im using the samsung keyboard cover for the galaxy tab s7 for this as it has a built in trackpad and no matter what mouse mode i set it to i cant seem to get the in game mouse cursor to overlap with the android one even with mouse tracking set to absoulte. any idea whats wrong?
I see a regular mouse works natively. I'm wondering if a multi button gaming mouse can be remapped for the extra buttons? So as a keyboard wouldn't be needed for the few extra buttons.
Great video, just a quick question. How do you get the extracted files on GOG? The file you can download is a Windows installer and not individual files.
You have to go on gog.com website (and not use GoG Galaxy), then in your library choose a game you want to Download, and just below the blue "Download and Install Now" button, there's an option that says "Download offline backup game installers". Click that and it will allow you to download zip file of the game files

I figure it out that the segment size in Magic Dosbox free is not limited to 64 kb for the DATA segment like in the official DOSBox version. So we have the 16 bit BIG Real Mode with a segment size of 4 gb. That is cool. Using the official DOSBox version i have to switch into this mode first before i can use the larger segment size. (The BIG Real Mode is compatible to DOS- and BIOS- software interrupts.)
Background: DOSBOX emulates the instructions of an intel 80386 32 bit CPU, but we start in the 16 bit Real Address mode with a segment size of 64 kb and we can address the memory up to 1 mb +fff0 bytes. In the 16 bit mode we can use 32 bit instructions too in combination with operand size and address size prefixe. But only with a larger segment size we can address more memory. Thiis is the limitation of the 16 bit Real Adress mode for DOS/official DOSBOX. But DOS have memory driver for XMS (himem.sys) and EMS (emm386.exe) memory. I think most of the DOS games use only 16 bit instructions.

How can I save the game? I'm playing Mickey's space Adventure and It sayys ti insert the save game disco into the drive and I save tu press the number from 1 to 9.
Press (for 2s) and release the back button until you can see the magic dosbox menu, and then choose "Save State" from magic dosbox menu. To load the game save, exactly the same option but press "Load State"
@@PAULME_CH ok, I figured it out. Turns out MagicDosbox uses a separate conf file if you select "Expert Commands" which defaults to Sound Blaster 2 instead of Sound Blaster 16 like most Dosbox forks. So under [sblaster] change sbtype=sb2 to sbtype=16.

Yes, DOSBOX likely can run it. You may need to unpack an ISO. Or look for another DOS emulator that can run ISOs directly.

This would be great for Chrome books if you want to turn a chrome book in do a dosbox gameing PC.
Great idea! I do believe magic dosbox is available on chrome books as well. I've seen some people booting up Win95 as well, via dosbox
