So much new people getting into the TCG. I bought several packets of the first edition boosters and had several good cards but then who would know that they would appreciate so much?
calling people who scalp a product targeted at kids "investors" is genuinely funny lmao. not even being a dick. it's just really funny to me thinking of a comic panel where a little kid with a Pokemon hat, a binder and his mom walk up to a shop at one of the conventions and sees an evolutions booster pack and says "Mommy! can I buy it?" and she reads the price, around 25, and goes "no, 25 is too expensive honey." and the kid gets mad and says "25?? you could get 5 booster packs for that price!" and the mom goes "I know bud, but this man is an investor, he has to make a profit."
To be fair, the kids usually want the newest thing which is generally the easiest to find and the parents usually either have no clue or just buy whatever is available anyway, so scalpers' real target demographic (whether intentional or not) is adult collectors or slower "investors". But I agree, it is pretty funny. 😆
@@atleast4566 I disagree. Adult collectors usually stay on top of things and have more disposable income than children, so they buy up most of the stock quickly. And while the kids are saving up their money to get the new set the scalpers are jacking up the prices. Then normies see these products listed on ebay, or in some Tik Tok video, of the item selling at ridiculous prices so they all rush out to buy up anything that's left. This in turn leaves nothing left for the younger audience to get their hands on once they've finally saved up enough to go out and buy it.

I recently got back into Pokémon since late July to early August of this year and I’ve never knew how much I missed on Pokémon but damn I missed everything a lot since the last time I collected Pokémon cards back in late of 2018. This was super helpful and thorough. I'm returning back to collecting after dropping off around the time Primal Clash came out... I have a lot to catch up on. I'm a master set type of collector, so I purposely collect ALL variants for a set, including tin exclusives, stamped cards, league place cards, etc. and I'll even grab any misprints/errata if they happen to exist. I see a lot of confusion over what is considered a set vs a master set, and I've even seen the term "grandmaster set" thrown around which is probably closer to what I try to achieve, but not sure if it's really a term that holds any weight. Would love if you did a video that covered the differences!

Pokémoncenter is a safe option. Your local games store should be fine too. Personally I avoid Amazon and Facebook marketplace. ETBs include booster packs, which contain randomized cards. They will all be from the Stellar Crown set, but different cards. (You’ll get some duplicates obviously). However, the promo card from the ETB will be the same
I MADE A MISTAKE:
ETBs come with 9 booster packs, not 10. Pokémon center exclusive ETBs come with 2 extra packs. 1:06
crown zentih comes with 10 though. Some etbs also varies with 8 packs as well

2. If i were to buy 2 ETB of the same name (steallar crown ). Would the cards be the same or are they random?
Pokémoncenter is a safe option. Your local games store should be fine too. Personally I avoid Amazon and Facebook marketplace.
ETBs include booster packs, which contain randomized cards. They will all be from the Stellar Crown set, but different cards. (You’ll get some duplicates obviously). However, the promo card from the ETB will be the same
So do the expansion boxes include base set cards or no?
Which product are you asking about?
for example, the temporal forces booster box. Can you only pull the expansion cards or can you also pull the base set with it too?
@@pubs7826 You cna pull any cards from Temporal Forces, 001 all the way to 218

I hope they release a Pocket TCG booster packs where you can use codes to redeem in the app
