As someone who has sculpted and worked with clay in the past, this is incredible. It's something that comes with time. Making mistakes and working through them. Getting so far, then totally starting over. Having the wrong expression and changing it. This person has been doing this for quite some time. This is a learned skill, but you have to have patience and put in the work. Tiger Woods didn't wake up one day and become a great golfer. It's the THOUSANDS of hours on the practice greens and driving ranges. It's the time someone puts into something that make them great. So, to anyone who wants to do this, get your ass out there and do it. Get all the supplies you need, set aside a few hours per day, or per week and learn the skills. It's something that doesn't just stay with you either, you need to keep up your skills and stick with it. I hope there are more people out there who do this. It's a dying art, in my humble opinion.
It has inspired me to get back into it. I already have too many irons in the fire, but what's one more. It's such a calming thing to do as well. Put on some peaceful music and create!
Well done. Thank you Philippe. You are a great artist. I enjoyed watching you work.
The sculptures are without any emotion, just technical tricks
As for me it looks like a performance - first one face, then another - it's interesting to see how the author's idea and facial features have changed 🙂🙃
Your words have been engraved in my soul.
Awesome ❤
For me the most fascinating part was when you started to change her expression. Thank you for sharing your amazing art.
I don't understand the people who put dislike .... it's a perfect job. I am also an artist and I really like sculpture and there is no fault here. on the contrary many congratulations is perfect. greetings from Mexico
Puede que esos dislikes vengan de artistas con un "understanding" mas elevado que el tuyo. Donde tú no ves faults, otros los ven a leguas. Me puedo dar cuenta de que clase de "artista" eres
By the way, the phrase "many congratulations" hurts. It's so fucking spanglish and unbearable.
the teeth are weird, not a perfect job, still liked though
This dude just slaps it and suddenly it looks good. How.

Best video I've seen yet of the whole process...allows one more confidence..especially when you know you can and can see the vision in your mind and just knowing that it's confirmed here as to what you thought you could do yourself, it's amazing ...thank you so much for this time and process...just love it.
That was so beautiful, I just recently started to dabble into sculpturing and I’m so amazed at how much I love it! Thank you for sharing such an inspirational and beautiful video.
This is incredible, you're truly an inspiration for artists everywhere. Thank you.
You are incredibly talented. It was a great honor to watch you work. Very cool to see two portraits in one with the hair and expression change. Also very impressive gallery behind you!

So this madlad just finished a super good sculpture and was like, "NOPE, I'll change it" and made it a more challenging one You, sir, are amazing.

One of the most beautiful things I have ever watched!
this is bloody beautiful. Ive been trying to learn this and it is almost frustrating to watch a pro effortlessly put forth such a wonderful piece. Keeps one motivated! gotta keep practicing !
Your art reminds me of famous Greeks and Roman statues.Nice sculptures thx for sharing with us all.Be safe be blessed take care everyone.
Thats completely different..! Greek art was greatly innovative, creative. The sculpture here are just technical, with low expression and no style
This might be the most satisfying thing I've ever seen.

Amazing work as always! Such an incredible piece!
OMG! I am blown away. I think I need to look into learning this. Thank you Philippe.
OMG I'm speechless girl you are gifted, thank you for showing off such amazing work. Do you teach people how to do what you just did? You are the best wow again thank you!!! 💕 ❤️ 🏆 💐 👍
I spent all day today working on a silicone mold like this for my bust. Nice coincidence to see you post this. Harder than it looks.
what do you think he used for the end cast in white is that plaster of pairs or earthenware clay
Capturing the natural beauty of a lady soooooo well.
Sensacional! Artista de mão cheia.
Wonderful skill This talent demands TOTAL dedication It's apparent

Exellent great sir, you reminded me of my time when I used to make sculptures too. I am also a sculptor. But due to lack of space, I stopped working. Seeing your work I remembered my days
What incredible skill and work Philippe! I'm a fan.
This video is really helpful. I've been fallowing your channel for a long time and I've just recently started sculpting busts and I've found your videos to be incredibly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill. :)
Hey I'm curious, Do you have any pictures of your sculptures? Thanks!
Браво, Мастер! Это- чудо!
Stunning .... I am lost for words. An amazing skill.
Super awesome talent... hatsoff!!!
Amazing
In my country, only students who major in portrait drawing or a mannequin craftsmen can do such a job properly. Few illustrators and comic artists have knowledge and experience of academic portrait drawing. Everyone draws anime and manga with the motif of anime and manga. You guys love manga and anime, but I admire the advanced skills of American illustration and comics.

I dont know what happened to me Philippe... but I was just watching you sculpting and it made me very emotional. You have a beautiful work, thank you for the inspiration.
Great video, as always. These are especially nice to see uploaded at times like these, when we cannot get out to classes.
That was amazing, I would love to be able to afford a bust of me to be done but the time and expertise needed is probably way beyond my price range but your video was fascinating and you are very skilled at what you do. Thank you for sharing
Amazing, brilliant, skillful. Its a blessing you have.

Omg it all makes sense now on how its a process, thanks for the great explanation!! Love your work!
Thank you so much ! You have no idea how much I appreciate the fact that you would share the knowledge you have with me. I’m sure others feel the same. I am not in the position of being able to leave out to go seek classes but it’s something I have a great desire to do. Do you have an email address or website ? I’d like to inquire about classes over the web. 😊
There are books on the subject.
There is a link in the description for classes
Hi, Philippe , do you start laying shellac and making a mold when the clay is still fresh or after it is dry and hard? Or do you wait for hardening a silicon layer before putting another layer? Is the clay you used reusable yet? Thank you for this movie, hypnotizing!
oo i also need to know..!
@@su-lj8ni Do not start making the mold while the clay is dry, it needs to be fairly wet/damp so it can easily be removed from the mold afterwards.
Here is a man that can make what I can't even draw.... Unreal! You are very talented sir and I loved watching your video. Thank you for sharing
Incredible. Thank you. A pleasure to watch.
Sir, do you still remember when did you start sculpting? What age?
Manificent!!!! 😮
please may i ask a demo of a horse head... like the one in the back ground?
your talent is Wow!!!!
Once you built the structure and anatomy like a piece of cake, I'm totally amazed, then you show us it's shaped from reference photo, I'm speechless
Such a privilege to see your work!

What a beautiful job. Wonderful, thanks for sharing your art. Cheers
Art plus science. What a great profession
It would be nice to do a sculpture of Sylvia Likens in remembrance.
Awee. Now I can't stop imagining how God made us through clay with all of these complex organs and systems.
Truly a master at work!!
Just awesome skill, seriously, mesmerizing! And beautiful. Thank you for creating!
philippe faraut: "im also changing the age and expression"... reality can be whatever i want!
1:18 You made Lenin!
I think this is just very clever, such a skill, knowhow, and the outcome is amazingly beautifull!
Espectacular. Un trabajo impecable.🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼😍
7:34 I'll let you know honey...
The lip line on the lower is too short, giving the appearance of abnormally large maxillary central incisors .
Things a narcissist would say!
Too short for what? Abnormally large for what? This a human being he is sculpting. What a moronic comment.
Absolutely amazing talent!
Amazing! Very delightful, the imaginary the passion beautiful piece!
I feel even more useless after watching this. How so talented?
Hahaha... Likewise, how turn a complete figure to another pose with another age??? Amazing
Your art work is so unreal your art work is alive so welldone its like the women are alive wow.do you lifecast too???.
This was done from photographs due to the Pandemic.
It is so satisfying to watch you work. Your artistic skills are awe inspiring. Thank you for sharing!

Must feel weird when it starts to resemble a real face, like you're touching someone's face or something haha
