Your haircut looks beautiful. Having had both haircuts I think Ouidad cut works better on longer hair. For some reason everyone ends up with shoulder length or shorter cuts after a DevaCut. I prefer the longer styles
I've had several Deva cuts by different stylists and was never happy. I love my Ouidad stylist and my hair is much easier to style with this technique. Thanks for this video to reinforce my commitment to Ouidad.

Awesome 👏🏻 glad to see you posting a new video!!👏🏻💞. I’ve had Devacurl haircuts and found that my layers were choppy and messed up from this type of curly cut. I agree that the dry Devacurl haircuts are meant for very thick and coily hair. My hair is thick curly and I’ve been getting a wet haircut more recently and she does a carve and slice technique to thin out my bulky areas. Never use thinning shears on curly hair, as this creates more frizzy hair and coarser texture. You’re hair looks beautiful and I love you in glasses 👓 too☺️👍🏻

I LOVE YOUR CUT, I feel like my hair is so similar to yours... I feel like my hair has a hard time getting the curl to start at the top without long layers... your curls are beautiful
I have been doing wet cuts since I have been transitioning. I have 2c/3a hair. This makes me want to continue getting them. I love my hairdresser and I don’t want to leave her.
Got a very similar cut a week ago, and my stylist said the same thing as yours! I too thought at first that it was better to cut the curls dry, but my locks really look different from wash to wash and that could be a problem with such a procedure! also my hair is kind of the dupe of your beatiful curls, that’s funny 😂

I recently moved from Brooklyn to staten island and I am still searching for a curly hair stylist since I started the cgm in May 2018 after having a horrible and first ever deva cut experience, which was in April.
I now belong to a group that is world wide on facebook for naturally curly and wavy hair, and if it okay, I'm going to share this video with them. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Your hair looks great!

I love Devacurl products, but I prefer the Ouidad cutting method.
I’m in need of a cut too, I just need to do some research on salons that specialize with curly hair. I’ve never had layers before, but I feel like my face needs some face framing layers. I’m just so used to having my hair all one length. Do you plan having your hair curly for the wedding?

What did you think about the Quidad leave in conditioner. I’ve been using it, but I think it has cones.

Hi there! I've been following your channel and I just about jumped on the curly girl bandwagon and was hoping to get your thoughts on a protein-free gel? I tried the devacurl ultra defining gel, and it absolutely didn't work for me. My hair stood out in clumps, and it weighed my hair down a ton. My hair wouldn't dry for hours because of all the clumping. Any suggestions on an alternate gel? Thanks!

Girl! I don’t remember what part of jersey you are form but I’m in Barnegat (Ocean county) and I literally just got a ouidad cut today! Down here, with a salon owner that has been trained by ouidad. So worth not to have to take the trip up to the city.

Lisa Arace Thanks the info. I found a salon in Oradell that has Deva trained people but although I've gone natural for the past 5 or 6 years, I still like to keep the option open to blow dry....if someone else is doing it for me lol! I heard that Deva cut is too uneven if you have a blowout.

I live in Algeria i have pretty the same type of hair as yours, but the thing is i litteraly go out with that frizz like in the begining of ur video cuz i don't find those "highend" products people here don't really like curly hair so there's not much product for curly hair, any suggestion how to style it? thank you

Hu da i just began wearing my hair curly and i'm only discovering how hard it is to find good products. I wish there was a vid about those as an alternative
when i started to curl my hair, i cut it first and i bought the shampo Dop shea the purpel one and the masque it helped a little bit, and there's also Garnier ulta doux avocado and shea

Brandi I’m in the very beginning of my transition, I’ve been following the cg method for about a month now so I’m still on the process of finding products and I’ve heard really good things about the ouidad line so I’m on the lookout for a good in depth review. But thank you for your input I really appreciate it!
Mariana B are you following CG method? Keep in mind that the 2nd ingrediant on the Leave In is Silicone

They are from firmoo! I love them, I never spend more than like $40 on prescription glasses :D
are Ouidad products CG approved? Im still so confused about ingredients... I thought all silicones were bad, but now I hear some are fine. also are there products vegan? cruelty free? your hair cut is gorgeous!
Inner Beauty Vegan you can copy and paste the ingredients into isitcg.com and it’ll tell you if it’s safe or not!
Inner Beauty Vegan So Ouidad has products that are silicone free and then they have products that contain water-soluble silicones. There’s a huge list of products on there website that are vegan. Also they do not test there products on animals, it’s written on all products and samples.

What is she doing with the shaking of the hair? What is the purpose of that?
It's to get the curls to take shape without scrunching them which can cause frizz
Holy moly! Watching her technique she's texturising/thinning it. That's supposed to be the worst thing for curly hair. I agree the finished product looks wonderful, but it's not great for the health of your hair.

Im a certified Ouidad stylist. The internal cutting technique is carving. It is actually like creating internal layers in the hair. This is different than "thinning" which I don't agree with either. The internal layers remove bulk, help the hair to have a less triangle effect. A good Ouidad stylist will not "thin" the hair. That being said, the cut is not for everyone.

I think I alredy told you - You look better with yovr hair with the partition in the middle. It gives you more volumen in your roots.
It is a pretty nice haircut, but I really disagree with the wet cut method. It just doesn't make sense unless if someone is coming in with loads of product buildup weighing down hair. If would also be very hard to cut transitioning hair from heat damage.
I'd personally feel more comfortable getting a haircut with a Devacut expert as they know how to work with the curl rather than comb it out and visualize it. Ouidad products also contain silicone so it isn't CG friendly. I just find Ouidad somewhat sketchy. 😭💩
Some of their products contain water soluble silicones.. so it’s not actually the same as regular silicone.
:/ 40 years in the business and the thought of someone videoing my Talent never crossed my mind. YES I would be uncomfortable Yes I would be irritated & YES I see I would have to post an additional charge for that. Let's face it ... bloggers blog with monetary benefit in mind (at least at some point). Our talent comes from a relaxed atmosphere. Reason 756 why many of us do not do platform. Just saying
