Not an epic trip as far as the catch but really valuable information, thanks for that. With a long awaited Panama trip coming up next week after just finishing 34 rounds of radiation plus a nasty cancer drug kicking my ass, the detailed explanation Chris gave on switching up jigging positions is gold. I'll finally get all those pretty Johnny Jigs wet and even lose some so there's an excuse to get back by the shop, Will always points us in the right direction. Filling up the new roll-up bag and adding on looks like just the workout to get back in shape.
. Soon I hope! Seas running 16ft this week. Steelhead are showing up in coastal rivers... Oregon Dept of fraud and WASTE have eliminated all my favorite runs and shut down hatcheries. Might have to move to Florida! Dam libs are taking over here and destroying the state
When I look it up under “Buffalo Trunkfish” it comes back as “Lactophrys Trigonus”😂😂 and idk why but that makes me laugh 🤷♂️ maybe it’s because when I look up the word “Lactophrys” it comes back as being a combination of Latin & Greek, the Latin Portion being “Concerned with Milk” & the Greek portion meaning “eyebrows” 🤣🤣🤣 🤦♂️ Google says they are considered a delicacy in some countries, but the ostracitoxin secretions arnt poisonous to humans. Don’t take my word for it tho because we released ours back to the sea. 😂
@@JohnnyJigsTV They excrete a mucus that’s toxic to other fish. They have 4 lions of meat that look just like chicken tenders. I’ve eaten dozens of them over the years, very common all throughout the Caribbean , known as “ shellfish “ most places.
