- This will likely be my last walkabout. Common sense says that an old man like me should not be wandering around alone for days in the wilderness. I spent this 4th day of my redrock walkabout taking in some of the tourist sites in Buckhorn Wash, including some impressive ancient rock art, some interesting man-made caves, and even a petrified dinosaur footprint.
Thank you for all of your videos especially the "walkabout" ones. I doubt that I can tell you how much they have given me, but I will always be grateful to you for recording your "wanderings and ponderings". In your humble way, you are very wise and your narratives are very calming. I am 68 and, as with you, have had to accept the changes that age imposes on my abilities. On the other hand, age has also given us a life time of experience and the wisdom that experience can bring. Thanks for sharing your experiences and wisdom with us.
Thank you for your kind words
i concur with this comment entirely!
the first pictographs have a very eerie energy about them. all of the figures are drawn in such a way that they are very large, not normal scale for a human being. seems like they wanted to draw all powerful figures, perhaps some kind of deity or perhaps illustrating the power of humans themselves, some members of their tribe. i cant imagine the feeling of seeing this in person when in such a place, so far removed from civilization, and after quite an adventure to make it this far - it was a potent scene even on a laptop computer!
another amazing series that i enjoyed very much! thank you so much for the time i know it took to shoot and edit this. amazing work and a true adventure by anyones measuring stick.
Great video series, as always....
Cool
