Love it! I swapped my badge grill two days ago for the TOYOTA letters and I can't stop looking at it. The letter colors match the truck (Cement) so it is a perfect compliment.
I'm liking your Yota. Not overly done but still enough so it has an edge. Love it. In the process of adding a couple more things here and there on mine.
for me, the audio is ALWAYS the first thing to change in a car, because you will ALWAYS use it. its either BOOM or bust. then we can talk about offroad mods lol. Besides having some badass tunes while doin badass things is always fun.
I have 3 inch puck spacer in the front and 2 in the rear. Falken wildpeaks and it gives my truck a nice aggressive look and it performs pretty well off road (I don't go rock climbing or hardcore out in the woods) I go to light trails and such. I plan on going HAM in the future though.
What year is the truck? The 2020 has a camera in the grill, and the premium sound system is pretty good, not compatible to a full blown custom car show quality system but not bad.
Any nice strong bumper/guard is worth the price. I had a ARB bull bar (ARB 3423130 is about 1,000 dollars or less and looks great on older Tacomas) on my old '97 Jeep Grand Larado. One night a big buck charged out into the road on me and i hit it almost head on going 50. The *only* damage to the front was a cracked reflector. The deer did bounce off the side and slam into my front quarter panel, but if i had not had that ARB on the front it would have been thousands in damages. No doubt i would have had busted headlights, hood crumbled in, radiator busted, and who knows what else. Spending a little upfront on a strong guard is a _great_ insurance policy.
Andrew my TJM steel bumper just saved my ass on a trail in Baja 2 weeks ago.... I should have my radiator pushed in, but had no mechanical damage and was able to drive home unscathed. I will never not have a steel front bumper again 👌🏼
Good looking rig. I am able to ride on 33s on a 23 trial Tacoma with OTT tune with no suspension modification. Plan for more weight and bumpers. Gears (4.88) before weight comes though.
Nice Taco. I’m looking to get a Tacoma soon and I’m definitely interested in putting on some mods and would love to see more information about suspension. Thank you for the good contact. Also, dogs are the best we don’t deserve them.
Do you have a manual trans or an auto? I got a 2019 OR m/t but I feel like I hit the dirt/rocks way too hard and I don’t want to rub the clutch. Any advice?? I normally ride out in Anza and Joshua tree area. Btw best mod are clips to hold a shovel. Gotten through some gnarly stuff in a stock truck with a shovel.
I have a 2020 Tacoma trd off road. I do not like the gearing either. I’m not a person that goes off road often if at all but I would appreciate a recommendation for an upgrade gear set up for a non off roading set up.
Not for me but I have heard of that happening. That's more of an issue with instal than the actual system its self. If you dont get the pannels back together correctly then they will rattle
So hilarious with the wig and singing clip. I’m a new sub and laughing my face off now. Btw I’m getting a new tundra to replace 20y/o tundra and will use for off-road mountain biking camping adventures. Considering a Tacoma but want the extra size to carry more bikes and stuff
The 2nd mod I did was sliders, after tires, many more later. I went off a rock step I didn't anticipate while driving into the sun, and kissed the slider hard. It soaked up the hit no problem, but would have been a major rocker-panel bummer had I not installed them.
What's up with the focus in this video? Winch is on my list too, plus an ARB Summit front bumper, Mobtown HC rear bumper, lift, and some other stuff lol
Do you have to scrub your truck, or is your entire wash touch-less? been considering buying a detail kit, with the foam cannon and all that good stuff and a pressure washer just because i dont wanna bend down and scrub shit XD
Thanks man. I was wondering how people felt about their lifts, tires, and shaving the front for that style of bumper/winch combo. I’m aiming to buy a new Tacoma this year, and I’ve been exploring options to get the full use of the truck, sans the things causing headaches lol.
Thanks for an informative video, best mod on my Tundra are my king shocks. Other than that it’s gonna be 33” tires on 17” wheels, sliders and be done. So many mods are not necessary like you’ve said but that’s what I’ve narrowed down mine to.
Can we only get the first dez mod lol. That’s the best mod bro. Let’s be honest😂! For real tho, I absolutely love the life that you have created thru hard work and dedication I’m a subscriber because I get a peak of the beautiful life that you’ve been able to cultivate. Keep working hard max, and never take your family for granted. I’m watching bro!!! Keep the great content coming!
Maxx Powell your content is much needed in the RUclips community. From modding your taco, and the do it yourself work. Being a great example to your kids and wife. I’m sure they’re time where you don’t want to get up and keep grinding, but please do, because you give me, give us, the visual that we can do great things if we keep focused on what we love. Huge fan max, it give me belief that I can work my ass off to earn the family and lifestyle that I want. Never settle max! Love it dawg!!!
My buddy made a rack in his garage so he could quickly pull in and unlatch his tent from his rack and then he got a small rack for his trailer so he could not only take his tent on and off in like 2 minutes but could switch it from his trailer to his truck depending on what he needed for his trip. And if he didn’t want it at all he would just leave it hanging from the ceiling in his garage. I don’t know if there’s a company that does it (he built it himself). Always thought it was a cool idea though
i dunno whether i should install a steel bumper or aluminum. i love that high clearance style and don't mind cutting into my ride. should i install steel rock sliders and skid plates or go aluminum too? how much did your widebody flares and lift with tires cost you? but yeah, regearing is on my top priority before i add anything. look into patriot campers designs on designing a trailer to fit your roof top tent, sidebyside, and any other accessories to free up your taco. great videos. keep up the awesome content.
Test drove a '20 Pro yesterday. Coming from a late 2nd gen Sport, what a difference. Once I get a dealer who doesn't try to gouge the fuck out of me, I'm getting one. Your videos have had a part in putting me into this debt lol
Surprised you said a spacer lift, most ppl swear they are the death of your suspension. I’ve had my 2nd gen for a few years now and still don’t know what i want to do lift wise since it’s mostly on road
My last Tacoma came with a 2 inch puck spacer lift and some all terrains and I loved that truck. It went anywhere and I didnt have any issues at all but there are better options out there
Dont know about you but i love the front "toyota" instead of the badge
Same here
Honestly with any truck the name looks better than the logo
Literally a copy of the raptor
1000% AGREE!! Goes from stock to badass
Love it! I swapped my badge grill two days ago for the TOYOTA letters and I can't stop looking at it. The letter colors match the truck (Cement) so it is a perfect compliment.
I agree... the winch gives you that confidence that you can take your truck anywhere and if you get it stuck, you got the winch to help you.
I'm liking your Yota. Not overly done but still enough so it has an edge. Love it. In the process of adding a couple more things here and there on mine.
4:25 "I thought he said it could light up that"
4:26 "GAHHHHH!!!!"
picking up my 2021 trd off road in two weeks, great video brother... excited
for me, the audio is ALWAYS the first thing to change in a car, because you will ALWAYS use it. its either BOOM or bust. then we can talk about offroad mods lol. Besides having some badass tunes while doin badass things is always fun.
Great video Maxx. Would you happen to have a video for top 5 modifications to a Toyota tundra?
Just bought my 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Can’t wait to start modifying it!!
Congrats man! 🍻
Maxx Powell I’m cheersing to that now
Good to see some Tacoma footage once again. I was starting to go through withdrawals.
1:36 what’s that orange thing he put under the tire?
BF3 forever Greene Maxtrax
Dude I love this bumper it’s looks so aggressive
Electric start...
*proceeds to pull start*
What year is the truck? The 2020 has a camera in the grill, and the premium sound system is pretty good, not compatible to a full blown custom car show quality system but not bad.
tell me more about that soap bottle and soap you use to clean the taco. that is one of mine after my SnugTop and my Tepui RTT
Hey dude. It's the Amazon basics foam (~$15) cannon with Chem Guys snow Foam!👊
i agree with the sliders statement. i don't offroad too much but i use them as side steps
They are handy!
When the kids get older you will like those sliders with the steps. Just put some on my Rubicon last weekend for that reason.
Glad to know it's not just my dog that looks like an ASPCA commercial during bath time.
Any nice strong bumper/guard is worth the price. I had a ARB bull bar (ARB 3423130 is about 1,000 dollars or less and looks great on older Tacomas) on my old '97 Jeep Grand Larado. I would like to know who makes your front bumper please.
Hey man. That would be CBI off road fab
I see you driving like a natural 2:36
Have you looked into Jumping Jack trailers. Could be a really good option for hauling a side by side.
Yah id love to try a jumping jack trailer out ! They look awesome
I'm not found on re gearing my 2020 tacoma. I've seen some people have bad luck when someone didn't do it right.
Yeah best to have the pros do the research so the timing is done properly
Nice Taco. I’m looking to get a Tacoma soon and I’m definitely interested in putting on some mods and would love to see more information about suspension. Thank you for the good contact. Also, dogs are the best we don’t deserve them.

Are you able to list the links for the products in the description ?
Great video! After installing the lift/suspension do you still have the "taco lean"? If so, how were you able to address it? Thank you
Please more Taco and off road content
I have a 2020 Tacoma trd off road. I do not like the gearing either. I’m not a person that goes off road often if at all but I would appreciate a recommendation for an upgrade gear set up for a non off roading set up.
what is the headache of long travel suspension? they need more maintenance more often?
Yeah that plus components fail more frequently and they make a lot of noise
has the OEM audio+ system added any rattling from the plastics/materials in the cab?
Not for me but I have heard of that happening. That's more of an issue with instal than the actual system its self. If you dont get the pannels back together correctly then they will rattle
Do you have to completely Rebuild the transmission to replace the gears? (Newbie)
That truck is the backbone of this channel
That makes me the brain and my family the heart. I can live with that 😘
Maxx Powell hell yeah man love the channel. Been here since 11K
“Have I gone to far? I think I’ve gone to far...” 😂😂😂😂
Was that Iron Maiden?
Too
WOW those LED lightbars look nice, what brand are those, i dont like the big bulky lightbars looking for a slim bright one like those
Hey man, they are made by Heretic Studios!
What system are you using to clean your rig in the opening?
Heyman. It's a Subaru Presure washer with an Amazon foam canon and Chemical guys snow foam
What size tires is he running with that kind of lift? Were those 315's?
So would I be able to go 20-30 in a train yard with a bunch of potholes? Some 1-2 inches deep? Would that damage the axle or anything?
What year is that one? Love the grill/headlights
Its a 2016 trd off road
Awesome rig! I’m looking to put a topper on my truck, what model Leer do you have?
In interested in the washing equipment at the beginning. Any links?
You mentioned upgrade on gears. Did that make a difference on the gas milage?
Yeah deffinitly improved mpg. Nothing drastic but it did get a little better. I think I was getting like 8 and after years it was like 11
@@Maxx.Powell that's good to know. I have a 2018 and get about 18 mpg and would hate to see the milage go down. Thanks for the info.
So hilarious with the wig and singing clip. I’m a new sub and laughing my face off now. Btw I’m getting a new tundra to replace 20y/o tundra and will use for off-road mountain biking camping adventures. Considering a Tacoma but want the extra size to carry more bikes and stuff
Any good labrador breeder recommendations? Thank you
The 2nd mod I did was sliders, after tires, many more later. I went off a rock step I didn't anticipate while driving into the sun, and kissed the slider hard. It soaked up the hit no problem, but would have been a major rocker-panel bummer had I not installed them.
What front bumper is that? I really want one does it work with the front bumper sensors?
Also In the train yard are some rolls would I be able to go 30-40 on them without damaging anything? I don’t have any special upgrades
What lift kit you recommend without issues. ? Or no lift
Thanks man. I was wondering how people felt about their lifts, tires, and shaving the front for that style of bumper/winch combo. I’m aiming to buy a new Tacoma this year, and I’ve been exploring options to get the full use of the truck, sans the things causing headaches lol.
How’s the reliability been with all the mods?
His steering rack has failed a fair few times.
Those front CV axles suffer a bit too.
He could have just gotten the TRD Pro and avoid all his headaches, but i guess some like to tinker.
What rims are you running? What size tire is that? 35?
Thanks for an informative video, best mod on my Tundra are my king shocks. Other than that it’s gonna be 33” tires on 17” wheels, sliders and be done. So many mods are not necessary like you’ve said but that’s what I’ve narrowed down mine to.
How much have you spent in all as the truck sits as it in the video? Just want to know how much I would be getting into to get to how yours is
The grill looks nice
I just did a video of my buddies Tacoma’s...a 2018 TRD off-road and a 2019 TRD pro!!! These trucks are incredibly capable!!! Great video.
Just got mine . I want a front bumper but don't want to be cutting on my new truck .
What do you think about upgrading to the the brakes from a Tundra
That would be pretty cool but I havent had any issues with the current brake set up
Love my 19 TRD OFF ROAD, is made in USA.
Man, I thought for sure my console organizer would have made the list.
Hey man where did you get the subwoofer box ?
It's a company called OEM Audio
Thanks 🙏🏾
Can we only get the first dez mod lol. That’s the best mod bro. Let’s be honest😂! Thanks for the encouragement man. That was much needed🙌

videos are really self esteem boosters.

Rock Sliders a must...great vid.
Do you have a video of your stereo upgrade?
Can we get some links to the mods? I kinda expected them to be in the description lol.
ive had toyota Tacoma's since 1985, they hold up good
i dunno whether i should install a steel bumper or aluminum. i love that high clearance style and don't mind cutting into my ride. should i install steel rock sliders and skid plates or go aluminum too? how much did your widebody flares and lift with tires cost you? but yeah, regearing is on my top priority before i add anything.
look into patriot campers designs on designing a trailer to fit your roof top tent, sidebyside, and any other accessories to free up your taco.
great videos. keep up the awesome content.
Is it a suspension lift or a leveling lift cause that truck is awesome
Great video!
Blasting some Holy Diver! Dio! Good vid.
What Method wheels are those getting and i’m getting a 2020 Tacoma soon
Mods on the truck are awesome. It’s definitely a sweet Tacoma!
Test drove a '20 Pro yesterday. Coming from a late 2nd gen Sport, what a difference. Once I get a dealer who doesn't try to gouge the fuck out of me, I'm getting one. Your videos have had a part in putting me into this debt lol
What kind of bumper was that at the front?
Best camera mod...set manual focus and/or widen aperture.
Yeah dude somthing was wrong with my camera on this shoot unfourtunetly but we didnt have the weather to redo it. Oh well
Ya !....nice video !!! .....like that you spoke about less expensive lift ideas......our dogs get fleas too !!
5:23 Joogsquad twin! Lmao! Also will you add a link for those OEM Audio Rear Taco speakers?
Definitely take kids when a little older, great memories when i was little in my dads international scout n jeeps.
I'm looking to buy my first car but I don't know if i should buy a Tacoma or Subaru sti. Which one should I get?
Tacoma! Sti would be fun but the Tacoma will be way more useful
A truck is way more utilitarian and holds its value.
What’s name/model of the roof rack?
Haha this video reminded me of Talladega Nights, “I’m not sure what to do with my hands”. *Karate chop motions*
Hahaha I noticed that too lol
Maxx Powell nonetheless favorite RUclipsr by far. You’re hilarious!
Regearing your taco did it change your gas mileage?
It improved a tiny bit
where do i find that back seat subwoofer box?
The company is called OEM audio
Sooooo Mucccchhh Hand Movements !!! 😂
He watches Scott Killmer
How much would a truck like this one be worth?
No puck spacers or blocks, coil overs and springs all the way! Just my. 02...🤙🤙🤙
Why didn’t he put links to the products?
Where can I get a camber shell
Surprised you said a spacer lift, most ppl swear they are the death of your suspension. I’ve had my 2nd gen for a few years now and still don’t know what i want to do lift wise since it’s mostly on road
I think a relatively cheap and nice lift are 5100's all around, maybe an AAL in the rear.
Phillip Czarnecki hows the ride without replacing the stock springs? I’ve been thinking 5100s with 887 coils
My last Tacoma came with a 2 inch puck spacer lift and some all terrains and I loved that truck. It went anywhere and I didnt have any issues at all but there are better options out there
I got 5100 bilsteins all the way around a 2nd gen. Front is a little stiff since it compressed the spring to level it out but love it still.
I have a 2019 but I like it a lot. It is a little stiffer but in a good way. It's super smooth, you just don't get the floating or sway as much
Did you get a pro charger yet?
I love your truck , I came here after a Scotty video on best trucks too buy
Hey thanks man!
CAN YOU SHOW US YOUR WIRING?! Nobody really shows proper wiring. I would like some other ideas on doing it.
How many miles do you have on the truck now.
Around 75k already 😅
2:00 reminds me.... when you comin back to tahuya?? I’d love to see ya out there sometime
I like all aspects of your channel, the Taco looks great...my favorite was the Ronnie James Dio mod, that was awesome!! Great video!!
Dio!!! 🤘❤🎸
Thanks for the video; love the backdrop!👍
Me too! Thanks for watching!
