I prefer the L4D original campaign as it feels more realistic since the survivors are really never safe It also has a more grim atmosphere in each campaign, showing constantly that each sign of hope is likely fake and they can only rely on themselves to have the smallest chance to survive.
@@gronskko Yeah that's the thing too. @@johnernest5843 it’s so easy to judge, but truth is you don’t know the effort of editing such a video behind the scenes: recording, synchronizing the audio with the video, cutting, synchronizing the subtitles and the music, adding effects (if needed). This “low plastic effort” easily took me over 15 hours for only 20 minutes of content, but it’s just easier to shout out that the whole video was single-handedly generated by AI. The only things where AI is involved are: - the script was invented by me (how would you explain otherwise the mistakes and flows I’ve put during the Sacrifice comic? Some people have pointed up in the comments that I did some mistakes and they are correct). The information from the script are from my own expertise and from the game’s wiki. However, AI is used in my script to improve the way it sounds and expressed. Why would you prefer a blank script instead with lines such as: “the survivors got there, did that and that’s how that campaign ended”. Enhancing the script with AI is not a bad thing as you would imagine. A lot of people do this and you don’t even realize. - the voiceover is entirely made by AI and this is the main reason there is so much hatred around. You can’t really control the way it sounds, but you can definitely do some improvements to those voicelines behind the scene by editing the voiceline, but hey, I forgot the whole video was generated by AI and it doesn’t requires any form of editing.

On the Sacrifice: Because the campaign can have you choose any of the survivors to die, I always wondered if the Sacrifice could have had a thing where it randomizes who died(Either of the OG 4) thematically and story wise, Bill's death makes sense. Great video! The AI voice acting was okay, but you can’t control everything. Just to clear some things up, it is shown that the L4D survivors are on the sailboat heading for paradise at the end of the Sacrifice Comic, Louis was injured after stumbling upon a boat full of witches, The Slaters robbed the survivors of their weapons and kicked them out to die and the armored truck wasn’t shown in the original Death Toll map because Crash Course was added as a DLC campaign a year or so after the release of the original game.

They've been through a lot i still remember the ending was they headed to an island but im not sure there could be chaos awaits for them thank you for uploading this i love this OG game
This is incredible man, I thought I knew every single detail about all the campaigns and even the unreleased ones but I was wrong lmao, I thought the last stand was just a new campaign that had nothing to do with the story and was just new content and I never knew about the noncannon alternate pickup truck route in death toll,it would be cool if valve let us pick on which one we wanted to go with as they both eventually led to dead air
We should thank to The Last Stand community team for making this campaign and helping it "fit" into the game's story uncanonically. Remember that this campaign is just an if-scenario and it was never part of the story. The base game was made in 2008 and this campaign was made in 2020.
very nice detailed explanation
I didn’t like the use of an AI voice but otherwise this video is brilliantly done. The script is well written and the editing is great!
I love the editing, i understand your reasons for using a TTS voice and know it was never an issue before the whole AI controversy so make videos however you want before you are confident in using your own voice one day
That's such a kind comment, thank you!
I prefer the L4D original campaign as it feels more realistic since the survivors are really never safe
It also has a more grim atmosphere in each campaign, showing constantly that each sign of hope is likely fake and they can only rely on themselves to have the smallest chance to survive.
I've played l4d/l4d2 as a kid around 4 5. ı still play it to this day (btw ı love ur vid keep up)
I feel like there's going to be L4D3 coming
Why does he say left FOR dead so aggressively ?
AI
@@derekboogaard3378 I also caught that too. Dead internet theory is real. Nothing is actual people anymore.
Great video, you should make one for the L4D2 campaign
the boat under the bridge has sheets ton of supplies
The story is so well thought through and round it's 🔥
Bro said “Louise” im dead
Because bro isn't even reading the script. They're using AI to generate this content's voiceover
@@johnernest5843 Agreed, the whole script sounds like its made by chatGPT or something, lol
@@gronskko Yeah that's the thing too. This entire video feels like plastic low effort content farm shit
I'd rather watch some Bulgarian RUclipsr with 20 subscribers speak passionately in their video essay through broken english than sit through this kind of disposable media that had no effort behind it
@@johnernest5843 it’s so easy to judge, but truth is you don’t know the effort of editing such a video behind the scenes: recording, synchronizing the audio with the video, cutting, synchronizing the subtitles and the music, adding effects (if needed). This “low plastic effort” easily took me over 15 hours for only 20 minutes of content, but it’s just easier to shout out that the whole video was single-handedly generated by AI.
The only things where AI is involved are:
- the script was invented by me (how would you explain otherwise the mistakes and flows I’ve put during the Sacrifice comic?
@@Sh4dow_007 ok louise
I love that you show the campaigns,
It's pretty cool
Thank you i didnt know how the l4d1 got into each campaign
Awesome vid. Highly suggest to make another one for the 2nd game.
We need a part 2 of this
Great video, I was super invested, bc I play the game all the time but never knew the connections. Are you gonna do a L4D2 campaign linked together? :)
Its said that after L4D2 and Louis (not "louise") leg heals they board the boat to escape
Bro where were you?
I was waiting for your l4d2 video's for so long
I disappear from time to time, but I get back when I get some inspiration and have the right motivation to create a video. Thanks for being around! 🙌
I just re-downloaded L4D2 like 4 days ago just in time to watch this video. I've always wondered about the connections of the story. Great video
The 4 Horseman of The Apocalypse that's the reference of L4D game and reference from Ancient Greek Mythology about "The 4 Horseman of Apocalypse"
Not even 5 minutes in and he’s called Louis “Luís”
It's an AI reading the names off and doing the voiceover work so you'd expect some mistakes like that.
Underrated Channel and video
I dont understand why people hate for the Ai voice. Just because it's Ai? Tf
W video fr
Now I know how they are connected
Thank you so much bro 🙏🙏🙏
00:30 That gave me chills. I’ve never seen that Crash Course truck behind those trees at the spawn point in Death Toll and I have more than 4000 hrs.
Edit: nevermind it was added with The Last Stand update.
actually looking to the l4d comics military didnt execute them because theyre knew very much about the special infected
I had no idea Dam It was a scrapped campaign or think The Last stand was an “alternate route” but still end up in the same place. Other than slight mistakes like the slater family and some stuff talked about in the comic, great summarization of the campaigns!
"Son, we just crossed the street" that's real talk
That military base custom map looks great!!
New subscriber and I love Left 4 dead series they’re amazing Bill is the best character in the first one season is Zoey in my opinion keep the videa coming also can I ask you something as will keep up the amazing work
So that explains how they got a train at the beginning of the sacrifice...
I never realized until today that the characters were carriers of the virus, potentially infecting everyone that tries to help them. That changes my view of the whole game.
Well done video man! 👏
this video kinda reminds me of those RUclips videos i used to watch back in 2010, only difference is that this isn't in 480p
On the Sacrifice:
Because the campaign can have you choose any of the survivors to die, I always wondered if the Sacrifice could have had a thing where it randomizes who died(Either of the OG 4)
thematically and story wise, Bill's death makes sense.
It still makes me think about what could have been if one of the original 4 had one random survivor sacrifice themselves. Instead of always being Bill
Bill's sacrifice was confirmed as the canon ending for the campaign
AI voices getting pretty good, first hint was four, but the concrete was the “C one hundred and thirty” 11:18 😂
17:15 if i remember correctly, isn't they just escape the fort because it got breached by the infected, starting with a hunter jumping up through the wall followed by a smoker after someone on the base turn on the base sirens?
Yes, full details of those events can be found in the Sacrifice comic.
i would love a show where they dive deeper into their characters
Great video! The AI voice acting was okay, but you can’t control everything. Just to clear some things up, it is shown that the L4D survivors are on the sailboat heading for paradise at the end of the Sacrifice Comic, Louis was injured after stumbling upon a boat full of witches, The Slaters robbed the survivors of their weapons and kicked them out to die and the armored truck wasn’t shown in the original Death Toll map because Crash Course was added as a DLC campaign a year or so after the release of the original game.
Love the presentation!❤
the last stand, the cold stream are the only campaigns that aren't canon those 2 campaigns are more likely a free add on level and ofc the sacrifice which by the way takes place in the same timeline as the Dead Center campaign well give or take a few weeks before the outbreak reach Savannah
4:04 “Including a powerful mini-gun on the roof.”
Every AI tank and versus infected player ever- “And I took that personally”
I hope they create a campaign between Blood Harvest and The Sacrifice, to visualize the military escape
Now do the l4d2 survivors linked campaigns
I was a teenager when I first played this game. Now Im a father and I play this with my kid.
This has so written all over it.
Honestly the slaters leaving them with no weapons instead of killing them was probably worse than death
