Finding London's Best Food | Food Tours Season 1 Marathon | Insider Food
I really enjoyed this series with Joe visiting London. I wish you guys could meet up more and do dual reviews. It's so much fun to watch!
I concur.
Tbf I'm here after watching the new York meet up
the irony an Italian birtish family making the best birtish breakfast is not that ironic when the royal family are germen the most popular dish in the uk is chicken tikka masala , fish n chips is origin are Jewish style if frying fish n french pom fre bringing it together oh and tea ' traditional "birtish TEA yeah where did tea come from ??? china using birtish raj india to grow opium to sell to smuggers so the Chinese smuggers exchange for tea.
everything is from everywhere else even the anglo saxon the Normans (the English birtish white are all descendent of invaders immigrants ) then you have the celts who were are older people group on the land we call birtain probably the only people who can call themselves 'indigenous or native ' and even that is debatable because , are the ancient celtcs related to the celts today ? or did they die off and new people group mixed with anglo saxon or viking or Norman create the Irish n Scottish n Welsh of today ?
regardless birtish 'traditional culture is not so ancient as they try to tell everything is connected to everywhere else
Being an island = multiculturalism. Gotta love it.@@Adam_K14
Wait.... Marathon after 3 episodes??? 😭😭😭 Guys, is the season over already? When are we getting season 2?
3rd stop on the 3rd episode was long so it definitely over
Yeah, they only did three episodes from these but now we’re trying to get the views up so they can send Harry to the states next
fr, when they announced this series I was expecting a standard 12-episode season and then they quit at 3
@@aclonymous Yeah, maybe 6-8 if they wanted to keep it short and sweet....but 3 kind of feels like a tease lol
@@NicholasMahabeerIt's probably short since they gotta take into account Joe's flight costs, hotel, etc.
Honestly, Proper British food is LOVELY. Sunday roasts. Pies, Soups. Pastries. Its nice. I wish people would stop saying British food is bland before trying.
It's a comparative issue. If you are accustomed to food from India, the Caribbean, South America, Africa, etc. the variety and strength of the spices in British food is significantly lower. When was the last time you were knocked back by the spices in a British dish? Then, people like to exaggerate it out more for comedic effect. British food isn't necessarily bad, just sticks to a small corner of the spice rack; ironic for a country that colonized every corner of the world, collecting spices along the way...
The view about spices / flavour and British food is highly outdated. There's also more variety in the UK than you can poke a stick at
World War rationing did a number on the perception of the British palate and cuisine. British food should be known for being very warm, savory, herby, and filling.
I ❤ their dynamic! Harry is a great storyteller. Joe is clever.
Both men are energetic and charismatic. I'm glad I came back to Insider and discovered these two!
I could watch these 2 discuss British Parliamentary Procedure! Love everything about this series!
You two are such fun to watch. For the best breakfast, you need to go to Ulster. An Irish Fry is particularly noted for the different sorts of toasted or fried bread.
This is true. A league unto itself!
When I gazed upon those beautiful mushrooms at the last full english breakfast, it immediately became my #1. I absolutely love mushrooms in any manner of preparation, but a sauteed mushroom is just heaven.
Harry I love watching these videos when I’m hungover. I was at a wake yesterday, and I feel very blessed that my gaffer sent me home this morning.
I wish the government would stop shutting all the pubs down mate. I used to have a pub, literally across the street from my house, that sold the most beautiful belly pork sandwich.
Perfect for the dreaded hangover 👌
I love Joe, he's always willing to try new things, and gives the best reactions!!😂
How did you not do a roast dinner? Literally the most British meal
I was wondering when are they ever going to do that?
Best Sunday roasts are at The Duke of Richmond (Queensbridge Road in Haggerston), The Marksman, and the Harwood Arms. The food at The Anchor and Hope in Southwark is excellent, but I don’t know if they do roasts, as I’ve only ever been there for dinner (if they do though, it will be great). There’s the episode for you.
Cus they’re searching for the best burger… the episode isn’t best Sunday roast 👍
@@97h61, They do different themes- they did burgers, fish and chips, and full English breakfast.
Because it’s London the least British city
I don't know why, but Joe's laugh at the 9:56 mark just had me in stiches😂. Maybe his disbelief at the Bendy and cheese burger?
You guys should do a food wars video 2-3 times a year exclusively on new menu items. Maybe a couple videos for fast food and one for snack/drink brands.
You guys are making me SO hungry! I just lucked into finding your channel 2 months before I’m heading to London for a vacation. I’m finding all these places on my Map app and doing screen shots so I will know where to find them from my hotel and/or the touristy hot spots.
If Joe is baffled by this level of deep frying he should definitely come to Glasgow for pizza crunch which is a battered cheese pizza. Then there’s the deep fried candy bars, most commonly Mars. I remember years ago there was a place that sold a sausage wrapped in Donner kebab meat then battered. It’s name was a slang word for an erection but your arteries would probably be so clogged after eating that to get the required blood flow.
Really enjoyed the program. Burgers and Fish looked awesome, a Scottish breakfast with haggis and potato scones is a must to try.
Harry and Joe make this channel 🤝🏻
a Note about fish and chips, during ww2, it was the one thing that was not rationed, it was wrapped in news paper cause paper was needed elsewhere so was rationed but the fish and chips? not rationed at all.
meat cheese a nice brown gravy, just works.
Criminal not to get the wings at Honest, you'll have to take him back for those!
Honest burger wins imo. The borough market location has a local special with chorizo, smoked cheddar and garlic mayo which is easily the best burger I've ever had and its like 1/2 the price of burger and beyond which is also great, bleeker and black bear also should be in the conversation
Foods with prefix " British"
British Burgers, British Curry, British Tikka Masala and British Carbonara.
This series is better than foodwars
So true
I imagine this would be filmed over multiple days, each day starting with multiple bong hits.
Do the next food tours with the British Sunday roast
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
34:08 Loved that ‘ehhhheh’.
you gotta put the chips in with the burger and they used to be open til 4 in the morning or something like that in the west end-all the late night workers used to go there-I'm 65 so this was 45 years ago
9:48 i love this chaos
bendy in a bun…. some of ya’ll have never grown up with hot dogs and ran out of hot dog buns and only had hamburger buns so you cut them in half 😂
This is so satisfying to watch
Ok 😅😅 next week I'm heading to Shoreditch Burger and Beyond.
Thanks guys.😮
I would have loved to see at least one more best of like a breakfast pie or sandwiches.
Baked beans on buttery toast or even just buttery bread is one of those weirdly good things. My mom will legit eat cold leftover baked beans on buttered bread, and I mean like a meal sized portion of just that, like 2-4 pieces.
Also, the waiter at Pellici's settled it. So legit, he can't be wrong.
First time I see Joe’s eyes and face lit up in pure happiness. He’s definitely a burger person
14:33 thats a proper British experience and burger right there for sure. Reminds me of Brighton - Churchill Square road side burger hut.
That burger van burger has got to be one of the best I’ve seen
You got Edward Norton to review London food!!
"I think London has some of the best food in the world."
Oh my sweet summer child...
he probably still living under a rock
Never been to Rome or Venice 🤨
Last burger place looked amazing ❤
First fish and chips ❤
Last full English ❤
Should totally take him to Gilbey's in Eton for their full English breakfast, it's amazing. 👍
16:00 so jarring to see the boys walking past those pink and blue buildings, worked between them for 15 years 😂 love the Food Tours videos.
my amount of respect to food reviewers lays on how they clean their plate
The entire northeast coast of New England is full of great fish & chips!
As a Cape Cod native, my response was the same as yours!
The honest restaurant I will give them a try
Could we get a list of the places, I want to try and hit up these places when I go to London.
I love this episode
26:20 might be my favorite quote from that guy so far 😂🇺🇲🦅
Enjoyed this series alot. Would like to see more but also not sure what uk dishes you could add to compare to each other. We (the UK) don't have many signature dishes that aren't stolen. Lol. Looking forward to being proven wrong.
wait you think any American food ISN'T stolen? literally every well known american dish was created by immigrants based on traditional dishes from their homeland
You guys should have tried Truffle Burger in Soho, Absolutely fantastic gourmet burgers there 😆🍔
First fry up place 14.50 and you get one half raw sausage and rubbery looking bacon. Only descent looking thing on the plate was the egg.
Oh my...! :O This looks delicious, all of it!
The guy at E Pellicci was amazing. He'd be so much fun to drink with..
Wonderful video!
"omg dude" that's the best review in my life.
As a northerner these prices give me a stomachache; come up to the north and get double the fish and chips for half the price, and it's just better :P
I dont want the fries because i dont want to waste stomach space *proceeds to grab beer*
Wunderschönes Wochenende & Gesundheitliche Produkte
Haddock over cod (you dont get much more south than me. And the vinegar has to go on first so the salt has something to cling to. 😊
Lmao i love his laugh. It's so contagious.
I would appreciate Gorege Motz's opinion of these burgers and his perception of how they relate to already existing American styles of burgers.
Seen this one before, but this the long cut?
Yep. All 3 episodes into one video.
E Pellicci ...GREATEST breakfast I've ever eatin.....!!!!!!!!
Frisches Produkte auf dem Teller Präsentiert werden..........................................! Wunderschönes Wochenende & vielen Dank
There is *_always_* going to be some part of a cuisine that foreigners (to that cuisine)) will never get into. I cannot do beans as part of a breakfast meal.
You should come up to Scotland and get depo fried black pudding, haggis & deep fried Mars bar 😂😂😂 xx
Old mate just dislocated his jaw to eat that marrownase burger
Christ, the prices! My local chippy does fish and chips, curry sauce and a can of pop for £6.50.
20:31 best bite ever
love it, all the dishes look delicious
Awesome food
Delicious
Loving the videos - new sub here 👍

You and Joe together? Yaaaaaaaaaaaa
Anyone think that they should do a roast dinner episode I mean, who doesn’t love a good roast dinner I literally had one at the time of this comment
Enjoy the food man!!!!!! Making it way to difficult just enjoy just enjoy damn burger
A guten Appetit & Sante
what the english breakfast lacks in the beans is cayenne, garlic and blue cheese chunks
The bendy burger is so weird. It's like why? There's an alternative bun so you don't need to bend the sosig!
I found it challenging. But the Indian food though ❤🔥
I miss marathon!!!!
Love your videos!
Mmmh, looks so yum
I wonder if they'll do food tours japan with george.
U should try desserts too to find the best😊
Joe need to visit the other food wars hosts in their native countries and try out their foods.
To everyone who sees this comment, keep pushing in life and never give up. Can't wait to see you successful one day and May God bless you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bendy on a donut to solve the round issue 10:32
he has never had a sloppy joe burger in his life if he didn't love that bougie burger
amazing food
26:21- 😂 I bet all the UK people were in awe to see an American put salt on his fish and chips.
We all do 🙄
When their is going be season 2 are going to be more episodes then season one
im sitting here, watching two men eat burgers.
what a world.
I didn't realise it they'd renamed it to a "bendy", how am I going to order it with a smirk now?
A Brit and an American enter in a restaurant talking about food. Everyone from other cultures laughing 😂
A job where traveling is required, seems like the greatest thing ever, too bad I’ll never be able to get it.
I love long john silvers.
