    Great way of explaining Details on caring for this plant in a short amount of time

    Your explanation of different types of roots and transitioning cuttings from water to soil was very good. I've learned this propagation technique from trial and error over the years, but wasn't really sure why it worked the way it did. Thanks!

    .. I just bought two small ones, not realizing it was the same🙄☺️ one turned out to be a little skinny, and the other one much more compact but every leaf is more or less crumpled .. At first I thought it just needed to kinda stretch out from the wrapping it was in, but now it's been like a wee over a week and it is still crumpled 😳🤗 the leafs are not broken or damaged at all.. it just looks like it was "born" with crumpled leafs 😳🤗

    Mine had new leaves but died due to me transferring it from water propagation to soil. It’s been a month and still no new leaves - should I give up?

    What does it mean when a leaf turns brown? Are the leaves supposed to be flimsy or firm?

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  4 года назад +1

      The leaves are ment to be firm if they are turning yellow or brown and going kinda soft and flimsy its usually due to over watering or the soid doesnt have enough drainage and could be root rot ideally you want the soil to dry completely between watering, if the soil stays wet longer than a few days to a week after watering you may want to re pot yr plant in a soil and perlite mix with better drainage

    So... I bought recently about a week ago one at Lowe's which looked not so great... I cut three leaves yesterday and the rest do look ok to me. But the leaves that I cut ...the ones that didn't look good... ended up having water damage... basically, they had some spots with slimy slushy feeling in the leaves.. real gross to the touch. I did some cutting and maintenance..no watering though because these big box stores such and over water the plants and her soil is still moist. She wakes up with dropplets on her leaves and at night time... last night she had so many, it looked like rain fell on her! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is this ok? My plant is so cute and has two new lime green so soft leaves that opened up. What do you think? 😄

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  3 года назад +4

      Monsteras excrete excess water through the leaves which does make them look like its been rained on its nothing major to worry about its just the plants way of saying its absorbed more water than it needs just let it dry out and water less and it should be fine.

    SUBSCRIBED! Thank you for posting this video, it's very informative. I got mine from Etsy today. It's beautiful but one small leaf is yellow and has a brown tip, is that an early sign of root rot?

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  3 года назад +1

      Most likely not usually alot of leaves will turn yellow if it has root rot however if it is something that worries you it wouldn't hurt to re pot it in a well draining soil/ perlite mix to be safe if the soil its currently in doesnt look well draining that is.

    Hi! My Terry got some sunburn (newly propagated) I left mine under an afternoon sun (extra hot) as I am from Asia then after half an hour i got shocked seeing the (2) leaves got burned literally!! should i cut out the burned leaves? or just let it stay there? Please help 🙏🏽

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  4 года назад +2

      Providing there is at least one good leaf remaining for photosynthesis you can cut the damaged leaves of as the plants waisting energy and nutrients on the damaged leaves

    Hey I’ve got a spotted marsh frog what’s the best tanks for it?

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  4 года назад +2

      A standard 2ft tank should be fine with a decend sized water bowl or dody of water as marsh frogs are mostly aquatic and spend alot of time floating at the waters edge

    How long does it take from a plant like yours to a giant vine? Wow great vid!

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  4 года назад

      Its hard to say exactly it all depends on the conditions the plant is kept in, but under perfect conditions it is capable of growing a new leaf every two to three weeks
