Such a helpful and insightful interview. I was considering purchasing a head device but this has made me decide to wait until there is further research and understanding on safety. My mind was majorly blown when he said ‘there’s a theory in quantum physics that our memories are stored in the universe and accessed by alpha waves’ 🤯🤯🤯 that is such an interesting and exciting concept 🤓 would love to learn more about that.
I'm also interested in finding out more about the theory in quantum physics that our memories are stored in the universe and accessed by alpha waves. Does anyone know who put forward this theory?
@@pmcardle73 Perhaps Joe Dispenza. Check him out He knows so much about quantum physics and the universe. You can find more information on his channel.
I am so appreciative of the work you do! I’ve been watching your channel for about 2 years and you present everything with such honesty and integrity. You’re humble and discerning in your approach but also create excitement over the possibilities of such treatments. Thank you, Alex!
And yes, I would’ve fast forwarded to the end to see if there was an actual wrap up but there were so many damn ads that I couldn’t do it. I’m disgusted.
As a registered eeg technologist trained at Cleveland Clinic under Charles Henry understanding a brain wave one hour recording you , as the tech, could see changes in the brain frequencies as the 16 channel inked out in front of us as the brain functioned. Yes, you saw seizure activity as it occurred BUT you also saw slow wave (delta wave) tracing along with the alpha and theta and beta waves- suggesting tumor existence. You also see high drug interference in the form of excessive beta waves.. then sleep patterns.. brain failure problems ( flat line). A wealth of information if properly recorded and interpreted. This is a highly interesting adjunct to a long neglected noninvasive test that every person should have yearly- in my humble opinion. You get annual physicals but neglect brain recordings. Bravo Dr Beck!!
I loved this interview! It explained a lot of my long Covid symptoms that I had after Covid. My immune system was hyper active and the information about the gut/brain relationships explained a lot of why I was having autoimmune symptoms along with allergic reactions. Thankfully I have already calmed my immune system by brain retraining and healing my gut. I am wanting to invest in an red light panel to increase my energy and possibly continue my gut healing!
Thank you for sharing your experience, it's heartwarming to hear how you're taking charge of your health! I ill be doing a follow up interview with Dr Beck this week - stay tuned for that update
What an amazing interview. Please keep this sort of thing coming, I will be sharing this in some of the groups I run. I need to watch this at least one more time with, because there is so much valuable info contained in it. Great work and good luck with your son
Thank you! I will try and find more people who understand PBM and tap into their knowledge! And yes I watched this a few times myself as it had so much great info :) Thanks for the support btw.
Thanks Alex for this great interview! I'll have to listen to it again as it was difficult for me to understand at times (English is not my first language and accents can be quite pronounced). This doctor is really great and out of the ordinary. We need a lot of such brilliant and open-minded doctors to move medicine forward! I hope that everything will work out for your son and that he will be all right.
You can use English subtitles to take the accents out. Dr Beck has Canadian accent, the bald guy is Australian. You can also set the subtitle language to one that you understand. The transcript of the video is found in the vid description. But be aware that the transcript and the subtitles are generated by the AI computer. It all depends if the computer picks up the spoken words. (Sometimes it is completely correct but other times not. My voicemails are transcribed by AI and sent to my email...but sometimes it is complete gibberish. Then I have to listen to the voicemail to actually see what it said. Usually it seems like if person speaks too fast or too softly or not clearly enunciating the words...the computer can't understand it.) Also google translator is used to translate the words from English to your target language. But if your language is spoken in many different countries, the variability of the vocabulary differs. So sometimes the translation may not make sense to you. Now add in the difficulty of the medical terminology, etc. But with the 'helps' of the subtitles in English or your language (in YT settings), you can understand it.
This video likely won't have as many 100% views as your others, but it should. Thank you so much to Dr Beck for dedicating his research to this and taking the time to share his finding in simple terms and examples with us. His research reveals concerns in how we use RLT (or the sun), and shows we need more development in this promising science. Can't wait to hear the product mfgs scramble to respond to Dr Beck's findings and recent research (despite the mfgs non-commitment by using words like "may", "might", "could", etc).
Hey, yeah I didn't expect it to blow up number wise but those that do watch it are in for a treat! Plus it's going to be a video I will recommend to newcomers and those who have brain disorders. And yes, he clearly shows how there is still so much we need to learn about PBM!
Really interesting talk, thankyou! I'm thinking of getting a PlatinumLED BioMax 300 to help with skin aesthetics and muscle recovery and energy. Dr Beck brought up keeping the panel below your eyes to protect the brain. Could you speak to that? Also if I were to use the panel for macular degeneration type issues can I use the panel or do I need to use a different eye specific device and if so have you looked into these? Thanks for all your really interesting content.
Here's a recent article on eye health from my website www.lighttherapyinsiders.com/red-light-therapy-for-eye-health/ As far as brain health, there are many devices on the market designed specifically for brain health. That being said- I am not a doctor.
Fascinating interview. My question is when Dr. Beck mentioned that he felt therapy below the eyes was safe, how does that translate to red light therapy? Was he saying he had reservations about using red light therapy on the face and head? Or was he only referring to laser treatment in that statement? Thanks
Yes. I purchased a Neuro gamma 4 for my husband who was just diagnosed with dementia and has the E4 gene. He will be starting this in a few days. I have read reviews, and they seem to mostly be positive results. Hoping it will all be okay.
We purchased the earlier model of Neuro Alpha (2017) for my husband who has vascular dementia and extreme anxiety. He used it faithfully for several years and he didnt have good results, although he did have a fuller head of hair.
This is my absolute favorite video of yours, thank you! I started looking into RLT and found you because dementia runs in my family. I started using a Platinum panel on my head about a year ago, to try to prevent dementia. I'm only in the middle of this video, but I'm so excited about this video haha! Thanks again! P.S. I'm a pretty healthy person (with a lot of hair on my head lol), so hopefully I didn't do more damage - but now I know, keep the panel below my eyes
Hi. Thanks for your kind words. Yes it's actually one of my favourite videos as well! I really enjoyed this conversation, I guess because he is treating my son so there is that emotional attachment as well.
Hey what kind of panel have you been using? I’m still in the beginning of this video, but I saw your comment and I can’t wait to ask-does the doctor say NOT to shine the red light on your head? Uh oh…😅
This is one of the most eye-opening things I've come across lately. This and the videos you did on the light coverage of body panels. I'm a new subscriber having come across your YT channel about a week ago. Already, due to you, I've bought a MitoPro+ panel which is on its way to me as we speak. I was tossing up between this and Platinum BIOMAX. The reason I went with Mito in the end was that I want this primarily for skincare (anti-aging), and Mito had 50% of its leds in 630nm and 830nm (the standard wavelengths used by skincare companies) while Platinum only had 15%. Thank you for the wealth of knowledge you share with us.
Hey, yes it was a great conversation. Have you seen this new interview that I just published - ruclips.net/video/_rs4wMJSDrk/видео.html&lc=UgxUH3gzw16eywANpqh4AaABAg - I think you will enjoy that as well :)
Hey how do you like your panel? I was under the impression that those two wavelengths were typically the majority in ever panel. Is that not the case? I’m looking at hooga, but also mito. Thanks
This was by far the best interview for my interest. As a clinical researcher who has been focusing PBMt for chronic inflammatory response syndrome, specifically in areas of neuro, immune / gut and cardiovascular inflammation. Dr. Beck’s insights on the mechanism of action, and the pathways of activation were so very insightful and confirms many of the other modalities that I think are important, such as nutraceuticals that can be combined to improve the outcomes. For example Dr. Lima in the United States has been focusing on the use of methylene blue to improve outcomes of PBMt. Wish there was more formal training on activation points and dosing for stem cells. Can we develop a curriculum for education with Dr. Beck ?
Hey, thank you so much for the comment. Yeah I feel found Dr Becks wisdom and explanations to be extremely engaging and concise. I am going to be sharing this interview with a lot of new comers. Thanks for telling me about Dr Lima, I am going to look into this topic more. As for an education curriculum - this is a neat idea. It's something I will be sure to mention to Dr Beck when I speak to him next. I know Thor Laser run a day long course and some free webinars - You can check them out here - www.thorlaser.com/courses/
Valuable info spanning basic info about nerves and current application of laser/redlight therapy for therapeutic effect. Important to understand targeted use of lasers and physiology and how that is different from LED red light, 600-1100nm. Thank both for this interview!
Thank you for this excellent presentation. Dr. Beck referred preferentially to laser for his research. Yet, most of your viewers probably found this interview through research into consumer products which you have reviewed that are more Redlight and NIR, correct? If the spectrum of tissue penetration moves from redlight-least through laser- most (which laser ?) with NIR somewhere in between, can the associated risks be quantified in a graph for us? Your graphs have been excellent for this sort of thing. Specifically, what is the risk of lypolysis associated with the light therapy spectrum mentioned above? The brain and myelin are composed greatly of cholesterol (lipids), is the benefit/risk for potential above eye therapy for some brain or eye issue quantifiable in any meaningful way? The dillema seems: As you have pointed out, there are known mitochdrial and healing benefits from these therapies. The brain has lots of mitrochondria and their diminishment through age or disease may be associated with neuro-cognition deficit. On paper, NGF, retinal , migraines, seem prime canditates for targeted light therapy- all above the eye. How can we find out more on this?
Very interested in this topic and generally understanding why and how RLT works (i.e. ❤ing science), so very much looking forward to watching this interview! 😊
I hope you enjoyed it! Be sure to check out all my other interviews as well - ruclips.net/p/PLL-dtCdqN20btG75XAToV8vooO14xdW_d This recent interview is one of my favs - ruclips.net/video/_rs4wMJSDrk/видео.html
Please continue to offer such content. Was wonderful to hear Dr. Beck's insights. However, I'm concerned about using red light therapy from the eyes, upward, given what Dr. Beck reported. Can you continue to investigate this dilemma? Thanks.
Fabulous conversation!! I'm sure you'll have more really educated people on who have fascinating things to teach us. Your show is unique and I thoroughly enjoy it. There are some really great podcsts going and I am hoping to see you on some of them sharing your knowledge and experience and your story.
Awesome interview Alex. So much information and great science! - love it! While you're in Perth/re visiting Perth, maybe look up Dr Anthony Chaffee, Royal Perth Hospital. He's a neurosurgical resident, body builder, ex rugby player and I reckon could give you an alternative to medication etc for your son but also help you with your fitness goals. He has a RUclips (Pant Free MD) and all the socials - lots about gut and brain and inflammation.
My son has had a normal EEG for 24 years and seizures that Dr's have never really seen before. I would love to try new therapies because in the US all the Dr's do is throw drugs at him, never looking at why his normal brain does these events. I would love to go to a Funcional Neurologist, this Dr is brillant. I love this interview, I am looking for insight to try to find a cure so my son does not have to worry about these again. Gut brain connection is so interesting as well.
Am I getting this right, that laser is bad for above eyes but leds are ok? Also: I cant find any evidence, that red light Therapy is bad if used above the brain? (No peer reviewed stuff on pubmed )
Hey, yeah so Dr Beck is pointing out how powerful that PBM is on the brain. My understanding is that it can over-excite or over-energise the brain and if there are areas that don't need this extra energy then one could run into issues. Of course if there are no underlying issues, or severe imbalances then it shouldn't be a problem (as is the case for most people using RLT products - myself included). He says one way to know for sure is to go out and do a QEEG scan before treating the brain. I guess an analogy here is you should go to the GP and do some blood tests/heart scans before starting out on a strenuous workout regime. Sure most people could skip this and be totally fine, but there are a few people who could run into serious issues. Obviously Dr Beck works with patients who do have some serious brain disorders, and he understands how powerful this light can be - used in the correct way it can have profound benefits, but like any power there is risk. He understands those risks. As for Laser vs LEDs - I need to get more clarity on this - but it's my understanding that lasers are putting out a much more focused beam of light, so in turn we are going to see a concentrated amount of light - in one wavelength - hitting one particular spot. LEDs put out a range of wavelengths (with one peak that is often listed as the wavelength emitted on a panel) and have a greater coverage area. So combining these things results in less energy on one particular spot. But I may be wrong with my understanding here. And yeah he says avoid it above the eyes until you know it's safe to treat. But I should also point out - he is referring to high powered lasers that are applied directly on the skull. Typically consumers are using LEDs at a distance - say 3-6 inches. So a lot of this light is not going to penetrate the skull anyway and may even be reflected off. I do know a lot of people have been using RLT panels on their face/head for years and I'm yet to hear of any damage. BUT it could happen, and if you were the one that had some negative impact you would be wondering why wasn't I told about this etc. I will reach out to Dr Beck and see if he can chip in with his comments :)
But apart from specific lasers can we use LED Redlight light and the said wavelengths and NIR on the head ?. Many people use these for hair regrowth, sleep and not wear goggles and have done for years which goes against what this video is saying.
I've been doing Redlight and NIR on my crown for my hair and now feel like I could have potentially damaged the brain. This contradicts so many so called professionals even established companies selling these products opinions for years, saying it's good for not only skin and muscle but brain health, hair regrowth and eyes. I'm a bit worried that Hooga even states you don't have to wear goggles ?.
Exactly@@jayedwardsuk5984 -- this interview appears to say that people should not use it on their head hair, face, or anywhere above the eyes as a precaution since we do not know the effects. There is not a discussion about the dosage energy -- just don't do it if I understand this doctor correctly.
@@jayedwardsuk5984 Hi Jay, I'm sorry, I don't know the latest slang, can you explain what does "now in flapping" mean? Thanks if you can find the time to respond!

That was dense with information, thanks. Would love to see Dr Beck to talk with researchers from vielight though. It sounds like he's against an out of the box solution like this, but their peer reviewed research shows that it works on a range of issues. I'd love to go to Dr Beck's for my kids but it's financially unviable right now, whereas one vielight or similar device is achievable if you're using it on more than one person

I guess if you have been using the panels for over 6 years and been standing close to them, face and head too, without any really negative effects thus far that's reassuring! what is the amount of time you usually use them for?
Yeah agreed. I'll paste my detailed response to this question below. I use my panels fro about 5-10mins at about 4-6 inches away. It would be nice to know what issues could be faced by overtreating an area of the brain. So far I've only heard of diminishing returns and not heard anything suggesting damage. Also would be nice to know about how to reduce the risk, I think he mentioned antioxidants. My interpretation is that he's rightly proud of his work and that his concern doesn't necessarily apply to led panels.
I did not understand a tenth of what you were discussing, but it was riveting and fascinating! God bless you both, so that you can continue to help others. 🙏
The takeaway is basically get morning sun. A lot of our issues are caused by lack of real sunshine and the blue frequencies that typical LED lights put out, especially at night.

I guess I’m going to have to change the way I use my MitoPro 1500 panel. I always had light on my eyes, forehead, and the top of my head. If I understand him correctly I need to keep the light below my eyes. Did I get that right?
@@mammajamma8 But what about the tens of thousands of panels and masks people have paid for and bought based on recommendations like this channel. Hi Alex, 10 months ago, hot oil splashed on my eye and burned off 30% of my cornea. I had just purchased a Lyma laser at the time (for anti-aging), so hoping to heal the eye faster, I used the Lyma laser on my eye. I closed my eye and placed the laser directly on the eyelid for 10-15 minutes twice a day. Three days later, the cornea was completely healed (went from basically not being able to see anything immediately post-accident to regaining normal vision). I attributed the quick healing to the laser and was very pleased. However, this interview has made me realise I may have caused damage to my brain. It did not occur to me that a laser on the eye could penetrate through to the brain! Is this something I should be worried about? I am not aware of any changes in my brain function apart from maybe a deterioration in memory, but I'm 48, so this could just be old age? Do I need to go see a doctor?? I would really appreciate your reply. Thank you.
Hey, wow that is quite a rapid healing process! I'm not expert when it comes to the brain and I have to admit I was surprised by these comments by Dr Beck. I can see why he made them though, especially with my sons brain condition in mind. BUT at the same time, I and thousands (even 10,000s') of people have been using RLT on their face, eyes, head etc for years and I haven't heard of negative impacts. IF you did have an underlying brain disorder or an imbalance though you could do some harm.
Alex, thank you for such a wonderful interview. Dr Beck and psychiatrist, Dr Daniel Amen,MD should be collaborating. Dr. Amen, the first psychiatrist to image the brain structure for a more accurate diagnosis.
Dr. Martin Pall was first to research the oxidative stress with ROS (reactive oxygen stress) (formerly called free radicals). Look for YT PALL presentations and reearch papers. I wonder what Dr Beck thinks about using the light to correct the mitochondia which have been ravaged by misbehaving mast cells as in Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). For the questions that you don't know....can you ask Dr Beck to answer them? Some of our questions may stimulate him to investigate further.
I'd really love to hear more from doctors who are using panels. People with his kind of medical background who are using red light panels in their practice. That would mean sooo much to me.
Hi @Alex, Would love an update on the treatment results received by your son. Looking into this same treatment for a family member. Feedback would be appreciated
Hey. Well we’re still seizure free. 18 months now so that’s good. But he is still on his medication. Dr Beck has said that my son’s last few QEEG scans haven’t shown any seizure activity, so that is positive. We’re going to do one more scan and then have a big family holiday then - if all is well after that - we will look at reducing his medication.
from the interview, I understand that laser caps are not good for the head, but Dr. Beck said at the end that DC (LED) was ok? (caps for hair loss at combo 660 and 850 nm s @ either RLT, Breathing or 10HZ or 40HZ pulse mode. thanks for any comment on this
I wondered why using a frequency device on my side gave me such good results with my memory which is in my head. Must be the gut brain connection. After watching this video I may just stop using devices on my head and focus on my right side instead. I no longer have the device I used in the past. But I'm experimenting with red light on the same area of my side to see what effect it may have on my memory.
please review MITO LIGHT BULB 4.0 !!!! what i it good for, how to use. would be really beneficial for people to see bulb comparisons, because for example me, i have a non existent budget right now, but till would be able to get something around a 100 euros, dollars. which usually are the bulbs. could those work as good as a panel just takes way more time? please help us out Alex.
Psalm 139:14 says, "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well". David said that. Today , God gave all this knowledge to the scientists to show then that He exists and show His love and power, but men still don’t listen to Him.. Praise the Lord for His wonderful LOVE!

This is amazing info! I've just been diagnosed with a low grade tectal plate glioma. Inoperable. Incurable accordimg to my oncologists. I am wondering if the laser could potentially help people like me? I keep fainting and my quality of life is declined significantly the last couple of years. I am desperate to find another way to shrink, or preferably get rid of this tumor. I am only 36 years old, so I have a life to live! Any suggestions are welcome!

I will know more in a few months but have read a lot that keto helps control cancer. Dr Thomas Seyfried is an authority on the ketogenic diet for controlling cancer.
I was about to purchase the Shara brain and gut red light. But after watching this should I not?? Or is it just layers that can harm your brain if you have areas that are already excited?
Thank you for such a fascinating interview. I’m very new to the topic and am trying to do my research. I’ve understood the benefits of sauna and infra-red light from Dr Ronda Patrick. Now my hair doctor is recommending I use the Lasercap for my hair loss (im a woman). This interview has me worried. I’m now not clear whether it is a good idea or not. The product says: “The LaserCap HD+ contains only true laser diodes (no LEDs) calibrated to deliver 650nm red light”. Could you comment or make a video on the safety of cap models? Thanks so much.
I have done a few reviews on devices specifically designed for hair loss but I am not familiar with the one you mentioned. I will link those reviews for you. I also suggest joining my Facebook group to ask other members about their experiences. There are many devices specifically designed for the brain/head. Regarding the brain, I would recommend doing your research and, if applicable, consult with your doctor.
Thanks so much for the open and honest video I really appreciate it. I have done a EEG with a specialist. They want to do 10 to 20 sessions with the neuradiant 1070 at 10hz to fix the DMN due to TBI. I can’t afford the sessions but I was thinking of saving up for a Vielight alpha. But after watching this I’m not sure if they’re safe. You have since done recent videos and look to endorse Vielight and Dr Lim who says they are safe. Have you received more info after this video to suggest that Vielights are safe even if they are not targeted like recommended in this video? Hope you’re son is recovering and doing well 💪🏼
How has this interview influenced your approach to the therapies you frequently employ and test, particularly those targeting the jawline, which is in close proximity to the brain? Am I correct in understanding that LED therapy and laser treatment are distinct enough to warrant the latter as a safer option, potentially bypassing the need for extensive checkups? I've been immersing myself in your content lately, and initially, I was set on trying a panel from the Biomax series. However, considering the smaller size and shorter treatment time due to intensity, I'm now torn between that and the Chroma Ironforge. Could you offer some guidance to help me decide?
It seems like they've done a number of successful studies on dementia patients without doing q_eeg. I still have not seen any studies that have been published using quantitative EEG
So no to the Neuronic or Symbyx helmet for Parkinson’s? (Those I believe only target certains areas of brain?) Can you kindly do a video on Red Light Helmets and Parkinsons ??
Hey yes we have. My sone was 1 when they started happening and he had a lot of eating issues as it was (we were just getting over them when the seizures happened) so we have been reluctant to try such a strict diet on a young child. But if he still has them in the future as he gets older then yes we will consider the keto diet.
Your history, his history, who has time for this, as the Dr. said. What can we do NOW to get more healthy. I don't require proof upon proof upon golden PhDs and all kinds of prestigious fluff. Isn't there something to say about clear actionable concise communication?
Not sure what he meant with his last comment about the gut bc of the gut/brain connection. Did he mean that you have to be cautious with the gut as well??? Also what about the sides of the head below the eyes, & what about the Occiput & Occipital Region at the back of the skull?
Yeah I think your last point is on the money. He was just saying how we now know there is such a strong connection between the brain/gut. I don't think he was referring to treatments being different around the gut.
Recent research by Henderson and colleagues shows that red light whether NIR or laser has a limited ability to penetrate the skull with only about 5% getting through. But they also found that applying the light elsewhere, for example on the hand or arm had a measurable effect in the brain on the frontal, occipital and global areas. So far the mechanism is unknown as is whether different wavelengths have different effects though normal 650.850 red/NIR seems to be as effective as 1400 nm laser light. This puts into question whether whole body treatment is necessary or desirable since too much will stimulate cytokines that can lead to auto immune responses. Protons are positive charged ions, in this case hydrogen ions that enter the cell due to the increased Redox potential caused by the production of more negative charges electrons by the chromophore. It is the flow of hydrogen ions into the cell that drives the process that converts ADP back to ATP.
Have you heard about anyone having success with red light therapy for drug recovery? I’m more referring to the resulting damage, over the actual addiction itself. Symptoms like depression, agitation, inability to focus, and perhaps minor nerve damage?
Isn't this just confirming the the need for us all to spend more time outside in sunshine?? The natural healing effect of sunlight radiation. They used this many years ago in the health sanatoriums.
I am thinking depression is in the front of the brain and the area is over stimulated so you would need to stimulate the back of the brain to bring down the over activity in the front. But i dont know.

I am so appreciative of the work you do! I’ve been watching your channel for about 2 years and you present everything with such honesty and integrity. You’re humble and discerning in your approach but also create excitement over the possibilities of such treatments. Thank you, Alex!
Wow, thank you for such a nice comment :) #GoMe and I appreciate the support. I really do.
It would be great for you to do a short follow up video with your thoughts and takeaways from the interview 💪🙏 👍
Hey yeah that is a good idea, I may do this.
And yes, I would’ve fast forwarded to the end to see if there was an actual wrap up but there were so many damn ads that I couldn’t do it. I’m disgusted.
I would love to see a video of your thoughts and takeaways from the interview as well, and if you’ve made some changes to your RLT routine after this!

Thanks for sharing this information, very interesting!
Such a great interview, all the information is fascinating! Would love to see more interviews with renowned scientists like this!
Glad you enjoyed it.
My favourite video so far Alex. Thanks so much. Sending your boy healing thoughts🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed the interview!
Hey, thanks for the kind words! I really do appreciate it :)
Can't wait to hear the product mfgs scramble to respond to Dr Beck's findings and recent research (despite the mfgs non-commitment by using words like "may", "might", "could", etc).
i have to watch it back to back couple of times. need to retain all that was said.
Here's a recent article on eye health from my website www.lighttherapyinsiders.com/red-light-therapy-for-eye-health/
As far as brain health, there are many devices on the market designed specifically for brain health.
Thanks
Yeah it's a good question and something I will have to clarify with him.
Yes. I purchased a Neuro gamma 4 for my husband who was just diagnosed with dementia and has the E4 gene. He will be starting this in a few days. I have read reviews, and they seem to mostly be positive results. Hoping it will all be okay.
@@lindamcmaster6024 any good results yet?
We purchased the earlier model of Neuro Alpha (2017) for my husband who has vascular dementia and extreme anxiety. He used it faithfully for several years and he didnt have good results, although he did have a fuller head of hair.
Has this been clarified already?@@LightTherapyInsiders
Uh oh…😅
Have you checked out the Bredesen Protocol?
Very interesting conversation. I love where this is all going, tying different areas of research together. I look forward to more on this subject.
yes me too!
Fantastic interview, it confirms my understanding.
I'm glad you liked the interview! I have many interviews you may find interesting listed under the podcast section of RUclips.
Thanks Alex, I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
Yes I felt the same!!
Thank you, I watched that interview with great interest also. Keep up the good work 👍
Hey how do you like your panel?

Excellent bryan phd neuroimmilogy certified. Light therapist
Valuable info spanning basic info about nerves and current application of laser/redlight therapy for therapeutic effect. Important to understand targeted use of lasers and physiology and how that is different from LED red light, 600-1100nm.
Thank both for this interview!
Glad you enjoyed the video!

Please continue to offer such content. Was wonderful to hear Dr. Beck's insights. However, I'm concerned about using red light therapy from the eyes, upward, given what Dr. Beck reported. Can you continue to investigate this dilemma? Thanks.
Hey yes I will be sure to ask others who specialise in using PBM on the brain when the occasion arises.

My son has had a normal EEG for 24 years and seizures that Dr's have never really seen before. Haha thanks
Am I getting this right, that laser is bad for above eyes but leds are ok?
Also: I cant find any evidence, that red light Therapy is bad if used above the brain? (No peer reviewed stuff on pubmed
)
Man thanks alot for your reply! Really appreciat all that information your giving out for free!
But apart from specific lasers can we use LED Redlight light and the said wavelengths and NIR on the head ?. Many people use these for hair regrowth, sleep and not wear goggles and have done for years which goes against what this video is saying.
Same question: what is the guidance on hair regrowth light therapy helmets?
I've been doing Redlight and NIR on my crown for my hair and now feel like I could have potentially damaged the brain. This contradicts so many so called professionals even established companies selling these products opinions for years, saying it's good for not only skin and muscle but brain health, hair regrowth and eyes. I'm a bit worried that Hooga even states you don't have to wear goggles ?.
Exactly@@jayedwardsuk5984 -- this interview appears to say that people should not use it on their head hair, face, or anywhere above the eyes as a precaution since we do not know the effects.

Yeah agreed. I'll paste my detailed response to this question below.

The takeaway is basically get morning sun. A lot of our issues are caused by lack of real sunshine and the blue frequencies that typical LED lights put out, especially at night.
I was surprised they weren't talking about limiting Feeding the tumors By going with Ketogenic Therapy Combined with All the other things about Proper vitamins and hormones Levels You Have a team As opposed to Just one player
Fascinating!
I agree!!
This is a great interview. So valuable!
Glad you like it!
I guess I’m going to have to change the way I use my MitoPro 1500 panel. I always had light on my eyes, forehead, and the top of my head. If I understand him correctly I need to keep the light below my eyes. Did I get that right?
Same here, I will use it only on areas below my eyes from now on
@@mammajamma8 But what about the tens of thousands of panels and masks people have paid for and bought based on recommendations like this channel. I've only just purchased my Hooga300pro based on Alex's recommendation and made said it was for face, sleep and cognitive function. Hooga also states you do not need to wear goggles. Ive also got the Celluma panel which was over priced and I remember them saying the closer the LEDs to the face the better, I used it so close to my face and head for my hair for years ...
But why?!
@@lukeaesth7 The doctor did not recommend having the red light on the forehead area. When he and Alex are discussing the use of red light helmets and the new devices that have red light aimed on the forehead and up the nasal cavity is when he brings up the idea of avoiding the area of the eyes and above
I'm going to paste my response to a similar question as I think it will add some extra insight here:
I am not aware of any changes in
my brain function apart from maybe a deterioration in memory, but I'm 48, so this could just be old age? Do I need to go see a doctor?? I would really appreciate your reply. Thank you.
Hey, wow that is quite a rapid healing process!
I'm not expert when it comes to the brain and I have to admit I was surprised by these comments by Dr Beck. I can see why he made them though, especially with my sons brain condition in mind. BUT at the same time, I and thousands (even 10,000s') of people have been using RLT on their face, eyes, head etc for years and I haven't heard of negative impacts. IF you did have an underlying brain disorder or an imbalance though you could do some harm.
Thank you for responding. I really appreciate it!
Alex, thank you for such a wonderful interview. Dr Beck and psychiatrist, Dr Daniel Amen,MD should be collaborating. Dr. Amen, the first psychiatrist to image the brain structure for a more accurate diagnosis.
You're welcome! Great idea, too!
Extremely interesting.
🙏
Very!
I sure will!
I'd really love to hear more from doctors who are using panels. People with his kind of medical background who are using red light panels in their practice. That would mean sooo much to me.
I agree, working on it!
Thank you so much. These are less harsh medical treatments technology.
You're Welcome!
Hi @Alex,
Would love an update on the treatment results received by your son.
(caps for hair loss at combo 660 and 850 nm s @ either RLT, Breathing or 10HZ or 40HZ pulse mode. thanks for any comment on this
We'll do more testing but check the SunPowerLED video here if you want more info:

I wondered why using a frequency device on my side gave me such good results with my memory which is in my head. Must be the gut brain connection. After watching this video I may just stop using devices on my head and focus on my right side instead. I no longer have the device I used in the past. But I'm experimenting with red light on the same area of my side to see what effect it may have on my memory.
Let me know how you get on!
Why the right side specifically? Why not the left or front of the belly?
please review MITO LIGHT BULB 4.0 !!!! what i it good for, how to use. would be really beneficial for people to see bulb comparisons, because for example me, i have a non existent budget right now, but till would be able to get something around a 100 euros, dollars. which usually are the bulbs. could those work as good as a panel just takes way more time? please help us out Alex.
Yeah I'll try do this in 2024!
Alex, I believe you've heard of ketogenic diet and it's affect on seizures. Dr Thomas Seyfried's. Good luck with your son.
Thank You.
I just bought a red light for wrinkles and I'm nervous about it being near my eyes, is this safe?
Working on more extensive research in regards to RLT and eye. If your nervous, wear goggles.
Great information, mus clean it up with a good exitor
Glad you liked the video!
Great video
Thanks!
Great interview! Who was the quantum physicist that Dr Beck mentioned?
He didn't say.
Fantastic information!!! I’m going to need to replay several times to soak this in.
Question: Are Avologi ENEO TOTALÉ lasers strong enough for home therapy? 450nm
I don't know about that product because I've not tested it...
I'm wondering if you have checked the connection between epilepsy and gut microbiota. There are many recent studies showing that connection exists between changing microbiota changes and epilepsy.
I haven't! Thanks for suggesting.
@@LightTherapyInsiders my wife recently started having seizures, so we are checking everything. One particular bacteria species is remarkable for balancing microbiota - bacillus subtilis. We make yogurt from MegaSporebiotic capsules which has subtitles and a couple of other species at 110 F and hope it will fix the microbiota imbalance. Thanks for your great work 👍
Alex, good save on that "when was the last time you thought about the person you kissed"...wives are always watching
LOL!
I am so sorry to hear this. Perhaps you can contact Dr. Beck's office to see if they can recommend someone in your area who might be able to help you.
Investigate the ketogenic diet. It supposedly helps to shrink tumors. I have stage 4 metastatic GIST cancer and am being treated with the standard of care medicine but am also following the ketogenic diet. I will know more in a few months but have read a lot that keto helps control cancer. Dr Thomas Seyfried is an authority on the ketogenic diet for controlling cancer.
Thanks❤️ for your son, what was the result with the ketosis diet? 🙏
My son is doing great. Honestly, I really have no way of knowing what helped him specifically.
Alex did you ever find out the safety of red light panels above the eyes from Dr. Beck?
I was about to purchase the Shara brain and gut red light. But after watching this should I not?? Or is it just layers that can harm your brain if you have areas that are already excited?
I can't tell as I've not tested that product yet, so I can't say whether it's good. If you want to treat brain conditions, talk to your doctor though!

Thanks for watching!
So we should not keep red light therapy panel for head ?
There are many devices specifically designed for the brain/head. Regarding the brain, I would recommend doing your research and, if applicable, consult with your doctor.
What conference did Dr.Beck speak at on stem cells?
Sorry I'm not too sure. Maybe check his bio or reach out to him?
Thanks so much for the open and honest video I really appreciate it.
I have done a EEG with a specialist. They want to do 10 to 20 sessions with the neuradiant 1070 at 10hz to fix the DMN due to TBI. I can’t afford the sessions but I was thinking of saving up for a Vielight alpha. But after watching this I’m not sure if they’re safe. You have since done recent videos and look to endorse Vielight and Dr Lim who says they are safe. Have you received more info after this video to suggest that Vielights are safe even if they are not targeted like recommended in this video?
Hope you’re son is recovering and doing well 💪🏼
I am using a Vielight and believe it is safe. Have you seen this video:ruclips.net/video/mDGHxr2T294/видео.htmlsi=-A47tUcEzOmwPaok
You're the youtube leader on this. Keep it up ..all from a sensitive tooth! 🦜
Thanks! But yes it’s amazing how this journey has developed
Classic Hormesis! Fascinating……..
It seems like they've done a number of successful studies on dementia patients without doing q_eeg. I still have not seen any studies that have been published using quantitative EEG
I haven't looked recently, but thanks for letting us know there are no studies.
I’m using a red light helmet for Parkinson’s!!😮
So no to the Neuronic or Symbyx helmet for Parkinson’s? (Those I believe only target certains areas of brain?)
Can you kindly do a video on Red Light Helmets and Parkinsons ??
Both of those products are backed by many studies. This video is Dr Becks's findings.
I’m sure you’ve probably already heard of the ketogenic diet for seizures.
Hey yes we have. My sone was 1 when they started happening and he had a lot of eating issues as it was (we were just getting over them when the seizures happened) so we have been reluctant to try such a strict diet on a young child. But if he still has them in the future as he gets older then yes we will consider the keto diet.
So if you have major depression where should the brain be stimulted with near infrared light?
Oh I would not be guessing whern it comes to this sort of stuff! Speak to a pro.
Great !
Glad you enjoyed!
This interview needs significantbediting
I am sorry, but I do not understand your comment.
I think this video was perfect. The only thing it needed was another two hours of discussion. Please have Dr Beck on again.
Awesome
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your history, his history, who has time for this, as the Dr. said. What can we do NOW to get more healthy. I don't require proof upon proof upon golden PhDs and all kinds of prestigious fluff.
Isn't there something to say about clear actionable concise communication?
This video was a year ago.
How is your son doing?
He is doing great. Lots of changes in the last year. Thank You for asking.
What about a normal
Spect but autoimmune encephalitis?
Hey sorry this is way over my head? Maybe reach out to the IFN clinic directly about this?
Not sure what he meant with his last comment about the gut bc of the gut/brain connection. Did he mean that you have to be cautious with the gut as well??? Also what about the sides of the head below the eyes, & what about the Occiput & Occipital Region at the back of the skull?
I answered my own question with a little anatomy refresher. lol
And assuming it’s safe to work on the gut with the added benefit of affecting the brain indirectly
Hey. Interesting! Thanks for sharing this.
It’s amazing how much people will pay for light when they can get it free
Many people in today's modern world can't get outside enough to take advantage of the benefits of the sun.
@@LightTherapyInsiders interesting time we live in
Have you heard about anyone having success with red light therapy for drug recovery? I’m more referring to the resulting damage, over the actual addiction itself. Symptoms like depression, agitation, inability to focus, and perhaps minor nerve damage?
No I haven't but you could ask in our FB group - facebook.com/groups/lighttherapyinsiders
Isn't this just confirming the the need for us all to spend more time outside in sunshine?? The natural healing effect of sunlight radiation. They used this many years ago in the health sanatoriums.
Yes, the sun is responsible for natural healing. Sadly, between life, work, and family, most of us cannot spend as much time outdoors as needed.
I am thinking depression is in the front of the brain and the area is over stimulated so you would need to stimulate the back of the brain to bring down the over activity in the front. But i dont know.
Oh I would not be guessing whern it comes to this sort of stuff! Speak to a pro.
