I met him backstage at a show in Olympia at the Capital Theater. Sweet 75 was playing with Sky Cry’s Mary. I was 15yrs old or around that age. Anyways,a super nice guy. If I was in the biggest band in the world for a little while I would say “no f’n way am I doing a meet & greet” but like I said. He was just really cool and very down to earth. Completely changed my thoughts on how “famous people” or whatever where like.

This untold truth just got me thinking of Novoselics last meeting with his old friend Kurt Cobain. Kurt fooled him making Krist driving Kurt around to the local drug dealers, they ended up in a fight. What a sad way to end such a remarkable friendship. Poor Krist!

Lots of Nirvana inspired bands come off as lame ripoffs (Puddle of Mudd anyone?) but Seether's first couple albums are a fantastic carrying-on of the style in a really authentic way IMO. Remedy could have been a Nirvana song with different lyrics, and Disclaimer One came really close to sounding almost identical sometimes. Glad they developed their own unique style as they went on, but Shaun's vocals on Nirvana covers give me chills. Hard agree, but it would also be easy to understand if Krist and Dave just dislike anything labelled "post grunge" as a rule
