Interestingly, I was an early fan of Bonnie Raitt who had not yet caught on all that much with the American music scene, but I found, while living in London in the mid-70s, that the English loved her and she was a big hit on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test in this 1976 appearance and also at the Odeon Hammersmith in London before a jam-packed audience in August 1977, a concert I attended and loved. Ultimately she became a star in the U.S. but I admit I loved her most during her younger years.
Just saw her in Red Rocks with Richard Thompson. Holy shit, the best double bill I've seen in a long time. Her band is brilliant
