You prolly dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf recently =)
Oh My...!!! Not even the same car.! Got to get it out somewhere to really open it up.! Can't believe it's doing a wheelie.. LOL Well done.! Can't wait for the next run.!
Very cool. This car seems like it’s a slash chassis. We have a easy tip video on gear meshing. It’s to bad Traxxas doesn’t just offer a brushless model. Thanks for sharing my friend. 👍😁
When I did my upgrade I also replace the clutch/gear (15T pinion) assembly. In the directions it states using a piece of regular copy paper between the gear teeth for spacing. Cut a small piece the width of the gears, with your thumb on the spur gear, rotate and draw the piece of paper between the two gears, tighten the motor mount screw, and back off on the spur to remove the piece of paper.
just bought this car with that same setup from someone comin in the mail and maaaan i cant wait! without that 32 tooth though pretty sure it has the stock 48
My local hobby shop is like the other one you mentioned where they didn’t say anything to the customer about it. My local shop owner is very greedy and will never ever recommend anything that will lose him money. He’s even tried to recommend going routes that I know for sure would mess up my rc. (Such as gearing tips etc.)
What’s the exactly setup here? I do have the stock setup. Changed the esc/motor and put on a 18t pinion. What kind of spur do I need? At the moment I use the stock one (83 is it?). What about the driveshaft? Need to be changed? In other words; what do I need to buy to get it perfect?
Hi Tom I don't have this car anymore, sold it and regretted it ever since on all of the videos where I did a mod I listed it in the video, so all the mods are out there just not in one place! Sorry!
Driftomaniacs The deal is that you tried several options and the motor got overheated before you changed to velenion. But as far as I can see you got the stock spur in it, and use a 18t pinion with the velenion motor. In the first movie you tried 18t but it didn’t fit with the 73 spur, so I believe that’s it. If you suddenly remember what the setup is, plz let me know

@Malcolm Joseph yup, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself :D
Great Video! The rally is so much fun, I wish there where more bodies, and upgrades for it.
I want one! I’ve been looking for a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 but this satisfies.
That's good to know about the power up discount, thanks

I normally use the paper method but my fingers are way too small to get the paper in there!

That’s going to be a treat to drive! Nice work sir, solid info and entertainment!
It's good that your saving money for us Rich, great upgrades ,great build, it runs sweet 👍😁👍 a great video, thanks for sharing mate 👍😁👍
I think it’ll be a lot better now 💪🏻
It's very good!!!! So fast~!!👍😁👍
I'd like to see a 2s 5a lipo in there for racing on a tight dirt track.
Awesome man, Brushless is too much fun.
What servo are you using with the upgrade?
Thanks I’m ready for that
I had this exact Traxxas Rally but sold it a while ago now I have a slash and a rustler both 2wd vxl
Nice rc brother 😎✊
Does that “power up” program still apply today, or have they done away with it?

Did you also upgrade to m 0.8 or did you use the stock spur?
Do a Speedrun in high-speed-gearing pls.
You think this body will fit my 2wd Traxxas slash vxl?
I think it might do but check wheelbase on traxxas site to be sure
Castle sidewinder and motor. Rally is lightning fast. 3s lipo
I would keep my brushed system for a Tamiya build like a lunchbox or Wild Willy and then buy a Hobbywing system for $60 or an OCDAY system for $35
You need the paper work out of the black and white Manual it’s in the back
how fast is this set up?

@@t.aivers9489 what did you end up running I upgraded to the vxl3s but I’m having trouble finding a good combination of spur gear
Really want to do this to me on
Not supposed to change the pinion for a 32pitch one ? It's written in the manuel to ditch the 48P for 32P if brushless...
Funnily enough I have 2 mins ago just fitted a 32P centre diff and pinion. I didn't know it was in the manual though! Thanks for the info.
Did you have any problems with the stock drivetrain with all that power?
No it handles it well
@@DriftomaniacsRC cool thanks saw other videos where it twisted stuff on 3s were you running 2s?
