I wasn't expecting such an extensive Scientology parody as part of this Day of the Fools. The effort you put into this video is. Wow. Incredible. I applaud.
While I’m not certain about everything he mentioned hubbbology is legitimately a part of several of the games. That being said, it likely is a parody of things like Scientology.
@@evanf1443 oh, it's definitely Scientology coded, if all the information he gave on Hubology is accurate to the games, haha. I only realized it was actually a *game* thing when I poked around the comments after commenting, but the Scientology parodying is definitely there (and our man clearly realized, given the use of Battlefield Earth as part of his Hubology "proselytizing").
(For folks poking around who might be curious, I never edited my comment to show I'd realized Hubology was actually a game thing, in the first place, bc my primary reason for commenting is that I know it helps videos and creators -- not sure if editing does anything, but I usually dont bother. XD)

To be fair, Hubology would probably be most appealing to former Child of Atom, since they wouldn't care about getting dosed by radiation.
I remember when i first did the hubologist quest in nuka world, and i got to the part where you had to get fusion cores. I put in some cores and then i noticed there was some spots left, and i thought something might happen if i filled it all the way. The proceeding cutscene almost made me throw up from laughing.

Weirdly enough, the presentation of this video very much demonstrated how people can fall for stuff like this IRL if the one telling it has enough charisma behind what they preach. Especially to people who feel lost or desperate for guidance in their lives.

@@AtomicFlounder42 obsidian would be a perfect fit for it. Since they're probably done with Avowed and our owned by Microsoft along with Bethesda, it would just be a perfect fit. They did such a good job on New Vegas and I believe that they would do a phenomenal job remaking one and two
