Here again. Because of David I decided to learn to play the piano. Not easy for an old lady trust me.
I showed this piece to my piano teacher. She listened and that‘s what she said:
„Beautiful mega soulful piece. A Mega artist with such charisma, switch between many emotions, extremely difficult chords.At the end very quietly with so much feeling. Mega good.“

I had the biggest crush back in the day. I only just found him again, sadly after his passing(r.i.p). I have found a new degree of respect for this man who gave so much for so little. I never heard him on piano. Wow! I found his version of "Tomorrow" the other day. That was frickin fantastic and phenomenal!!! I wish there was more footage of him in his younger days. And his "Lyin to myself" from Arsenio is the best!! No Bridge I wouldn't cross was excellent. Wish you were still here, Mr. Cassidy!!! Your daddy should've been proud!!!

@Patti Macomber you know, it makes me a bit crazy whenever I read some critic minimizing his contribution to the world of performing arts. And when they act like his singing was "just pop" and not all that good, I just want to throttle them and ask "are you tone deaf, or what?" Because there has not been a talent such as David Cassidy, who put everything in each performance, AND who was so down to Earth and approachable.
Then it occurs to me - exactly what you said, Patti - we fans were the only ones who recognized his immense talent, and acknowledged it... You know, sometimes I think other performers were jealous - and that's why they wouldn't give him the accolades, or induct him into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. 😢 Talk about sour grapes.
But John Lennon recognized his talent. They became friends.
And if John Lennon acknowledged the talent David Cassidy had, then maybe that gave David some reinforcement.

Rare video. Sad that his song never has been released. What a performance of him. He was so talented.
Hard to believe it will be three years since he left us. I am marveling at how he got me thru parts of tough childhood and thru my hardest days and nights during this pandemic. The pain he was in is so obvious now. Some extraordinarily good souls battle mighty demons and they try so hard to beat them. IMHO, had David never achieved the level of fame he did at such a young age, he would have had a better shot at living a healthier life.

This is my first time hearing this song. Pretty raw and very intense compared to some of the PF stuff I grew up with. Needless to say, he did a great job, especially for mainly being a guitar guy, and his singing was of course, impeccable.
He is truly missing from our "today"

I‘m very upset about our radio stations here in Germany. They play his music barely. Not even AFN. He had songs in the 80ies and 90ties too, they never play it but every trash that is published. 🤦🏼♀️😔 There is only SeaBird Radio in GB, on DC‘s B-Day they play his songs for an hour to honor him. On DC’s website you can find Informations. Anyway he has us all over the world forever and a day 💕

shyman99 he learned piano at a very early age. In his book, if I remember correctly, his grandmother was a piano teacher. He also took violin lessons when he was younger .
