Love this, we are getting chickens this year. The coop and run are almost completed, just need the snow to go away to finish.

I love this channel and have learned so much from you two. I started my homestead this summer after writing my job, and began slowly with just laying chickens, rabbits, and milk goats.
I need your help with my chickens! I bought 2 lovely metal nesting boxes when I got them, mounted them on the wall, and they're are maybe 3 chickens that use them for 20% off their laying. They love playing under their roosting bars in the corners (ick!). The eggs are typically poopy and gross by the time we collect them. How do I get them to only lay in the wall art commonly called a nesting box?? 😬

    This was adorable!
I love short, fun, to-the-point videos and this one ticked all the boxes. I've seen a couple of the later videos in this series and found them to be adorable and informative.
Thank you for spreading good information about one of my favorite critters. I'd love to see more people get into chickens, if only for the fun.

I have a coonhound (raccoon killer, had to teach her to kill opossums), a LGD and a skunk killer. Yeah, that last one lives outside. I don't worry about predators. But the skunk killer does eat eggs. Small price to pay for skunk protection!

Remember if you free range them they do love to dig up all flower and garden beds and could kill out your garden
