Truly disappointing. We hear NOTHING for months, only to find out that it's been canceled. If nintendo turns into sony and starts censoring games or just not including them, I'll just be strictly PC going forward
But there’s other Neptunia games on switch and so are the Mary Skelter games
It seems it has to do with how bad the games barely runs on the Switch.
Im disappointed with this news. I was looking forward to these on Switch. Guess I'll just get them on Steam. One of the things I liked about the Switch was the lack of censorship and whatnot.
However, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and guess that it's a Nintendo of America/UK only issue, which is still bad of course because that's still part of a huge target audience.
I have a Japanese account, and I saw Prison Princess on the eShop very recently. So at the very least, NoJ has no issue it seems.
I am curious on what the guidelines in the west were though.
The plethora of hentai games on the Switch eShop must totally comply with Nintendo guidelines then!
I can’t even express my disappointment and frustration. I wish we had more and clearer information so I know who to be properly mad at. Unfortunately it might be Nintendo. If they want to choose the path of censorship once more, I will vote with my wallet once more.
This ruined 2025 for me, and I'm not even being dramatic.
What guidelines could they be? There's literally a game on the Switch called Hentai Project with AI generated art, and other porn games on the Switch.
thousents of no no games on the eshop, why cant we get neptunia?!?!?
good to see that they chose to not relase on the console and lose sales instead of self censor, they deserve my respect and my money!
...
Wait they are going to relase on playstation... wtf
Maybe this means the originals will be on Switch instead, or Switch 2.
That's because it's coming out on Switch 2!
It's a ruse.
whats strange is that the games arent particularly offensive at all, the guidelines seem to be ok with this wtf
There's no way that's true. If even Sony allows these games, Nintendo should have no problem.
Any death and re:quest players here want to confirm that it is indeed the "contents of the game" and not some other reason that they're not coming out on switch?
knew the time would come, now the Nintendo need to scrubs all those shovelware game on their eshop
i bet the problem was the licking scene on rebirth 2
Yeah that has to be why
The previous games on Switch contradict this as well as the cesspool that is the Switch online store. Yet this is where they draw the line huh?
Nintedo America may be reverting back to pre switch era garbage, and the people saying it’s because of performance issues have u seen the garbage on the eshop come on man
I dont think its content because there is litteraly Hgames on switch
im really to bet the messed something else up like they did with the esrb sisters vs sisters stuff
"Contents don't meet Nintendo guidelines"
Sounds like a load of bullshit to me. They have plenty of games with content FAR WORSE. Then again, Nintendo has recently started to go Woke and Wokies seem to REALLY HATE them anime tiddies🤡
I call bs
Unless it's a quality not a "content" problem
The trilogy is already on the Japanese eShop so I don't buy "content" being the problem
Seam Deck W
Stupid on Nintendo. Nudity games but no neptunia. I haven't supported Nintendo since they started targeting emulation RUclips rs. Nintendo can get bent.
There goes the last good console
Nintendo: is our hardware out of date and weak? No, it's the devs who utilise better and more powerful tech who are wrong.
I dont understand this, Nintendo eshop has so many games that dont fit the standards if this is the case. Neptunia is light compared to some of those other games. Maybe they will give us an Asian-english release or something to make up for it.
Giving the reigns to Bowser was a mistake. I miss Reggie.
But Reggie was the reason alot of Japanese games was sold everywhere but US.
@Acidonia150reborn not sure where that info came from but he mentioned before that it's not the platform holder's decision to decide what's good for the console, it's the ratings board.
@@YaoiKillerProduction He rejected xenoblade on wii which was fully english dubed and its why the sequels have british voices that was nothing to do ratings board.
Get them on the Vita? If they haven't been delisted already.
That is very odd, considering that there are literal hentai games on the nintendo eshop. :/
welp, time to learn japanese at this point
This is disheartening. Looks like I'll be pulling support for Nintendo and migrating to PC. Sony lost me a few years ago, and now Nintendo are starting to show their true colours.
Yeah no code z for me
yet switch have mugen z, the only uncensored version not even steam have. mhhh
Meh, no real loss to me. I play all my nep games on Steam and PS anyway.
It was nice while it lasted, but it looks like the old Nintendo is back.
But megadimension neptunia v2 exists. And death end request 1 and 2. And the fairy fencer games.......and neir automata..............and mugen souls/ souls z................................and resonance refrain...and probably a bunch more I don't remember. Ah, yes. Omega labyrinth life and the azure night games and that pirate h game and probably much more. Mary skelter series.......ok I gotta stop or I'll just keep going lol. Do all the xenoblade games count cuz of all the babes and how they dress/can be dressed?
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 Actually run Switch Docked link down
ruclips.net/video/xeixd101KtQ/видео.html
Today my faith in humanity has been shattered, I really start to consider to buy an gamer PC
Nintendo can take their guidlines and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. This BS needs to stop. Reason the gaming industry is getting closer to another crash.
I'll wait for an Xbox (One or Series X) or Switch 2 port. I wasn't planning on even importing the JP Switch version, anyway, considering the framerate issues others pointed out in the comment section here.
It's already on PC
Performance uh says the games at lower resolutions let alone performance but oh has to be Nep. What a joke.
Well thats unfrotunate. I wasn't planning on getting the games on the Switch anyway since I have a Steam Deck and Rog Ally. But I'm very curious as to what these "guidelines" are, since ya know...Bayonetta exists.
I've had my switch for less than a year.
And in that less than a year nintendo has disgusted me to the point where i will not buy anything for my switch. I do already have some games on there though so I'll just go through those since I've already paid for them
That’s a shame. I was hoping to have a playable version of Re:Birth 2 on a current system. I own it on Steam, but I cannot get the game to run without crashing on start or shortly after start
You've got to be kidding me!
Maybe they don't want games with Arfoire, since she is supposed to be the R4 card that hurted them so much in the DS era...
Or maybe they are just salty because Lastation >>> Lowee lmao
You know why, right? Plutia
Sony always wins baby
Sad thers wierd games like otko cross and pretty girls garbage, yet this is not allowed anymore? I hate western companys
The main reason they aren’t allowed is cause the trilogy doesn’t run smoothly which mainly sucks for switch players
Do you have a source for that? The email in the video mentions "the contents of the Re;Birth series" as the reason.
@ yeah look up videos from the Japan version of the game you can see it for yourself
@ look up jp switch ports videos of the game you can see it for yourself
This is false, the trilogy runs fine on Switch. The video you're talking about is running them on emulator. I played Rebirth 1 on Switch and it runs fine.
@ it actually is true I own megadimension vii it also doesn’t run well most of the time and that video had the exact same frame rate as it
Oh come on now nintendo is cucked like sony and Microsoft. They allow hentai games, but not the neptunia trilogy? God I hate NoA and NoE so much. Well at least I can still play rebirth trilogy on my Vita or on my Steam Deck, but man I really wanted em for my switch hopefully a miracle can happen, but I wont hold my breath.
Edit: Some are saying its because of performance issues and not because of risqué content. Can anyone confirm? I know Rebirth trilogy has been out in Japan for a while now but i haven't seen switch gameplay
and nothing of value was lost
Hold on a second. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt. I heard that the Switch version of the trilogy runs extremely poorly. Maybe that's the reason?
I think most of us playing it on Playstation or pc
Well Neptunia was a PlayStation exclusive so yes
So much for Neptunia on switch in sad now 🥲
