Crazy to think that if he had started his rookie year and not gotten injured in the 2022-2023 season he would've probably been on the All-Pro Team *every single year he was in the NFL.*
Everyone always talks about the double and triple teams… for me I’ve never seen an offense get the ball out of their quarterbacks hands faster than playing AD
Facts. Thank you, Aaron Donald 😤💪👊🔥🔥🔥 It was a privilege and honor to watch you play and lead my Rams to the Lombardi 🏆 God bless you and your family. Enjoy retirement and Canton 😎🤙🏾🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I learned early on you couldn’t be mad at this man’s dominance. You just had to accept it was gonna happen to your team, like some taboo field condition
Did you know that Donald didn't have a single sack in games played against the Eagles? Since Donald and Jason Kelce both retired this off-season they'll be eligible to go into the Hall of Fame together. Two greats.

This dude is literally a Defensive God it's either him or Lawrence Taylor as the greatest defensive players in NFL history end of story I'm so happy that he played his entire career on my favorite team as well
I have to give Jeff Fisher some love! HE is the man who wanted Aaron Donald and pushed for the Rams to draft him! Others in the organization were skeptical cause he was so-called undersized! Jeff is more known for how bad we were during his tenure as a Ram, but he got 1 thing right! He saw what was bottled up into that undersized ball of muscle that IS THE Aaron Donald!
I have been a Rams fan for 43 years and have watched all games that I wasn't at in person! Aaron Donald is the greatest individual Rams player there has ever been!
It’s a rarity in sports to have your favorite team have an all-time great player during the peak of their powers. Like you, I’m a life-long Rams fan, but too young to remember the GSOT Rams, so most of my life growing up they were bad/mediocre. Since AD showed up, it’s like a brand new franchise. Will never take for granted watching him dominate on defense, week after week, like only a handful of players in league history have. Just so lucky this legend played every down with the horns on his helmet. Thank you AD, for everything. Get that #99 in the rafters. Like you said, the greatest Ram ever.
As a Rams fan I remember them making the playoffs at 8-8 with Sam Bradford as Qb. But there will NEVER EVER be another AD and he got what I wanted for my favorite team…a Super Bowl. Definitely gonna miss seeing 99 out on the field next season and I hope Cobie turner learned a lot from the GOAT!!!
Sam Bradford never made the playoffs. If ur referring to an 8-8 playoff berth, thats the Marc Bulger era in 2004. Hopefully Kobie Turner can fill in that hole
You had me right up until he said he was the best St. Louis ram. That distinction goes to either Kurt Warner or Marshall Faulk. But Aaron Donald is the greatest LA ram ever.
What about Derrick Thomas for the KC Chiefs?? The oversized coyote for a mascot? Even NeilSmith was fairly dominant in that time that still holds true today!
He did all that while being double, triple and quadruple teamed. WOW! Image if he was not triple & quadruple teamed. Those numbers would have astronomical!
As long as there’s an nfl. There will be another AD maybe not anytime soon but there will come a time when another generational talent like him emerges.
If you know how recruit star ratings work its not a surprise at all he wasnt a 5 star. The biggest knock on Donald has always been that hes undersized for the position. A lot of emphasis is put on guys being ideal nfl size and speed for their rankings.
The ratings are a pretty unreliable ranking system. How many guys have we seen become one of, if not the greatest at their position and they didn’t fit the “traditional mold” for their position or they were low draft picks/undrafted? Tom Brady, John Randle, Aaron Donald, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, Night Train Lane, Antonio Gates, Adam Vinatieri, etc
8:13 They forced him out of the league with them double, triple, and quadruple teams, plus other fruitty touches that the refs weren't seeing and calling so dude got fed up📌

8 minutes in and I haven't heard Warren Sapp's name. Who was a massive inside d-lineman with freak athleticism that got after the qb. Weird you missed on the best comparison to Donald. I'm gonna keep watching, but c'mon man. You're usually on the spot with these.
My only gripe with him was his tendency to choke dudes when he got double teamed. Like bro you're an all time DT, why you gotta due bullshit like that? Other than that yeah he's my #2 best defensive player (Super Bowl era) all time just behind Laurence Taylor.
"He revolutionized the defensive game" No, no he did not. He exemplified it played at a very high level and will be known as a gold standard example yes. But he did not do something like Floosbury (high jump 'flop') or Gogolach (Soccer style football kicking) where the sport has to be measured in a pre and post their involvement era. One of the best of all time (measuring across eras is inaccurate and unfair) but I just dont like seeing that terminology thrown around where it doesn't apply so often.
