Freedom Boat Club member since June 2021 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Absolute joy, worry free, clean boats and incredible staff. Had an amazing season and looking forward to enjoying the 2022 additional location in Kingston, Ontario and the 1000 Islands.
I remember going to Cypress Gardens with my parents when I was a kid in the 1960s. I was sad to see it turn into an amusement park, but glad they still do the water ski show. Nice video, thank you.
A happy member of FBC in Nashville. Have enjoyed reciprocal outings in Florida and Alabama and each experience was near effortless. Just a suggestion.....I have found it very satisfying to give a little extra $ to the dock hands. IMO it makes the day even better for everyone.
A few years back the Airboat Club that I in Me and my Wife we did a Lake Clean up on that Chain we took off at the Old Ramp on Ship. And that was before that New Ramp was there. Your going to get Spoiled being in a big Boat. Glad you and Katie had a good time.
The house for sale on your way in to the boat club canal was where my best friend lived most of his life so I spent a lot of time there, have fun and enjoy. Keep the videos coming.👍🏻
I didn't know that these clubs existed. I guess I just never thought about it and I see I have one of these clubs near me too. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of commitment but you've got me looking into it as an idea 🙂
Great video, we just bought a house not too far from here, I'll have to look Into that boat club, can't wait to move back home . Michigan winters are brutal, hope to see you on the water. We'll definitely be checking out those food spots on the water. Cheers
I have kicked around a Freedom membership over here at Tarpon Springs for a while. Chunk of $ up front, monthly fees still WAY lower than ownership! I'd have to pay storage or high/Dry. Likely trailer to water (I dont really have a vehicle for that!) No maintenance, no cleaning, hit the dock, done for the day. Some memberships allow you to use different locations. Come over to Tarpon, and go out to Anclote Key or one of the sand bars! Likely will join in the near future.
I had a 1974 14 ft cajun bass boat with a 1979 70 hp evinrude, but only fish estero bay, pine island sound and surrounding area, no fresh water. Sold it 2007. Loved it but working 6 days a week I got to need a relaxing Sunday.
Like your channel would like to see you expand your boating to the chain of lakes in Leesburg you can spend days going through them starting in lake Griffen all the way down to lake Appoka
Yes, but to support my hobbies, the boating videos get more views and the most reward. I will have some off grid camping and off grid cabin videos comes out soon. I got some new camping gear I need to try out as well.
Since you are a boat owner, what’s the biggest draw of freedom boat club for you? Is it the convenience, or the fact that you don’t have to tow and deal with a ramp, or that you can take different boats depending on the weekend?
The fact that I can take out boats I'd never be able to afford otherwise. Instead if having 1 boat and paying for storage, maintenance and fuel pulling it everywhere. I can pay one monthly payment and have access to all kinds of boats I'd never be able to afford otherwise.
Dumb question but.. do ppl swim in lakes there? Curious of the gator factor.. Im in Northeast so Ive never been concerned with that.. Id awim in literally any body of water up here as we do not have predators..
We have been members of FBC for almost 8 years now out of Jacksonville and love it! Can’t beat the convenience. We did a reciprocal at Winter Haven a few years back and had a ball in the Element E18. It was a blast zipping around the lakes in that little boat, you’ll have to give it a try. We actually stayed in one of the tiny houses on the property, the staff was awesome and a great place to boat. We’ve done a bunch of reciprocals from West Palm up to Chicago, let me know if you’d like some recommendations. I hope you enjoy your membership.
Thats awesome. 8 years is a long time! I have lots of plans, but I have to take the off shore class first. Looks like you sure are getting the most out of your membership.
@@OverlandFlorida we don’t fish, but we did the offshore training so we could use the 24’ Key West CC, the Intracoastal will beat you up in a deck boat. Although our new favorite is the Key West 239 DFS, same hull as the CC, but much more family friendly layout.
I’d be interested to hear how your experience has been or will be with Freedom boat club, I’ve been debating on joint them and ended up buying my own boat.

Thats great news! Boating In Canada would be a fun experience.
Thousand Islands is awesome I belong to the Kingston freedom boat club myself.
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks for watching.
Boats in general are addicting. Every year when we winterize, the countdown to the day we put it back in the water begins. Good videos man.
Luckily I don't have that problem down here. We go boating year round. Thanks for watching.
We used to pull up my bass boat right on the tires and watch the show back when it was still Cypress Gardens in the 90's. Great video.
Thank you! The ski show has a lot of history and memories to it.

They still have a lot of the gardens there too! The ski show never gets old.
Super cool...... Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
So many lakes and canals. Sea rescue would be coming to get me every time. ; - )
Haha. It's actually really easy to navigate.
Very neat. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome

Yeah, I always tip them for sure. I don't tip with an app, I always use cash so I know they get it.

I miss the old dirt ramp. I used to take my jeep and use it. Now that it's concrete everyone uses it.
Good God I REALLY miss Winter Haven Florida 🌴🌴🌴🌅👌 .... "Jungle" canal was way cool 😎..... Have never seen that before 👍👍....
Thanks for this video! this is where I'm from, love our lakes.
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.

What a cool house to grow up in. Thanks for watching!
Simply awesome service n facility. No hassle at all👍
It sure is hassle free!

It just comes down to how much you will really use it. If you are going out more than 6 times a month, then it would be a good idea.
Wow, if that's windy out there, then I wish I was on that lake. You should see the wind and waves we get on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
No thanks lol. I’ll keep my Florida wind!
@@OverlandFlorida I don't blame you, I have a Ranger Bass boat that had to go through white caps that water 4 to 5 feet high recently
Cool content. When is the long sleeve you're wearing going to be for sale?? Camping by boat would be awesome.
I can't find a place to make them cheap enough to sell plus postage. As soon as I do, I'll sell as man as I can.

Thanks for watching. Polk County is a great place to live.
I was hoping to see you guys at Weeki Wachee last weekend! Lol! ~Paige
We can meet up some time for sure. I'll drag my little boat anywhere in the southeast and go boating.
Nice boat by the way 👍👍👍
It might be one of my favorite boats there.
The only problem I have is where do you go with the boat? How do you find good places to take it?
Google maps. Word of mouth. You just explore around.

You are right. Freedom boat club let's me use all their locations. So I will be going out to Anclote. Thanks for the comment.
More videos on freedom boat clubs please.
I have 3 videos out right now with the freedom boat club.

Pine island is a wonderful area!

I have that chain on the list of places to visit. Thats a good idea, thank you.
Lovin'this content ❤️❤️❤️👌👍✋
Thank you Joe!
Do you plan on getting back to doing some overland/camping videos? I’m not much of a boat person but still enjoy your videos.
Yes, but to support my hobbies, the boating videos get more views and the most reward. I will have some off grid camping and off grid cabin videos comes out soon. I got some new camping gear I need to try out as well.
More camping videos!!!

Hey so I had a question. So can you have the boat over night?
Yes. You can keep a boat overnight.
I understand their program. But if they had a lower price program for smaller fishing boats I would have considered them.
Ok. I'm a superfan. How in the heck do I get a Overland Florida XXL tshirt??!! Lol. Timmy C Arizona
There is a link to my t shirts in the description! Thanks Timmy!
Does your membership plan allow you to use boats at other club locations?
Yes, you can use boats at all locations. Unlimited uses at your home location. You can reserve boats up to 4 times at each other location a year.
*Thanks for the video. Been subbed for a little while. What was the fuel cost for the few hours you were out there? ***
They charge $4.50 a gallon. I usually spend $17-25 in gas if I cruise around.
Dumb question but.. do ppl swim in lakes there? Curious of the gator factor.. Im in Northeast so Ive never been concerned with that.. Id awim in literally any body of water up here as we do not have predators..
We swim in all the lakes around here. There are alligators, but rarely see them where we swim.
Hey where can I find a skiff like yours fir a good price new to all this I want to start looking around and get started on my journey lol
Facebook marketplace. Try Gheenoe LT25.
Freedom boat prices are crazy.
It really comes down to location location how often you boat.
@@OverlandFlorida $3k-6k initiation fees and $300+/month is insane.
What’s the pricing like for membership to the club?
Every club is different. You will have to click the link or call you local club.
Seems like a pretty good idea You wouldn’t need a boat mechanic
I wouldn't have to worry about anything at all! Totally worry free.
what's the membership fee and the monthly rental cost?
It depends where you join. But a few thousand to join and then a few hundred each month.

2-5 isn't that long to me. Cant you get a boat all day?
Yes you can.
👍👍

Stick around and I will for sure tell you all about it.
@@OverlandFlorida Awesome, looking forward to that!
We are Freedom Boat Club members in Orange Beach, AL and love it!
Awesome!
2pm to 5pm? I guess you're going to miss the sunset. I like the concept but, such limited use is the only thing keeping me from joining.
We’ve kept them out until 8pm before. Sometimes we go back early. 2 to 5 is when I wanted to use it.
So the only fun part about the day eating you turn off the camera??
Haha.
It would be nice if there were camping areas along the lakes so you could combine boating/camping adventures! 🐢⛺🌴🌅🚤🦀
I'm actually working on that. I might camp on the boat.
@@OverlandFlorida I thought you had to return those boats by Sunset??
@@Valmontst you can keep them overnight with permission. You have to reserve both days.
