we used to go to newcastle city hall to see laurie with wishbone Ash.fab guitarist and great live. He has real charisma when he plays. one of the greats .he has been a big inspiration in my guitar playing. And in the guitar world he is up their with in the magic house.
Had the privilage to see Ash three times in the 80s - every time with Laurie Wisefield as the main man. He never ever disappointed. One time was with Claire Hammell as the femail 'extra' vocalist. His 'King Will Come' was even better than Ted Turners - and I never thouht that was possible! Watch the DVD 'Live At The Marquee' for proof of that. Cheers.
very musical guitarist.infuenced my playing from the start. we used to follow Ash in the early days before and when laurie started, always remember him giving me a wave from the stage at newcastle city Hall back then, like wow fucking brill1
Mr Wisefield is very talented but..this is hideous...hideous haircut and hideous backing music...synthetic 80's sounding tosh. Watch the clip of his playing Persephone with Wishbone Ash to see how good he really can be.

Laurie is up their in the MAGIC HOUSE of guitarists . fabulous vibe and for my taste ,his musicality is sound and well as spiritual.,

Beautiful xcx
Top guitar player which was evident even in the early days with Home
Great style and presence. Epitomizes the best of the rock-and-roll experience in the 70's.
he's an amazing and brilliant guitarist. rich and eloquent. full bodied and well...like a damn good fine wine.
WON , WON ; WONDERFUL....!
