Tracking, this Add On is truly a Game Changer, but for Camera Tracking , it is a good Solution in many Cases but sadly not for every Case😢
at least its 100 times better than the build in camera tracker from blender
