Jay Postones is one of the best cymbal integrators with his rhythm work
He and Clay A from Polyphia are prob my top 2 if we're focusing on their cymbal mastery
I wonder how many times the phrase ‘cymbal integrators’ has been used over the ages. There’s at least two I know of
@@7c2d the only other famous symbol integrators I can think of wore patches and a lot of really chunky crosses
@@7c2d I might have heard it subconsciously. That's usually how I pick up vocabulary. Phrases usually stick with me without me knowing.

@@drummachine5787 no, acle just programs parts when he is writing the songs. there’s no reason for him to try and write for Jay
you’re probably thinking of the first album (well, the CF ep at least) which was all programmed, and jay learned it to audition for the band

Jay's drumming is always a treat to watch as well as listen. The way he moves between cymbals is so fluid.
Mind boggling, just that. It’s so amazing how he can arrange to play the cymbals and put such a groove.

It still blows my mind Jay is with Meinl now. Jay you sound so good with meinl cymbals and these playthroughs are amazing. All of these songs inspired me a ton throughout high school and college it is so dope to see these being played!

Hah, I say that about so many of my cymbals! My 18" dark crash is one of the few that never disappoints though. Love the one I have.
@@TSR5000 I've got an 18 also and love it! My 20 just seems to have an odd tone. Typically use it as a ride, actually haha
