Omg! Thank you! I’ve been debating on getting a dtf printer (well converted one) but was hesitant because I wanted to be able to do exactly this with tumblers as well. Thank you again 🤗
your direct to film transfer videos saved my etsy shop lol THANK U (also me not being able to focus bc i won’t stop starting at the skeleton in the background 👁️👄👁️)
OMGOODNESS I just LOVE your videos!!!!!!! Thank you soooooo much for ALL the time you spend making these videos! I use your videos in my classes at my local domestic violence/sexual assault shelter. My ladies just LOVE YOU!!!! Thanks again and god bless you and Morgan💕💕💕💕💕so much love
You're so welcome!! I know you can do this!! Just jump in and give it a go...and don't be afraid to mess up sometimes. It's how we learn and get better! 🤩🤩🤩
So excited to come across your videos! I’m a total newbie and am starting with DTF for Ts/hoodies etc. Question what size would the print be for this on a gang sheet? Thank you
Waiting on you to make my afternoon! O, Michael, aka Mr Crafty Pants, missing you & sure would have enjoyed your humor & skills for the past few weeks😢 while healing from knee surgery ❤😊
Thank you. I'm just starting with tumblers & DTF transfers & I'm excited. I need to get some silicone. They are putting g a hurting on HTV & I loved HTV but then I got into AI & DTF transfer. I'm blown away.
That is amazing. I have the stuff to do DTF (well the hack) but haven't done it yet. I'll have to try it. I wonder if DTV would work as well. Thank you. I love your videows
I tried the dtf hack on a tumbler and it did not work. The powder turned to a gluey mess when heated. I guess that is why it is good for textiles as it gets into the weave as glass and metal it doesn’t
Michael, you are the absolute best! Very knowledgeable on Cricut and buddy, I love you to the moon and back! Please keep your videos coming and I will keep watching and saving them!
I'd say you won't be limited to white tumblers only. Most of the time you'd have to do full coverage...I've seen another video where the guy wrap a full black tumbler with a dtf transfer.
I have a second question-- I've seen some people use an air fryer or microwave to sublimate- do you think it would be possible to use either of those with DTF?
This might sound dumb but what’s the benefit of doing the dtf on a sublimated tumbler as opposed to just sublimating it? Are there any differences? I know for clothes the reasons but I can’t think of why the dtf would be more beneficial over just sublimating one. (I’m not being sarcastic or rude saying this I’m honestly asking.) ❤
@@suzanneniemeier9899 you can't use an inkjet for DTF printing. DTF printers are vastly different. You may be thinking of where inkjets are converted for use as a subli printer. Big difference.
You can do DTF on non sublimation products. I’ve done regular tumblers, wooden signs, mouse pads, and have seen it done on glass but haven’t had luck with it yet. I believe glass takes a lot more time, and I just haven’t played around with it much yet. There’s also UV DTF printers that easily press on glass and many other substrates. That’s my next investment, but still shopping for the right one.
@@mrcraftypantshi. Why is my sublimation dtf look melted after hot press. Ink is cured with powder but after transfer on acrylic it looks like wet ink going every where?
Wait until the technology on the desktop printers improves. We utilize DTF for our business and have met numerous people who jumped in a bought machines early. They are constantly complaining about the maintenance nightmares and lack of support from the sellers. Quality is not there compared to commercial units either.
TYVM - I love doing the DTF - everything turns out faster & better 0 but never thought of doing this - must try - thanks again - love all your tutorials - I don't say much - but always give you thumbs up lol

Can you use a UV DTF wrap to a sublimations tumbler? With out the pressing machine, just squeegee it and peel?
Wondering this too!
Tried. Was very difficult.
Use the hinge method.
I see no point in doing this.. why roll the dice on a tumbler when the barrier to sublimation is like $250??

Mr. Crafty, Which printer do you use for Direct Film Transfer, would you please show up your printer along with the printing process.
Would you follow the same process for tumblers? What press would you use?
hello, thank you so much for your video. Is the dtf still holding on lol?
If I want to cut a wrap into pieces can I to break up a design.

Question what size would the print be for this on a gang sheet?
Thank you
Same size as the cup or for sublimation? I have def stickers - going a little bigger than the cup. I’ll cut the excess.
Your tutorials are always so informative! Thank you Michael.

I hope you’re on the mend ❤❤❤
So it's not somethjng you want to sell a customer?
Do you do the dtf transfer as you would for a shirt? Meaning put the powder and bake then press?
The 143 vinyl company he used - you don’t need the powder.

you've got to be talking about Michelle she sure is
Yes she is ❤
I tried but the dtf film peeled off really quick and easy. Maybe I did something wrong
Why did you recommed such a short period for other mug press'es as the Cricut takes anywhere from 180 to 300 seconds?
Michael, you are the absolute best! Very knowledgeable on Cricut and buddy, I love you to the moon and back! Please keep your videos coming and I will keep watching and saving them!
Would this work on a 20oz ss tumbler?
i love it. another great way to use dtf. thanks
Glad you like it!
This is great! Love it ❤stay blessed love 🥰
Thank you 😍 Same to you!
That looks so fun and it came out beautiful.
Thanks so much! ❤️
Can you use a tumbler heat transfer machine?
QUESTION!! IS DTF Food safe?
love your videos thank you
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Really Cool! Looks fantastic!
What is the advantage of dtf over sub?
I have both, just haven’t done DTF to cup yet.
Thank you for the vid!

This is a good question. I dida quick internet search and facebook search and didn't find an answer.
Cannot wait to try DTF!
Thanks Michael ❤
Like seeing new things! 😊
Can you use any cup/tumbler press for this hack
We used sublimation ready ones. They can withstand the heat.
Love it 🥰 ❤❤❤❤❤
Can the DTF be used on shirts, bags and other items?
Absolutely! They are fantastic for shirts!
Awesome

Was that made with regular ink or sublimation ink? BTW- it came out great!
It’s a dtf transfer so it’s a special ink if I am not mistaken def not regular ink
@@primrose9858it’s a completely special printer that uses toner you are correct! It’s a dtf printer!
@Dawns_Creative_Carousel Doesn't uses toner- That's a different type of printer. DTF uses a textile ink type.
I tried DTF on a tumbler and it peeled off. Does it have to be a sublimation blank?
I haven’t tried it on a regular tumbler yet, but mine has held up fine.
I tried on a sublimation glass tumbler and it peeled off 🙁
@@mrcraftypantshi. Why is my sublimation dtf look melted after hot press.

Why RE PRESS
That is what you do with DTF on shirts and other substrates.
