You forgot to mention that the small VDV truck and the Sprut tank can be PARADROPPED, so you can mix them in the plane to paradrop them into backlines! Also the Mi-26 can carry a sprut too
I didn't so much forget as more... did not want to push the point. I pointed out something else can be dropped if it has the parachute symbol. But telling all the brand new players to the game who have zero experience with this type of game/war games to put all their units in a transport sounds like a good way to get them upset they just lost all their units in a transport plane ;) The same reason I didn't go out of my way to talk about the M60 in the USA deck, because its terrible compared to the other tanks and new players would be unsure how to use it.
If i'm not mistaken, the BMD-4 has a bastion ATGM on the 100mm cannon, which does a lot of dmg to tanks, more than the ATGM on the BMD-2 (Recon tab, 3:00)
You are correct it does have a 750mm pen ATGM missile option in the cannon, I did miss mentioning that. Though for brand new players I still wouldn't recommend engaging tanks with the BMD4 it as the range is only 1500m and most tanks range is 1400 or 1500 with their own missiles. The kornet option on the BMD2 has 1200mm pen and 1600m range so it does outrange all tanks I think? Even ones with missiles and should do more damage.
I've been having a ton of fun with Broken Arrow! I just tested out an (almost) all-VDV-units deck and had a crazy game full of paradrops and Su-25 strafing runs. Something I'd point out about Russian units - if you engage non-recon units with their silenced recon infantry, you can often shoot them without being seen at all, especially if you just use their sniper rifle. Really really nasty, you can be very aggressive with them. And the VDV units have somewhat better armor and weapons than their other infantry, they punch above their weight against other infantry even with their smaller squad sizes. I dropped in six VDV Dshs to attack a building with two full marine squads in it, 30 men vs 26, I was expecting a somewhat even fight but they melted to their combined grenade launcher fire almost instantly. We won but my K/D looked terrible because I was using so many cheap units.
Not a fan of a lot of the upgraded apcs. Either they have no armor or they have tons of armor and tiny weapons while costing as much as a full sized tank and costing likely 325 points or more if you include the price of the infantry. Smoke will protect assaulting troops just fine. You dont need to pay a fortune to make it survivable and can have a lot of infantry for the same price on a cheaper taxi...
I suspect they will get them in the final game when all the other units are in. It's only 2 specialisations worth of units currently (and even then I think some were still to be added).
They needed a game. I think it's cool to play with all this kit Russia will never be able to produce cuz you've gotta admit, it looks great on paper and on parade. 😅
I disagree with wanting to keep IFVs at max range vs tanks. At very close range, the autocannons will shred tanks. 67% penetration even with a 25mm cannon is vicious, so either have autocannons vs tanks at 10m or at the max range of their missile.

Didn't know that thx

I like the quality of the video. Russia doesn't have ground fired ballistic missiles? I hope to see Iskander or something

I like how russia has concept vehicles to counter the us ones lol

So what shoots the ballistic missiles that the patriot shoots down?
Nothing in the Russian deck currently, other than jets.
You mainly see it happening from a patriot when its a USA vs USA game.
@@Bandanner k thanks for the info
The Barbaris is just a stat stick
SUPER valuable video for a noob like myself once again 🫡
