- Fallout 3 has quite a few locations and areas to discover and explore, but most of them are neck-deep in the ruins of Washington DC, so you don’t get a good taste of nature. Luckily, there’s a place that was never touched by nuclear armageddon. Can You Beat Fallout 3’s Point Lookout DLC Without Taking Any Damage?

Can You Beat Fallout 3’s Point Lookout DLC Without Taking Any Damage? (in text form)
The setup for these Fallout 3 DLC videos is all the same. Be born, pick skills, escape the vault, blah blah blah who cares. Rather than going through all that, I loaded a save from early on in my The Pitt No Damage run playthrough. I’d be doing all the same stuff anyway. I’ve already proven that I can make it to Megaton and to just about any location on the map with limited supplies without taking any damage. Then I returned to Megaton and got mauled to end by a filthy mongrel because I’d set my max health to 1 so that any damage of any kind kills me.
From there, I began heading deep into depths of the southern region of the Capital Wasteland. My destination is the Riverboat Landing to take me away to the land of magic and family fun. On my journey there, I stopped by some Talon Company building and ended. With one down, I took his weapons, snagged a Stealth Boy, ended his brother, found even more trash in a bed box, and went about my business of being lit on fire and watching a group of ghouls bother the reason for that “Drive Slow” sign at the end of the block.

You needn't even set your HP to 1 for this playthrough; Point Lookout enemies will one-shot you anyway.

I like the fact that incest natives will survive 5 .308 round shots to the head from a sniper rifle.

Once you have a positive relationship with the NCR, their dialogues change and I’m pretty sure that line gets removed. So provided you can score some early points whilst avoiding the generic soldiers, it would probably be easy.

Can You Beat Fallout New Vegas With Only Throwing Spears?
How would that even work? Isn't killing legionaries the only way to get spears? So you'd need to spend your spears to get more spears, and if you ever ran out you'd have no way to deal damage
@@exantiuse497 I used throwing knife spears pretty heavily in my last Dead Money play through and still dropped 40+ in the vault. It would be possible but it would be a giant pain in the ass.
It's a shame that non-explosive throwing weapons have been shit since fallout 1.
@@eloquenthillbilly , so true. I miss the explosive throwing weapons from Fallout 1. They added the Vault Dweller's jumpsuit to the game, why not the weapons too? Also, Exantius, you start out with 10 throwing spears. If you use them sparingly, you can get more off of already dead legionnaires and ones you killed with those throwing spears that you used on them.

This dlc is so creepy I love it. I would like to see more of this in later fallout games. "We'll git you..." Also did you know those big bruiser hick creatures do more unarmed damage with their bare fists than a death claw? It's actually insane.
It’s sorta interesting how all the “immortal” people mention some sort of game, Desmond, the brain, House, the inventor of Nuka cola who was a head, even the guy with a sniper at the top of the hotel in fallout 3 mentions something akin to a game I think. Makes you wonder what game it is, and what prize is at the end.

You could argue they're talking about life as a whole as a game given there immortal status. They're viewing the world from a different perspective from everyone else. Without the threat of natural death everything becomes somewhat meaningless.

11:31 after playing through Point Lookout multiple times over the years, my last playthrough I learned if you fast travel right after placing the thing on the ferris wheel, you can avoid fighting any of the tribals.

Well, yeah. DC is much more fucked than Boston. So, hunting rifles there are much more of an assembled scrap.

That's hella easy with the poisons (counted as potions, of course). I just used poisons with Jarrin root as ingredient to one shot Harkon and Vyrthur

@@The_Swedish_Knight same story. As long as you invest in poisons and keep the jarrin root poisons for special fights. You can make 4 of those poisons btw.
Even without using too much poison, it's still doable. There's defensive ones like frenzy and fear.
