Blocking in the head is a simple way to capture the basic size, shape, and tilt without having to worry about any of the facial features. This can be done ahead of a sculpting session or added onto a figure sculpture to make sure the head looks right before adding details. In this lesson we’ll cover 3 different techniques to sculpt the head.
    ASSIGNMENT:
Make all 3 of these block ins with clay. You can submit your work by creating a free account at proko.com/portraitsculpt and posting a comment with images of your sculpture under the assignment video. Some student work will be featured in critique videos so if you want your work featured be sure to do the assignment and submit it!

no, its usually better to lengthen the jaw not shorten it

I'm already incredibly dependant of the Loomis method i don't think ill change it for a production sculpture (btw i do digital so carving features is way easier)

The Bodem method is tedious. I would not recommend it to novice sculptors.
