@@kingsleychan I have only one book which i dub as "investment" - 1963 X-Men #1 in CGC 4.0. I would like to someday pick up a AF15 and I do look out for silver keys that are of good value.
Great video. I had this set from when i was a kid and didnt believe the hype, they will still hold value but really only at 10s. Something like 1996 mm will hold value more long term just because of the print run
Yeah agree with your thoughts. 1990 was really a test case on how something so mass produced can catch fire so quickly and come down really hard not long after.
At this time I believe no one should be investing in marvel cards consider how card some of these "investments" have fallen in recent two years. Marvel cards are to enjoy and collect. But if you wanted to park money somewhere within the marvel space I would recommend sealed products of popular sets - masterpieces etc
I just obtained a very very great condition 1990 set and 1991 set both in binders great spacing on some cards would be interested in selling can show videos etc.
At this juncture, you (or the next owner) will only profit if (a) you sell the entire set as it is for more money or (b) grade a bunch of PSA10s. Anything lesser is loss making.
If you're referring to the 1990 Impel i think you're abit late. There are still some set collectors out there mainly looking to complete their gem 10 sets, but outside that I don't see any demand.
Marvel Cards still on the rise !
Hey not much profit but not a lose.. great video.. good luck on your next adventure..
Thanks!!
Glad to see more non sports content! Cardboss ftw, great vid thx for sharing.
Thanks!!
@@TheCardBoss did you ever dabble in comics as well card boss?

What set is in marvel opinion the best to invest then to get graded

Is my collection worth grading? Id say all 8s or above.

@@TheCardBoss thanks for the info
I did a ton of this too. What’s your thoughts on marvel going forward?
Saving this for another video, but I think the investment potential, at least for now, might be behind us.
So informative! 😊
What’s the rarest hologram card? I have a wolverine one and bought it in 1990 and it seems like it’s in mint condition…
I believe they are equal in rarity but of course Wolverine and Spider-Man would be the most desirable. Minty holos are tough to find!
I managed to keep my 10 rate at 30% for 230 cards submitted... Hoping for an uptick in the prices before selling...
Pretty awesome! Despite solid centering, my subs always find a way to get a downtick to 9s.
Grading cards should be 1/3 or less of the price of grading a comic! Total Rip Off!
IMO prices of grading today are rather fair and you have a good selection that fits your purpose (resale/PC) and budget.
