I just brought 2 today. Can’t believe , I walked in my local grocery store and saw them. The floral manager was marking them down . I got both for 17 bucks
I just bought this plant yesterday at home depot, I saw a youtuber with her husband, I follow her so since I did not have my glasses, I asked for help and she was so so so kind and so nice and she helped me.... She also gave me advice on the plants........... In-person these plants are so beautiful, I Am addicted to the split-leaf family
Okay I must live in an area with a lot of unique plants because I managed to get a ZZ Raven, Monstera adansonii AND this one for only 30 bucks total. In a regular plant store. And they're massive. I'm over the moon!
I came here because of the new Yorker video about millienials' houseplants and just realized I used to follow you on Model Mayhem back in the 2000s! Small world lol
I have one of these and just figured out the name thanksto this video. I I actually found mine at my local grocery store on clearance for $10. I had no idea it was a popular plant.
Hi. Great video. I just got two small cuttings with a bit of roots from ebay. I live in a low humidity state. I have the cuttings in water under a small clear plastic bowl (dollar store “greenhouse”). Is it better to let them get accustomed to low humidity from the beginning? I’m wondering if it will get used to the humidity then die once I remove it from the bowl/greenhouse dome once it gets too big. Any recommendations about this? Thanks!
I just bought one and it’s been getting dark brown almost black on some parts of the leafs not sure if it’s from shipping or sun damage or lack of water 😭 but your video will help me take care of it a lot better
Hello Summer. I just purchased one. So I cut into three pieces. Two are rooting ing water. I also have a Monstera Delisiosa. So cool a plant. Love your instructional and beautiful videos. Karl
Yay I jumped up and down when I saw this pop up on my feed! I was gonna ask if you can do a care video on this I just got one and there's very little info on care for this plant
I'm curious what you do when it goes chlorotic. I thought it was iron deficiency and have been giving it iron with no change over 3 months. I cut off most of the leaves which was about 4 feet of leaves, which put it much farther away from its light source, but all of the brand new leaves are still chlorotic.
Hi Summer, excellent video! I just also watched the tetra propagation video with Sandy. I have two cuttings that just started growing areal roots in water. Should I just put it in sphagnum in a pot and grow it like that? Should I ever introduce it to a well draining soil for the long haul?!
Well done and smart video. Just bought one today. Tetrasperma seems more like one of the trailing common "Philodendron" than a "Monstera", and just as easy to start new plants, not clear on how it is grown. Should I expect long vines normally and not expect it to make an upright plant?
Hi summer, 1question. Monstera gets yellow leafs bcoz its too close to light source? I have them about 10ft away from east facing door, is that still too much?
I got mine in the mail a week ago. My confusion is why isn’t there one fertilizer for all plants? How many fertilizers do I need to buy to fertilize my plants. 😩
Summer, when you say moderate humidity what percentage will that be?. Also, with regards to thrips. What do you think of Bonide systemic pest control?.
I have a new Raphi that came in the mail very badly damaged. It is putting out new leaves but the aerial roots are dying at the ends (shriveled up and black). Is this a problem and will this make it less likely to successfully propagate?
I bought one around july last year...4 leaves about 5 inch size each.....and it has never given me any growth, but the leaves look amazing ..nice green ...I have fertilized ( organic)...and nothing...any advice?
Mine got severe root rot because it came soaking wet in super absorbant soil. Much of my plant died but I was able to save a few pieces and have been water propagating them and it's starting to re-root!!
I need some help. I got a rooted cutting in the mail ( I know, risky) but it had two leaves, nice long roots and an aerial root. I planted it in a very loose soil, put it in too much light at first so I lost one leaf. It has been just sitting there. One leaf, doing nothing and I have had it since Sep. 3, over a month. It's now in bright light, water when dry, etc. Nothing. It started a growth point but that turned brown and stopped. I have checked for root rot, none. Any ideas???? thanks ahead of time.
Here it is two years later and I just bought one of these for $10 in a ceramic pot. As a plant 🪴 lover, it amazes me how the price of plant fluctuates over the years. I remember wanting this plant, but I refused to pay the asking price. But, today, 9/7/21, I FOUND HER FOR $10. That’s my rant…,
Hello! I live in Miami and i bought this plant a few weeks ago. I think i may have overwatered it :/ quite a few of the leaves have turned yellow and brown and fallen off, and i noticed that some of the new stem growth has turned black, wet, and soft. There arent any pest infestations, and its in a room a few feet away from a west facing window. The soil isnt really all that airy, like there isnt much mulch in it so im worried it might have root rot but im not sure. If anyone has any advice on how i can help this plant out, id really appreciate it.
Thanks for the tips. Difficult and long you tube name to remember for some of us foreigners: .... what was it ? I have to stop writing to look again to the name
My rt was giving me tons of leaves a couple of months ago but no growth in the stem part. idk what I'm doing wrong bc it completely stopped growing help :(
i've been wanting a mini monstera and bought a Philodendron minima cause a friend said its a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma just a different name, is this true are they the same plant??
I just brought 2 today. Can’t believe , I walked in my local grocery store and saw them. The floral manager was marking them down . I got both for 17 bucks
S W they’re over $100 each at a nursery in my town...
Outstanding! I just bought a tiny plant for $30
I bought one for AU$20 at my local hardware/garden store, they were mislabelled as "assorted philodendron"
@hudson Yep
Wow I just bought one from someone and it was $18 with three small stems. I can’t wait to watch it grow.
My baby rhaphidophora got it first split leaf yesterday. 😊

Coming back to the queen of indoor plants for tips on how to get mine to grow better 💚
YES !!! This girl is so nice, real, quick to the point, and has such natural conversation with people. I like her 🌱💚

A channel I know I can trust 🙏🏽👍🏽♥️
This plant is a very pretty plant and it's size and growing habit are nice as well.
I don’t know what it is but every time I think about a plant you upload the exact video for that plant!
So true!!
Same.
Selective perception - a phenomenon of cognitive psychology :) Greetings
i bought one for 3 euros! i'm so insanely happy!!
it's tiny, it has like 4 leaves, but oh my god!
I bought one of these in March/April, it was only quite small. It's now July and touching my ceiling!
My school gardener gave one to me with a small pot... extremely elated. Great video, by the by. Thanks
I love how gentle you handle your plants...:) great info..:)
Sounds like a easy plant to care for. These videos will be helpful for future plants we decide to purchase. Thank you!
We have also in the here in the Philippines so many in the rivers😊😊😊
Liking the unique shape of this plant.
I got myself and my bestie baby cuttings today! Can’t wait to see how it grows!
So happy I got a full plant yesterday for $10CAD- about $7.70USD, yesterday at my local hardware store! Thanks for the tips :)
Nice! May i know the name of the store? I’ve been looking for one. I Live near Toronto .
Finally got one today! So excited how this goes 😭
same here how is it going?
It’s been 2 years is it still alive and healthy?
Gorgeous plant that I don't have, maybe someday I will be able to have one. Thank you again Summer, loving this series!
Tetrasperma has the coolest growth. It trails and vines like a deliciosa but doesn’t have the rot issues.
I accidentally bought a variegated one🥰😍
woah how much was it
@@mjlizarda2490 5 euros lol🤣 its a big one too

Noooooo not another gorgeous plant I now *need* ... 😍😍😍
I received mine yesterday. I am excited to watch it grow!!!
Just got one of these today for $20. Pretty good deal for such a large plant!!!
Where did you get it for $20???
I got it for free from roadside tree.

much better than the bigger ones, love this one, i never lked the large ones, but this i love
💚 that plant! Thanks Summer!
I still don’t understand how often I should water it…?

Beutiful plant, I hope someday I can live in New York like you and experience the city and of course buy plants.
raphidophera tetrasperma is LOVE ❤😍
I live in Malaysia but never seen one lol. Thank you so much for the info and tips. Looking forward for this beautiful plant.
I live in Malaysia too, just recently purchased one :) I think it's more available now
Whoa... Where did you bought it?
I never saw it too. Where did you bought it?
This one is first on my wishlist.
Got this for cheap since I'm in Malaysia. Can't buy a monstera since it's expensive, getting this was a dream!
This plant is amazing, I'm looking for one like crazy and wasn't able to find yet. I'm in Brazil!
Eu não sei se vc já encontrou mas achei na WF plantas, Caulí plantas e Philo plantas, e todas enviam para o BR todo
beautiful plant, thanks Summer.
I'm thinking of getting this mini variety before I give in head first with a larger one 🌿 slightly more manageable haha. Thanks for the video!

Love this plant. Not able to get it. As for as the fertilizer goes does it matter much if I use Jack's or any other 20 20 20?

just got a 27 inch vine with lots of branches for 6.50 usd at my local nursery bc i live in singapore and it's native here ::)

This is adorable and I need one! I have a small space and I think a regular Monstera will get too large. Too bad this is hard to find right now 😭
I found mine on Amazon from a seller called Hirt’s
I really want this plant 🤩🌿
Simply beautiful plant
So pretty!!!
How much is for cutting with just one node? Is 7 $ a decent price?
I have a raphidophora tetrasperma and it has 3 leaves that are browning at the top. Would this be from overwatering or sunburn? Should I cut it off?
What would you recommend potting it with i have an unpotted one coming and idk what would be best to use
Thanks for sharing, Is it ok for low light position, can I grow it in a pot?
My plant’s leaves are getting smaller and suddenly not getting splits. It’s in a west facing window. What to do?
What do you do when the leaves are browning and drooping...
Apparently mine is stressed because it shot out a leaf without any fenestrations.
Is this the same as a philodendron minima?
I bought one around july last year...4 leaves about 5 inch size each.....and it has never given me any growth, but the leaves look amazing ..nice green ...I have fertilized ( organic)...and nothing...any advice?
Does it prefer distilled water or reg?

I put mine on a cedar plank, should I switch it to a pole?
I must find one of these!
Off topic but I just bought a fiddle leaf plant for $15 and it was pretty healthy
There has been a lot of discussion about tissue culture of this plant. What would be the difference?
I bought the same plant, but as I got it home, its new leaves are not Monstera-like, fenestrated leaves any more :( why is that so? what should I do?

Sabrina Camargo mine also has yellow & brown spots. I just took it out the pot & there’s no rot. I’m hoping it’s a humidity issue but I’m not sure.
Would you recommend putting stones over soil to retain moisture in plants?
Thanks for the tips. Difficult and long you tube name to remember for some of us foreigners: .... what was it ? I have to stop writing to look again to the name
How long will a baby one take to grow big like the one you have.?
This plant. There is a stand of them in my hometown. Its native XD
Love my raphi tet! But also, I have questions. Can anybody zoom about my plants?
Does this plant also do well in lower light conditions? This is on my wishlist but I only have a north-facing window :(
Mine has brown & yellow spots. Any advice?
So I'm thinking this is what's called the Philodendron Mimima here in Australia ???
no that’s most likely different scientific names don’t change region to region
That's the common.
My plant's leaf is not getting a split even after having its fifth leaf.. Why is it so?
I love your content. You're like the Steve Irwin of plants
If you live in central Ohio, Wilson’s garden center has a bunch of these for $20
How do you tell the difference between tissue culture & not tissue culture?
looks like a split leaf version of pothos trailing like that.
Canadian Infidel they’re both part of the philodendron family

Its the same. Today I bought a tetrasperma as a 'Monstera minima' but I've already seen 'Philodendron monstera' or 'Philodendron minima'.
They are the same, but beware of rhaphidophora pertusa.. It's a lab culture plant..
Did visit thailand for plants as you went to singapur..? What tempretue of your room ,which is good for plants.plz reply
