Your video popped up on my feed so this is my first…. You have beautiful skin! I’m 58 and I have loved makeup my whole life .. that’s a lot of years. I currently own at least 30 foundations . mind you that includes liquids, creams, powders, CC/BB creams, they add up. I believe I have six powder foundations with the hopes of finding one that looks decent on my normal to dry skin, mature skin . If I had to pick a winner, it would probably be the MAC. I HAVE TARTS AMAZONIAN POWDER FOUNDATION, ONE SIZE, LAURA MERCIER, MAC, ELF I THINK A SPIRITUAL WOMEN NEED TO PASS ON THEM, UNLESS IF YOU HAVE OILY SKIN.
In my 60's and have tried several foundations at all price ranges. I think that a foundation that is a little dewy/glow is necessary for aging skin as it contributes to a hydrated and youthful appearance; it all has to do with application. I've noticed that women who apply mat foundation and powder blush look older as their skin looks dull, sort of cakey-like and lifeless.
It s so good for your skin.. e lauder I very been using it since it came out. My skin show it itsso expensive. Now cover girl. Or wet ,wild. All good....
I think you hit the nails on the heads! I was thinking there must be something wrong with either my skin or that I wasn’t moisturizing properly beforehand,or I wasn’t applying the foundation correctly. I always find that any foundation that says “glow” or “illuminating” or “dewey”for mature skin only accentuates fine lines and wrinkles. The opposite of what it is advertised to do. I too bought into the hype of the It Cosmetics CC cream, and you’re correct. It was the worst of the bunch and made me look 10 years older than I am. Thank you for your honest assessments. I realize that foundations work for some and not for others, but I agree totally with your findings. Looking forward to more videos.
I too bought into the IT CC foundation. I tried for a year to make it work. It was like slathering peanut butter on my face and it never dried down even with setting powder.
Do you know I looked up "foundations for women with wrinkles" and there are none. They all say "mature skin". I found one woman with real wrinkles, she is 80 and I have more wrinkles at 63. None of you ladies have many wrinkles. Is it just a woman with wrinkles isn't successful on RUclips or maybe I am the only one out here with deep wrinkles. Are wrinkles becoming obsolete? Either way it isn't a confidence booster at all!
Totally agree that glowy foundations are horrible for mature skins! I don’t have a lot of wrinkles but shiny skin makes them stand out 20x more. Then I need to pack on powder. I am quite a bit older than you and like the EL Futurist and the Lancôme Regenerist. I almost bought the Cover Girl one this past weekend so now very happy I didn’t but might look for the Neutrogenia or Elf ones to test out.
I'm almost 60 and love Laura Geller Balance 'n' Brighten. It doesn't emphasise fine lines or wrinkles, and never goes cakey (on me). I can also apply it without looking in a mirror, knowing how it performs, and how to use the different hues in the pan, and it always works. It's best used with a retractable brush; the denser you have the brush, the more coverage you get.
I keep searching, testing and believing that an upgrade for my, ahem, mature skin MUST be out there. I tell myself that I cannot keep wearing the same foundation for decades. Well, turns out that I probably will. Lauder's Doublewear is the greatest of all time. High end beauty companies refusing to provide samples is another reason I will probably not try as many alternatives as I'd enjoy. Not that it really matters; each experimentation is always a grand fail anyhow. Loved this video. You looked adorable in this video by the way. What a striking and sunny face.
Loved your recommendations. I'm 53 years old and have loved the EL Double Wear since it launched in 1997. A great alternate at the Drugstore is Loreal Infallible Freshwear.
At 70+ yrs. old , I've been wearing EL Double Wear since its launch ; began wearing it because I showed horses & needed an exact match foundation w/ a natural look that " stayed put " all day & beyond ! ( Wear Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin SPF 30 under it year round - EL DW stays true . ) 🥰
Well, this is interesting...I love the slightly glowy foundations, and I'm 59. Dior Forever SkinGlow is my best current foundation. I get compliments every time I wear it. I also like Shiseido Radiant Lifting, Revlon Illuminance and L'Oréal ProGlow (a dupe for the Dior). I just use blurring powder on the T-zone. My skin is normal to dry. Also, longevity matters to me, so the Chanel No 1 and CT Beautiful Skin are beautiful going on, but soon fade. I need foundation to last 10-12 hours. Thanks for your opinions.
The timing and the content of your video is just perfect for me!! I am a Makeup artist and I want to specialize in mature skin. Thank you for posting and sharing your knowledge.
I love the dewy look when applied correctly. It takes me a little more time to apply it, and I do lightly powder my face. I have dry skin and matte is a no go. Thank you for sharing both drugstore and high end.
I’m 54 years old. I love the dewy look but I have very oily skin so dewy or glow foundation is a no for me. However, I started using Elf luminous primer and OMG it was a game changer! I use it with my go to foundation and Elf Halo glow blush. It gives me a light dewy/ glowy finish without the oily skin. BTW love the AC/DC shirt! ❤️
After you've put on your lipstick, put your finger in your mouth, close your lips gently and then pull your finger out that should stop lipstick on teeth . Or blot lips with paper towel before applying gloss.🥰
I love Estée Lauder Double wear. I have dry skin so I just make sure my skin is moisturized before I apply it. What great about this foundation is that a little goes a long way. I apply it with a sponge. It blends right into my skin. It lasts all day.
You just came up on my feed, I’m so glad I clicked on. Your hair is SO cute and youthful on you. I found pumps for Estée’s double wear on Amazon, perfect! Thank you so much for going over several of foundations. It gets pretty confusing out there 😅 ❤
hi... I am also 64 and starting to get some deep set wrinkles. do you mind if I ask if you take any supplements or special skincare that you feel/believe has helped keep your face practically wrinkle free? any tips you can share would be greatly appreciated ! I have never had botox or fillers.
@@traceyfehn7840Hi Tracey, I don’t take any supplements and use IT Cosmetics skincare including cleanser, serum and moisturizer. I never sleep in my makeup and give myself home facials once a week as well as get a professional facial about every 8-10 weeks. No injections for me either. I think some of our skin condition is nurture but also some is nature. We do what w can, right? 😊
Hi, there! Thank you for this awesome foundation rating video. I'm also 58 and I didn't like the It cc nude glow at all, I returned it. Have a lovely day!
I love your reviews , you’re so candid and I watch many makeup reviews !! I live in southern NC where the humidity is a huge factor for my skin coverage. I’m always looking for a “ out the door “ coverage for errand running days. I’m 69 , use retinols , SPFs and have healthy looking skin. I’m hoping the Charlotte Tillbury will work !!! Thanks and please keep reviewing ❤
Oh thank you! I do have a few. Here's a link to my winter Skincare video Thanks so much for watching! 🤗🩷💙💗🩵💜ruclips.net/video/Ah0ev23N6qg/видео.htmlsi=EeeQ82vAoUxCGAK0
Hi everyone frm cali. Iam 65 iam a foundation hoe lol. It is VERY hard finding a great foundation. I buy high end mostly, but end up taking it back because it doesnt work. My latest buy is dior and guess what iam taking it back. Its hard when a 30yr old is advising what foundation to buy, what works for them, doesnt on me. Ulta and sephora, need more mature sales ppl to help.
I feel the complete opposite about the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. The shades oxidizes and they all seem to have an orange tint to them. I had the hardest time finding a color match, but once I did I just didn’t like the way it felt on my skin.
You’re awesome. Love your simple, honest, funny style! I’m following you now and so are my two middle aged sisters. I stoped wearing foundation for awhile since I could not find a good foundation! I recently stumbled on Wet n Wild because they had a beautiful tawny desert color and I was thrilled! This is before I saw this video that you loved it! No more Chanel foundation for me at $50. I may try Charlotte Tilbury or Lancôme Lift just to have a nice one on the shelf too. Thank you!
You look lovely in the foundation you are wearing. My thought is that 20 years from now you may understand why many older ladies look better with a little glow. Skin is different at 78 than it was at 58.
hi, I'm Lisa. You've got to try Armani Luminous Silk. Yes, it's pricey at 69.00. I am in search of something cheaper for sure as I honestly cannot afford the Luxury brands but again, I'm older 55 & I want to look & feel my best. They have a real nice shade range.& offer this in a mini for $44 if you want to sample without committing to the full size. Thanks for the video. I'm going to check out some of your other videos now
I just started using this foundation 3 weeks ago and on my 64 year old face, it looks fabulous! Yes, it’s a little pricey but it is worth it after trying 10 or more foundations this past year. Laura Mercia is also really nice!
I’ve worn Estée Lauder’s Double Wear since its debut! I’m a retired nurse(73) and it looks the same at the end of the day as when I put it on early in the morning…as I’ve aged, the Double Wear has worked consistently BTW…..the color shade has not changed either! ❤
I live in AZ, and my skin is Dry! And I love the estee lauder futurist one. moisturizing, light coverage, natural looking. Most foundations I’ve tried, looked cakey.
I am 60 & use the elf foundation myself. Love its smoothness! I use to use the beauty foundation from dollar general store & loved that one, but I can never find my shade, so I use the elf one!
Just came across your channel! I love the Dior Forever foundation!! It looks so flawless on me without feeling heavy, doesn't settle into my fine lines and last all day. Still see my pores but at my age NO foundation it going to cover them completely. Have you tired it?
New subscriber here. I have normal skin that leans dry in Winter and somewhat combo in the t-zone in Summer. I’ve found that the Lauder Double Wear and Futuristic work the best. Now, I also take care to hydrate my skin first. It lasts the best ALL day and in humidity. Sometimes, I even mix the two! And, I don’t need a lot at all - not even a full pump.
Have you reviewed NARS light reflecting Or Dior Forever skin Glow I’ve got it narrowed down to CT Beautiful Skin and these other 2 Love this review by the way Lots of info. Thank you !! I’m 55 almost 56 … foundation has started to be important to me now haha! Pores, wrinkles, ect all on the increase! Haha!
Oh thank you! I'm wearing the Tarte Maracuga Juicy Plumping Lio Gloss in Desert and the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Soft Glam pallet. Thanks for watching! 🤗💗💙🩷🩵💜
I am also a Laura Gellor b&b fan, I also like doll10 serum foundation. But for all the ones you demo, the one you are wearing looks the best, what is that one
I really liked Cover Girl Ageless Essence. I got the Chanel Waterteint and I hated it. I couldn't believe I spent $94 on it. HATED IT. I don't know what people like about it. It doesn't blend. It doesn't sink into the skin, It's drying. Ugh. Hated it. I hate their blush, too. It doesn't blend into the skin at all. But, Covergirl made a dupe and the dupe is better than the original. And I was also surprised by Charlotte Tilbury. She rocks. She's expensive but you know you're getting a big bang for your buck. And I also love Lancome. The only thing is, it gets old fast. I found after three months it was so dry in the bottle. I had to stop buying. So much of it went to waste. I wear less and less foundation the older I get. I do like the Sisley concealer but even that I only wear sometimes. Same with mascara. I wear less of it. I do wear more blush and mauve lipsticks.
Yes, I was having trouble getting the lighting just right. The foundations do have a slight yellow tint that does make it worse. Thanks for watching! 🤗💜💙🩷🩵💗
I cant top ELF Flawless satin finish for $6. I tried 2 high end ones for fun this yr and they are ok, not nearly as good as the ELF. The best new items I just got are Nudestix bronzer and a blush. The shades are very very nice on me. I am 64 - I have used pure organic coconut oil on my skin morning and night along with some korean face cream. My skin is still pretty good.
For myself, I love a matte foundation without it making my skin look like a desert. To me, glowy, dewy, and hydrating foundations translate to shiny and greasy. I know that's the look a lot of women look for in a foundation, but I'll pass.
I'm not into big coverage; the Bareminerals rescue tint is my go-to... and the matte version is not bad either. I think Guerlain makes several lovely foundations perfect for mature skin, but I miss ELF's serum foundation they used to have. Not much shade range but each shade stretched to fit several skintones. I went through 3 bottles before they discontinued it 🙁 I prefer a sheer, dewy or natural finish, so I like Nars Sheer Glow, when a good shade for me is available (not often). My reaction to the IT was pretty much the same as yours-- my mom loved it though.
I have a few dark sun damage spots on my 74 year old skin. Do any of your viewers find that the tinted sunscreens seem to deepen those spots? Also I like the “glowy” foundations contrary to your suggestions. My skin is dry and I need dewy to lift my skins appearance.
I found this very I treating thank you. I also use two of the products you showed .low end and high end. My question is when you buy a foundation what sort of colour range do you look for .I am 75 yr and constantly trying colour ranges never really know which shade to choose . Don’t like tan. I am in the U.K. not hot Sun here.
Great question! It definitely is so hard to find the perfect shade. I like to go into Ulta or Sephora and ask for a shade match. They can help you decide your best shade and under tone. I am a light with a neutral undertone. Thank you so much for watching! 🤗🩷💙🩵💗💜
I am 73. I have freckles and age spots. The best one I found was Shiseido stick foundation with sunscreen. It is good coverage and glowy without accentuating wrinkles and pores, and blends well. Only problem is they discontinued it and I am on the hunt again! I got some serum to brighten up the spots, but living in Hawaii, that is a continuous battle.
Thank you for this video! I've had the same experience with many of those you included. Right now the only foundation that I don't get angry with is MAC's Studio Radiance. It doesn't have a glow so that's a big plus. It's also not heavy so perhaps that's why I'm happy with it. That being said, I've been curious about Charlotte Tilbury's Beautiful Skin so I'm going to buy it and keep my fingers crossed. I'm almost 73 but have pretty darned good skin and that's why I don't go for the full coverage foundations. Thank you again...Linda
Thank you so much! I am wearing the new Tarte maracuga lip plumber Gloss in Desert Rose. It isn't goopy and makes my teeth really white. Thank you for being so kind with your comments. I do appreciate it. Thanks for watching! 🤗💙🩷💜💗🩵
I recently started using PHOERA Foundation Makeup For Older Women. I really like it. It's light and looks great on my skin and I don't have the urge to wash my face after a while like most foundations.
I am surprised that you reviewed these older foundations that have been around for so long. There are so many better options available in drugstores and upscale foundations.
I love the Double Wear, however using it daily can dry out my skin a bit, so my favourite all-day high performance foundation is Chanel Ultra Le Teint All Day Comfort - it's really a fantastic foundation! I so want to try the Lancome Renergie Lift, but it's not available in Europe, sadly :( Tried to order it from American Amazon, but it said it didn't ship to my destination. Such a shame that Lancome hasn't launched it here.
Oh thank you! You're so sweet! I use Olaplex #6 & #9 on damp hair then when I use Olaplex #7 for the shine I just scrunch it up! Thank you so much for watching! 🤗💙💜💗🩵🩷🌷
Do you have dry skin? I do and I am having a hard time finding a product that does dry down too far. I am currently using Ester Lauder futurist and it is not working.
Oh yes, I do! I have to really prep my skin with a good hyaluronic acid serum and moisture. Depending on the climate you are in, winter months can be brutal!. You may want to try a light tinted moisture for now. I have a good Skincare Routine I did recently. Don't give up, my friend! 🤗💗❤️💜🩵
It is individual skin and response I have had oily skin my whole life Now in my 60's and having some body changes, a dewy finish looks -and feels perfect
First time to your channel ~ you popped up on my feed~ so glad! I like your personality ~ your great soft voice is relaxing....God bless other beauty creator's, irs hard to listen sometimes when a voice sounds like a high pitched parakeet or a fog horn lol. Anyway, I wrote down a couple high end I'd like to get...the Mac & the CT Beautuful Skin!!! Today I'm wearing a Drug Sture foundation that is like high end but wayyy less expensive ~~L'Oréal True Match 2nd formulation N3~~ its excellent!! Thank you~ I'm subscribing!!❤
Everything youre putting on looks yellowish to me...
I thought that too. All look orange.
I have been working with my lighting. I'll have to make it more white balanced. Thanks for letting me know! 👍🤗💗❤️💙💜🩵

Yes Belinda their lift and illuminate is awesome ❤
No mention of how these foundations pair with sunscreen. Too bad.
I appreciate this video but I so wish filters weren't used.

I’ve worn Estée Lauder’s Double Wear since its debut! I’m a retired nurse(73) and it looks the same at the end of the day as when I put it on early in the morning…as I’ve aged, the Double Wear has worked consistently BTW…..the color shade has not changed either! ❤
Love Estee Lauder Double Wear! Thank you so much for your service. Nurses hold a very special place in heaven. You are very much appreciated 🤗🩵💜🩷💙💗
No I haven't! I'm saving up my pennies! Thanks for the tip! 🤗💗❤️💜🩵
Hello sweet, beautiful friend . You always make me think outside the box. Thank you for sharing this. You look so amazing ❤
Hello dear friend! Oh thank you! You are just so sweet! I'm so glad you like the reviews! Have a wonderful day 🤗💙💖🩷🩵💗
My first time seeing your videos. You are so cute! Will take your advice. I needed this. 😊
Hi. Would you be interested in reviewing some of our wigs?
Please email me at Livgyrbestlife@gmail.com and include a link to your products! Thank you so much!
Your makeup is just stunning in this video. What primer do you use?
Oh thank you! I have been loving the ELF Poreless liquid putty primer. Thanks for watching! 🤗🩷💜🩵💙💗
Has anyone tried the foundation with the mushroom sponge? It has a design when you blot it?
I used to use cover girl over my oil of Olay. Same results! I was stunned when they put them together!
I think it looks like you have nice skin which helps.
Hi. Im new here. Im Patricia from Rhode Island. I need this video. I subscribed 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Have you reviewed NARS light reflecting
Or Dior Forever skin Glow
I’ve got it narrowed down to CT Beautiful Skin and these other 2
Love this review by the way
Lots of info. Thank you !! I’m 55 almost 56 … foundation has started to be important to me now haha! Pores, wrinkles, ect all on the increase! Haha!
No I haven't tried those yet. Thank you for the tip! Thanks for watching! 🤗💗💜🩵💙🩷
Did I miss the Urban Decay review?
Oh my goodness! I cut it out by mistake! Sorry about that thank you for letting me know! I'll fix it. Thanks for watching 🤗🩷💙💗🩵💜
I agree with Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin…
It’s buildable but one thin layer is all I need. It last me all day. My favorite
You and I have to get the correct shade because we have a tan shade. Your complexion is awesome❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Hi, could you tell me what eye shadow and lipstick you’re wearing please, they both look so nice, thanks.
Oh I love this foundation! Lancome Renergie in 255. Thanks for watching! 🤗🩷💙🩵💜💗
the Estee camo is to conceal tattoos
Something with the lighting made the makeup you were trying have a yellow tint.
What makeup are you wearing?
Oh my foundation is Lancome Renergie 255. Thanks so much for watching! 🤗💜🩵💗💙🩷
I absolutely love your blush color! Brand and color, please. 😍
Oh the ELF came liquid blush in Berry Well! I just love this blush. Very pigmented. Thanks so much for watching! 🤗🩷💙💜💗💗
For myself, I love a matte foundation without it making my skin look like a desert. To me, glowy, dewy, and hydrating foundations translate to shiny and greasy.
I know that's the look a lot of women look for in a foundation, but I'll pass.
For me IT cosmetics cc is amazeballs. I've just purchased 4 more tubes because it's hard to get
Hello. Which foundations do you think have the least toxic ingredients.? Thanks❤
That's a great question. I haven't researched that yet, but I will! Thanks for watching!🤗🩵💗💜💙🩷
I have tried so many illuminating, glowy foundations and they are just awful on my 63 yr old skin.
The color is so off, all the foundations were yellow...editing?
Yeah, I tried editing, but it just made it too light or cool toned. I have a new light ring that should help. Thank you! 🤗🩷💜💗🩵💙
I'm 62 and alternate between Estee Lauder Double Wear and Merle Norman's Perfecting Makeup.
I like your haircut / style!!❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
I’m looking for a one and done. Ditching concealer. Anyone have any suggestions?
Have you tried Guerlain ? Absolutely beautiful, the skincare in these are second to none , my fav atm is parure gold radiance ❤❤❤… just gorgeous x
I have not heard of this brand before! Thank you so much for the tip!

I love the Neutrogena foundation, I’m 51yo with slightly dry dehydrated skin type
Thank you for watching and the tip! I'll check out the MAC foundation. 🤗🩵💗💜💙🩷
What are you wearing on. your lips in the video? Beautiful color! Thank you this video was so helpful.
Please share the better options you have found. My large pores drive me crazy.
I really like Clarins foundation. They have one that is moisturizing but still mat.
And what about Dior?
Yes! Dior is on my list to review next as soon as I've saved up the money! Thanks for watching 🤗💜💗🩵🩷💙
I must be in the minority but I like glowy skin tints and light foundation.
I haven't tried the Chanel foundation. Thanks for the tip! 🤗🩷💙💜💗🩵
It would help if you describe your skin type. Thanks
Good comments. Love your hair. What do you use to scrunch and shine.
Oh thank you! You're so sweet! I use Olaplex #6 & #9 on damp hair then when I use Olaplex #7 for the shine I just scrunch it up! Thank you so much for watching! 🤗💙💜💗🩵🩷🌷
Thank you😊👍
Interesting, thank you
I just don’t use drugstore. I did my time in high school.
Thank you very much finally somebody on this platform is my age❤ I love it
Wonderful! Yes that is one reason why I started my channel. Thanks for watching! 🤗💜🩵💗💗💙🩷
Thank god someone put it out there that glowy foundation on mature skin looks bad, if the word dewy is anywhere on the product I will not use it
A woman after my own heart! Thank you! 🤗🩵💗💜💙🩷
It is individual skin and response
I have had oily skin my whole life
Now in my 60's and having some body changes, a dewy finish looks -and feels perfect
Wonderful! I'm so glad you found me! Thank you so much for the laugh! Thank you for subscribing! 🤗💜💗🩵💙🩷
