can you link to the cable you bought for this? trying to setup this same handle on the R6 and I think it's the USB-C Port Cable for these cameras but I wanted to confirm
One canon R5 battery lasts me about 6 hours of shooting in 4k 10 bit 422. Theres no need to externally power my camera and add extra weight. I just swap batteries when needed. Weight is a huge factor in builds for cameras and V mounts are HEAVY.
Hi thx for the video. Not much documentation about it from Tiltas side unfortunately. Do you have experience with the focus handle? Id like to use it in combination with the focus motor and trying to figure out the setup to use all three functions, focus motor, camera rec button and camera power. Bc the handle has only 2 outputs and the camera only one usb-c. Does yours charge the camera and give you rec-stop control over one USB-c cable? Then I guess Id attach the focus motor to the second one and it should work?
hello! good video. I also have an eos r5 and I would like to put that same tilta handle, but I can't find the exact reference to order it on Aliexpress, could you tell me the exact reference of the article? And if a normal usb cable works, have you tried it with a normal cable? and do you need the F570 battery for the start/stop? Thanks a lot
I dont have the answers to some of these questions. All that I can say is that I bought it from Tilta not aliexpress and that my USB cable seems to be no different than any other cable. I would imagine you need the battery to use Rec/stop since its the only power.
This video contains a very small amount of information. No battery in the handle. Does the record button even work with the R5? Where do the cables go? is there any cable management? how's the ergonomics when focusing? This is just honest feedback; one could learn more from a quick google search.

Are you referring to the USB C cable from the handle to the camera? I think I bought the Tilta cable on their site. Its usb C to C
Awesome. Can you share with link for SmallRig Nato Mount Rig?

There ya go!
Wish the cable would come with it. Great video.
Yea, but from the looks of it you can use any USB C cable if you have an R5/R6. I dont think theres anything special about the USB cable.
Why nobody says about powering options?

I have not used it too much and can only say that you do have rec/stop control.
I wish the Kondor Blue cage allowed for use of the new R5C smart hot shoe.
Yeah, I am sure they will come out with a cage for it soon.

@@EngineeringFilmmaker thanks so much!!
What's the point of the battery? can it power the camera?
The battery powers the control handle. There are buttons on it that you can utilize.
nice man, what can it power? A Ninja V monitor?
Have no tried to power anything yet. It uses a small sony battery so I cant imagine it powering the Ninja V for long if it can.

This was just a general overview video not a tutorial or advanced review. More of an unboxing. This was made before any use of the product.
