    Nice like you show the repeating sequences while talking about the use. makes it more compact and there are more opportunities to see precisely the sequences. Thanks for the work!

    I love wing chun. I still have two hand forms to learn before I learn the muk jong but I'll get there. I have a friend ready to design my dummy right now

    OK so I straight up cut down a tree put some arms and a leg on it and made my own dummy and I’ve been train on it but I don’t have any wing Chun teachers near me so it’s nice to find someone who’s actually really good and he knows what he’s talking about and has a JKD and boxing background thank you for your wing Chun lessons I would like to see more stick man applications because I’m very serious about learning wing Chun also I don’t really have anyone to spar with so the stick man is all I got.

    Sufi Jason: I drill JKD using your content and I love Your Wing Chun videos. The way you go over the forms and the dummy I think I better understand it now. I still prefer JKD. Thank you and I do realize the principles are the same. :-)

    Hello Sifu Jason, another great post. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate your approach and Ving Tsun “mentality” (if you will)... You’re knowledge unlocks so many gems that I am grateful for and look forward to training.
    If I may, an unrelated/related question not to this post but rather your book, “Wing Chun for a Modern Warrior”. Again so much great content that is truly (IMHO) relevant for today’s WC/VT practitioner. My question/request is can you perhaps expound in a video a little more on the “footwork” section of this book, or in general, w/ emphasis on the application and uses of the various horses (Ma’s) eg., Tui Ma, Hui Ma, forward/back Shuffle stepping. If you already have a video posted I apologize and perhaps you can direct me to it. So very greatly appreciated and please continue with the great posts. Cheers!! 🙏🏽

      Stephan Alexander thanks so much for the support of the channel and the book too. As for the footwork, that’s a great topic for a video...we should definitely do that.

    Sifu Jason! Can you make a video of the warmup routine that your school does for warming up before you practise forms? Or some stretching routines or body-making techniques? I guess you can and can't.. /Sihing Massi

    Question, when you are going from Quan Sao/Gan Sao to Po Pei, why do you break contact with the dummy's arms? I was taught you want to keep that contact against the arms at all times so you know exactly where the opponents arms are. Hit from where your arms are already located instead of breaking that contact to hit certain spots. Just wondering, not trying to say one way is better than the other.

    Is this book strictly for people who have trained Wing Chun or can someone like myself wanting to learn Wing Chun will benefit from this?

    • @JKDandWingChun
      @JKDandWingChun  2 года назад

      While it certainly doesn’t hurt if you’ve had experience, the book is designed to teach and show the Jong form from scratch.
      Thanks for the question (and for watching too).

    It is pitiful to me when I see a wing chun artist not using his finger jab or groin kick vs a challenger from a mma background on you tube!! This is a self defense art not a comat sport!!!!!!!!!!
