I'm the dev of Shashingo and honestly seeing Connor play my game on stream was a dream come true. Thank you so much for your support!! 🙏
Your game is a really fun way to learn and improve my Japanese. Thank you for developing it!
I went to the comments to look for the name of the game, It looks fun
It's really intuitive and it looks fun, like a preview of landmarks in Japan while learning Japanese
You came up with a great idea, man!
This game looks so run i need to get it
*Title* : Modern Art is a Ripoff
*Video content* : Connor talking about his life in japan and reminiscing about his life choices.
Game is much more interesting than the modern art stuff
@@JeskidoYTHe talks about his life in japan for most of the video
@@PoemthefifthofcoolYeah, but people more likely click on the video about clowning on modern art rather on some dude just talking about his life.
also a let's play and a q&a and anything but discussing modern art
Exactly :0 Aslo, there's some incredible artists in the modern scene as well come on
Connor without beard look like a baby, i can't stop staring at him. He look reverted to his Sebastian Era 😂😂😂
He does look like a baby. I mean, I look at him and see a kid (I'm 50), but the lack of a beard just makes it more obvious.
Just in time for the new season of Black Butler
that's what I thought too he has such a baby face
Every time this guy shaves there's always this comment on every video 😅 get original man
i love how connor doesnt give a single fuck bout the twitter haters and just says what he wants. definitely my fav content creator rn
It's amazing to see how he has grown. I started watching him when he started with trash taste and seeing him find himself in those years is sick
Twitter hate????? what happened
@@Tafrara-idir that's the nature of that platform nowadays.
Damn idk what they even sayin ova’ dere
Well. He IS british. 😌
First time I ever went to Japan, this lovely old Japanese man wanted to practice his English with me. I tried my best to explain that I was very new to Japanese and I was so shit at speaking it, but he was so kind and so polite and even though I knew I was terrible at speaking, he still said I did very well (sugoi, etc) So yeah, never be afraid to speak Japanese with native Japanese people, they love you for even trying
Agreed. Went to a "modern art" exhibition in L.A. and someone threw feathers and oil onto a wooden pallet and called it "art". I just left and got a double double over at In N Out......that is art my friends.
wth? and how much did they asked/priced for that?
@@livinghuman2085 I'll be honest, the whole exhibition was literal garbage. I didn't even look at the prices but if you were asking about the In N Out Double Double it was $3.95 ;)
@@eunhyuekpark6159 That's actually not even the worst modern art thing I've heard of. If you want to, google for merda d'artista. And yes, holy sh** indeed.
@@eunhyuekpark6159 Ik it was prolly shit since ur saying that, but did u at least remember any other "art" expect feather n oil one?
Well you certainly had a reaction to it
my English teacher described going to an art show where he and a colleague saw a lot of bizarre art that confused them; they even mistook a half-eaten burrito sitting on a stool as one of the pieces
when the owner came back and began to finish the burrito, his colleague joked that it had become "performance art"
I mean I heard about an artist who did an exhibition where he... uhm, "enjoyed himself" so it's not improbable
I'm like 50% sure half of these artworks are for money laundering.
And could easily get them sued for copyright infringement.
It's probably a lot more than 50%... or just purely stupid demonstrations of wealth. Think of the Rockefellers filling up the Museum of Modern Art. Genuine artists always get caught in the middle of all this, throughout history. 🙃
You'd be 50% closer to the truth.
If you wanted a status symbol, literally buy a big chungus block of marble and hire a professional to sculpt a design for you. I've checked btw, you'd save money. Labour and skill are in high demand here, and it's still cheaper than the 4k Google image.
"it's like if someone made nfts real" is hilarious the more you think about it
It's wild seeing people I know work for weeks on intricate sculptures and be told by their professors their art is mid and no one would ever pay for it, then seeing this stuff go for 40k.
As an artist, it fucking breaks my heart.
As a starving artist, it warms my heart to see Connor shit on the modern art that is bedazzling or photoshopping something.
1. Thanks for explaining the ads purpose on twitch (new user who joined during the cyclethon). 2. Thank you for being a wholesome and chill human being. Just Chatting streams are always dope
i loooove the artist thumbnails, it’s like your trade mark now, idk why this hasn’t becomes a trend yet, it makes me wanna click on the video every time
Beardless Connor (or close to it) is absolutely haunting to behold
I had to do a double take after I clicked on the video lmao
Ain't no way modern art isn't a laundering scheme
It is, at least a lot of it is
Which makes the whole NFT thing hilarious, because it's techbros trying to have their own laundering scheme but no one is willing to be the one buying
Unfortunately a lot of it is and the worst part is when you see paintings selling for hundreds of millions of dollars the artist doesn't see a dime because it has been bought and sold out of their ownership a long time ago
boi is this gonna be controversial
edit: i take that back its actually trash
how, this objectively sucks so much
Abrakheim believes modern art is a bunch of dogshit.
btw I saw that golden Mickey Mouse here in a mall, not gonna lie I almost puked out of disgust when I saw it
@@agamaz5650thats the only valid reaction ngl
Title had me im the first half ngl
Papa meat 😭
Ha lol was just watching his new vids
Came from that video too!
@helpless__potato0619 nice pfp
Alice in Chains?
my bro thought we wouldn't notice the p5 soundtrack on 6:40 🔥🔥
no beard catched me off guard. _again_
Caught, not "catched." 😛
This video is 10% what the title is about and 90% straight up yapping. I love it, keep em coming!
For those still looking: the "learning Japanese game" Connor is playing, is called _Shashingo_ .
Joey stole all his facial hair power, fight for our Lord of the land 🦍
Oug🦍Oug🦍
Oug🦍Oug🦍
Omg the persona background music is throwing me off 😂😂 "where have you been???" ❤❤❤
Who the hell would put an AK in resin when you can just hang it up like a normal gun? Even if it’s fake I’d prefer to leave it as is and not dunk it in a massive block of resin.
Im 30 and have had my sandwich shop for 10 years now. That feeling of doing the same thing for a decade is a strange one for sure, but also its such an amazing accomplishment! The joys of being both a veteran of a field, but also having so much time to still improve and fine tune. Looking forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the years to come.
literally just watched a PapaMeat video about modern art what a nice coincidence

@@maxiflux9856 Right on brother
Growing up my parent often had wine with dinner. My sister and I were served in a sherry glass, from the time we were 7 or 8. When we reached legal drinking age neither of us were too fussed, while other kids went nuts. Now I don't drink at all, I haven't had a single drink in 10 years or so.
Kinda funny how Connor said that he learnt Japanese the unorthodox way, just through conversations, when thats actually how almost all of Japanese speakers (or any language that isnt English or maybe French) learnt the language.
Pretty much. You can cram vocab quickly with study but the only way to get input and output is to converse. And children can talk well enough, before they're even able to read
@@Draconic74 i guess thats true, but what i meant is that the way you learn your mother language is mostly through conversation.
How would French or English be any different?
@@hey_bebop I thought they were the 2 most common 2nd languages in the world and more people learned those languages through schooling instead of from their parents. I just looked it up and French is 4th after Hindi and Mandarin. Nevertheless, French is often regarded as the next international Language after English, thats why i thought of it.
13:38 Tobacco leaf's are sort of like a herb like they don't taste bad they taste like herb's but cigs do taste bad bc its tastes pretty much like smoke with little herb taste
I call this piece: Give me £1000000000000
Persona 5 BGM goes hard
Would love to hear Connor talk more about social interaction. I am extremely terrible at it and i think his short advices already pointed at some of the problems i have 😂 i am a completely odd person. I just always see people looking at me and thinking what is this lady talking about. Unfortunately i can't go to bars to practice anymore being a mom 😅
Gotta Love the energy at 00:53 from Connor (on his watch).
After the recent TT episode, hearing Connor say vibe make me chuckles and some flashbacks lmao
The connordawg thumbnails or genuinely some of the best on YT
I'm halfway through this video, and this is by far my favourite video you have done, if you could do more like this, then that would be just Lovely.
(Because you cant communicate tone through text, hes already my comforttuber, and this videos' style is just amazing)
This art is the epitome of, " _Yeah I'm a 15 year old boy and this goes hard. Shit is lit_ " Lol
Also at like the 6:00 minute mark I was confused I thought my wall paper engine music was playing in the background but he just used beneath the mask song. Lol
I like this format, very comfy :3
Modern art is probably the art form that gets most clowned on. And tbh I see why 💀
Look... well.... ok nvm
@@johnrivers3813 I mean I get that not all modern art is like this. But the vast majority is?
Hey Connor from Ned in Spain. First of all congratulations on the cyclethon and the million plus. The art(?) that you're scarring your eyeballs with is not only in the Netherlands but here in Spain as well. There are many galleries aka trash dumps that carry this slop and we can't believe some people are stupid enough to pay tens of thousands for these nightmarish pop culture mash ups.
I must be honest and Wow the thumbnail goes hard
Connor smoking with that kind of emotion hits you in the heart
U truely made my last 5d~. Im sick at home and couldnt really enjoy much in the time, now just watching first 30 secs and I couldnt resist laughing finally at smth
Yeah i really love the voice over videos. They add so much to your videos!
I never find time to watch Connor's just chatting streams, only like clips of it. So its nice that its uploaded on this channel. Please continue doing this.
Connor's little brother is so good at streaming.
I love the vibe of these streams
What you talked about regarding societal anxiety I think ties into what you said about Pete. We learn to be better social beings and it’s a lot easier to press into having fun with people, unlike when we were younger and still felt so pressured to be a certain way. I’m 33 and I feel like I’m able to talk to pretty much anyone.
Didn’t expect Connor to talk about casual stuff when I clicked on this video but boy I loved it
I have worked with clients that want art like this. They seriously whole heartedly like how that stuff looks. I don't understand the life they had to live to get to the point where they can seriously justify spending that kind of money on art that looks like that and display it proudly.
Haven't really been watching in the past year, but the chill stream has me back.
Hearing Persona 5 in the background brings tears all the time, I love that melody so much
I’m actually going to Japan next year so I should start practicing now. I’ll try out the game for sure
If you can find a polyglot friend with some knowledge of japanese and converse with them for practice, that would be good in the meantime. One I thought of on the spot now tho is when you're home and in your room chilling or smth, to like talk to yourself. If you talk to yourself normally anyway, or have an inner voice to think with, you could say it out loud but instead of in english use japanese words the best you can
Ok, I wasn't ready for Connor to start yapping about his life(in a good way)
The first thing I think of when I see art like this is money laundering.
These types of streams are fun.
Hope to see these more often 🐢
Papa meat and Conner both doing videos on modern art? Oh well I love em both❤
I'd buy a certain monke for $50k...
I appreciate the occasional yapping stream being uploaded here, Connor do be pretty good at it doe! Totally don't feel called out for being 23 and not having it together btw lol
Both Connor and Papa Meat uploading a video on modern art? Been a good Sunday!
I can’t bs not having social anxiety cuz my body just naturally shakes and I start just fiddling around with whatever is near me. Worst part is I won’t notice and the people I’m talking with will & think they’re scaring me or something lol
Wait until Connor sees what they display in modern art museums
Most people here just say 自販機 jihanki for vending machine. It's kind of like saying ATM versus saying Automatic Teller Machine each time.
Edit: Building off what Connor said, I think a good milestone to aim for in any language is the ability to describe something you don't know the word for. Like if I didn't know the word for a library... I would describe it like, "Man that building, that you go to and you read books..." and mostly it works.
I remember an experiment I watched on tv at some point, where they went to some random store or supermarket or whatever it was, and bought some random shit painting that was like 1,5 dollars or something, and then they went to a high class galery and put it up. With permission obviously, it was a proper experiment, not some video prank. And these so called experts when asked what they were willing to pay if it was for sale was offering in the 6 digits, some of these mf even went into the millions, making up all kinds of bs that they could feel the artists emotions through the painting and similar garbage. It's so funny to hear all these so called enthusiasts talk about art when in reality 99% of them don't know wtf they're talking about outside of just liking the painting
Wild what made it to this cut. Love your content.
This cozy stream vibe hard
First 2 minutes about the title
Rest of the video just straight yapping gold
That art place better have a license agreement with Disney or oof they in trouble
Gonna be 29 this year and my shit is still not together. Maybe this year will be the year lol.
Love the just yapping streams
those yapping streams are always so interesting to listen to
Great video. Different from the norm. Definetly appreciated
What a cool video format !!
Connor is pretty interesting and eloquent he should do these kinda streams more often
My question is, how do you make starting stream not feel like as much of a chore?
Example: I have to open up 2 different applications and the game, change the source in stream labs, mic check and audio check, make sure everything is properly calibrated, then I have to open my phone to pull up my stream to act as a moderator as well, as well as make sure the stream title and category are correct, then the only thing people talk about in chat is video quality/lag when on my separate device watching my stream (my phone) everything looks just fine, so I can't exactly troubleshoot and so I can't even get into playing the game until I just give up and have to assume it's only like that for a hand full of people just so I can play the game.
I enjoy being on camera. In fact, even when I'm alone, my natural behavior is like I'm in front of a camera, but the setup is a massive chore. I look forward to my job more than settup for stream, but streaming itself is one of my favorite things ever despite having an average viewer count of 0.6.
As a poor artist I am clearly doing crap wrong I need a bedazzler and to steal copy right stuff to make money.
Like the choice for bgm, beneath the mask instrumental great choice excellent choice
What stream was this?
Ngl, Joker credit card goes hard
Someone bought a cheap canvas and wrote in sharpie “this is not art” and it sold for 1 million. Modern art is only so expensive because rich people will buy into anything because they are pretentious af
It's actually a really good way to launder money. If you buy a piece of art for 10k it's now worth 10k and you can turn around and put it on an auction where the minimum bid is 10-15k
When my brother and I used to play games together, we voice acted everything too. I found it's a lot more fun to game that way. You can give a game a lot more personality when you're riffing off of each other and making up all kinds of bits for each scenario. Game Grumps and JelloApocalypse are really good at voicing playthroughs. So hilarious!
Connor's ending screen getting more and more moldier every time.
Still waiting for the next room review stream 😭
wait this was just an edited stream...poggers
Bro, when i saw connor without his beautiful bread,
I legitimately thought i clicked the wrong video lmao
I don’t think there’s such a thing as too much farting, passing gas means your digestive system is doing its job
I love yapping streams in the background.
Seeing Connor laugh just like Ludwig is pretty funny and kinda wholesome at the same time
3:47 I only knew it because of that vending machine isekai anime 💀
Appreciate the casual "I'm a shapeshifter..." Persona OST in the BG.
Which vod is this from?
Seeing Connor without a beard is like seeing your Teacher outside of school.
Connor's end goal: getting to 40, streaming what you want, not giving a shit = Mr. Metokur
Just don't get the side order of 50 forms of cancer Cdawg
"Fuck"
-Henry Cavil in chat
i hate modern art
-sincerely, an artist that mostly works with cartoon styles
Are you going to english dub The New season of Kurotsuji?
Love your anime dubbs!
connor should make a podcast and yap on there i would listen
Baby face Connor!
The game connor was playing is called Shashingo.
I love how chill this video was and enjoyed alot
I want to try that Japanese language game but for other languages! I’m currently learning Korean.
connor is so straight forward and always says the truth, that's waht I like about him 😄😄
