I started using Joovv red light therapy for collagen and found out these things accidentally! I had extensive dental work done and the red light therapy helped it, it opens my sinuses, has removed skin tags, flattened some of my fatty tumors, and improved my skin tone! I have problems sleeping and depression and both have improved! I think red light therapy is wonderful!!

My mom had knee replacement therapy at age 78 a few weeks ago. I took my red light to her house and we used in morning and night on the that leg and incision site. It seemed she healed so quickly and was walking without a walker or cane within a couple weeks. She developed some pain and bruising a few days after surgery on her calf. We put the light on her calf and the bruising resolved quickly. Her PT keeps saying she is way ahead on Therapy schedule of what he expected. One month later and she is walking through Walmart and running all her own errands. Antidotal evidence but we both believe the light helped.

Red light therapy or infra red light therapy is not new at all. It has been around as a therapeutic tool since, and probably earlier than the early 1960's. I remember my mother using an infra red lamp for her sinusitis back in 1964, and also for her frozen shoulder. I also used it for sinus congestion in the mid 1960's when I was a teen. In fact I still have my mothers infra red lamp (the very same one) with its big broad screw in bulb and it still works. I will begin to use it again to help me with my insomnia now that I am entering my eighth decade.

I initially wasn’t doing mine for improved sleep but for skin benefits. I was using my face and neck one randomly - not every day, sometimes morning, sometimes evening, and along the way I noticed I was getting sleepy and tired at the appropriate time in the evening and began to sleep so good! It didn’t coincide with doing it before sleep at night. Actually I’d say I do mine mostly in the morning. I do it for 10 min. So for me, no set routine at all. I continue to be amazed at this unexpected benefit I didn’t even know would happen, since I bought mine for cosmetic reasons. Now I could care less about that, if it helps me sleep (a bona fide insomniac for years) that’s so much more important to me. Because of this I started to be more curious about this red light thing and started looking into it more and discovered yes indeed, it helps sleep, not a coincidence. A side note, mine isn’t a Joov. I’m sure it’s a great product but this is my true experience and not affiliated with Joov at all.

Placed towel and roll the light belt around the towel. Or, lay flat. Wires are fragile in those devices, so you shouldn’t fold or bend sharply. I got a used well known light in Ebay. Last century I had red light therapy , from a physiotherapist . It helped a little , then a person came to town with a "Bioptron" light system , which with 3 treatments , had a noticeable effect on myself - the benifits continue , after 10 years .
Sunlight , when it's out , I'm in it , longer than any of the people I know , as initially , the red wavelengths can be felt , after 5 mins , nothing is felt , due to nerve damage . The sunlight , helps relieve a lot of the discomfort that comes with Neuropathy - a dis-eased for which there is no cure , just the potential of a legal drug habit on opiates , which I'd rather avoid , along with any other Pharmaceutical drugs , which for myself , have serious adverse reactions .
    Namaste 🙏

Two quick questions. 1. Should the light be touching or as close to possible to the skin or area of need? I read the further away you are, the longer it'll take to see results. 2. Does red light therapy replace icing a sore knee? After a good lower body workout, my knees are sore. No injuries....just old knees from early years of being an athlete. I normally ice my knees after. Would you still ice, then use red light therapy or does red light therapy eliminate the need for ice?

      1.
As you take the light further away, lumens/cm^2 of skin decreases....and therefore you would have to apply the light for a longer period to get the same dose as having it closer.
If you are within 5mm of the skin, you will likely feel excessive warming/heating of tissue.
The units used on people's heads have the lights about 0.5-1 cm away from the skin.
These wavelengths of light have been applied to the body for decades in physiotherapy. It was known by its former name Low Level Laser Therapy. The applicators were held against the skin, so the led light source would be around 2-3mm from the skin.
      2.
It is important to remember science is littered with "brand new discoveries that are going to change human history".
They all fade away in time because they never live up to the hype.
This is the same with red light therapy. The scientific name for it used to be LLLT, but because a few scientists thought some people might think it is a weak therapy (due to the word LOW in the name), they pushed for the name to be changed to photobiomodulation. This also helps them market it as a new therapy, and secure more funds for research.
So the point is whatever affect light therapy has, it is not going to be 100% restoring tissue to perfect health.
Anyone who believes this is scientifically illiterate, and a shyster.
i.e. do you think applying red light a few times a day means you can go eat fast food 7 days a week, and not gain weight or get unhealthy, or counter the lack of nutrients in your diet?
Good health is dependent on living a healthy lifestyle - hydration, nutrition, sleep, stress mgt, healthy levels of social support and love, meaning, life direction, clear ethics that provide a survival advantage.
Healing requires measured amounts of rest and rehab (progressive exercise, massage, joint manual therapies), and sometimes reducing Calorie intake.
The people who live longest in the world do not use red light therapy. But they do tend to spend more time outdoors.
Focus more on the choices that have a greater affect on your health and healing, and less on therapies that your ancestors and centenarians never used.

I would still ice your knees to get immediate relief from swelling. Do red light treatments on your knees when they aren't swollen and stressed. You may find that over time you need to ice those knees after a workout less. Icing works. It just doesn't feel that good. I had to ice my knee a LOT in addition to physical therapy when I had a knee replacement for a knee that was severely damaged.

Let’s be honest-fitting red light therapy into a daily routine isn’t the easiest thing. But for the sake of science (and my stubborn headache), I decided to give it a try with the FF 1000 from Future Form Official. And to my surprise-it actually worked!
After three years of battling the same persistent headache, just a few weeks of consistent red light sessions finally brought relief. My original goal was to improve brain health and cognitive function, dedicating 20 minutes each day to my face, neck, and chest.
An unexpected perk? My skin is glowing like never before. Not only did the red light ease my headaches, but it also reduced redness and gave my complexion a smoother, more radiant appearance.
Committing to this every day isn’t exactly easy, but with clearer skin, a clearer mind, and these impressive results, I have to admit-it’s worth the effort. If you’re ready to make it part of your routine, you’ll definitely see the difference.

Apparently it passes through lite clothing, hair, and thin bone such as the skull, to then penetrate several centimeters into brain tissue. There is research about it increasing melatonin in mitochondria, that works with glutathione there. They both are major antioxidants that are necessary to clean up excess ROS byproducts in ATP energy production, so mitochondrial function that is less than optimum for many possible metabolic reasons can be helped to function more effectively. MedCram medical education has some very good YT videos to clarify some of the state of the research.

Hey...have been study coordinator with studies by both of those companies/ sponsors, Medtronic and Boston Scientific. Several actually. There is a salon that has a Angel Beauty stand up unit and I'm curious about the potential benefits, BUT, lol..1) what a out if a client has an unknown malignancy or blood clot. Given how this works on a cellular level (does it speed up cancer cell proliferation, as it does with mitochondrial activity, collagen production and other things) and with increased blood flow as a result of that chain reaction how might that interact with blood clots?...if a person is unaware of these issues and goes in...it just concerns me. 2) The bulbs in the machine look strange to me. They don't look like the smaller LED lights, but long tubular bulbs that also make me nervous because they look so much like tanning bed bulbs. I know they aren't and they give off a different type of light wave, but something about it just instinctively looks iffy to me personally. I got joked with about have I ever watched Final Destination 3 and I haven't, but assume I don't want to see whatever it is the people are reffing to either...I dont like tanning beds. They seem so harmful to me so anything that looks like tgen with those long sleek balloon bulbs freaks me out. I understand that the Joovv company is not the same company that makes Beauty Angel, so not sure of the difference in safety and quality. O like the idea of all the amazing benefits with full body delivery, but it also just makes me a bit nervous...any truly knowledgable and founded info/ data would be welcomed. I have read the NASA study information in relation to known ca/ malignancy reactivity of mice. I scientifically understand how it works on a cellular level and can see how many health and there for beauty benefits can occur...but are all commercial body treatment machines created equal or safe. Is there room in the market or other regulated oversight for potentially harmful machines to be churned out and sold? Oh..and ❤ "Doc" Brown ❤, loved his character so much, and it's not like he and Marty are similar to Rick and Morty at all or anything 🤣🤣🤣. Would be so great if it could successfully be applied Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. I also deal with SAD...live in a usually warm and sunny place, but still it changes, as it did when I lived up North where I grew up. I live winter sports up there and am constantly outside here, where I live now, but there is still a shift in mood and energy for me that hits in October, but then comes and goes over the winter months, which can be greatly distracted by the fun of the holidays 🎃🦃🎅🎆!!!...but can still suck some days, sometimes days in a row, when it's just all grey and blah and yuck😒.

Good points about the cancer cell proliferation and blood clots.
Often times cancer cells suffer under such hormetic stress, think of fasting, ketosis, heliotherapy, sauna therapy etc. Most of these therapies are actually anti cancer because normal cells can withstand the stress but a cancer cell cannot. But I am not sure how this works with Red light therapy as I'm completely new to this as well. Ordered my device, should come tomorrow! I'm thrilled to see what it will bring.

    • @tanyawales9353
      @tanyawales9353 Год назад

For SAD get a light box and get at least 20 minutes a day in front of it. They cost $50 - $70. I got one for my sister who has SAD due to being at the 45th parallel and it is helping her a lot with her mood and sleep quality.
I would worry more about UV light from the sun because that is linked to skin cancer if you get so much that you actually get a sunburn.
The biggest danger is from a deficiency of Vitamins D3 - Vitamin K2 MK-7 and Vitamin A. 50% - 70% of Americans are deficient in these vitamins and a lack of Vitamin D3 IS linked to cancer, osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes. Every American should get a simple blood test periodically to check their Vitamin D3 level. As a group Americans do not get enough sun to create the "sunshine" vitamins especially people of color. A low Vitamin D3 level can also be a sign of chronic kidney disease and that can end up killing you or making your food choices very, very limited.
Red IR - Far IR - Amber light is healing. Red light doesn't penetrate more than a 1.5 in (3 cm) into the body and encourages mitochondrial activity. Mitochondria provide energy for your cells. Then there is Far IR light and amber light to consider. Amber light is good for your skin appearance. Just follow the light instructions regarding exposure and how far it should be from your body.
