My guess is, while you may feel your a conservative on a lot of issues, but appreciate what Dr. West stands for, means you would agree on a lot of core issues of what we need to fix in society. You may just disagree on the methods.
Anti-war? Anti-imperialism? Anti-Wall St? Anti-establishment? Pro-choice in bodily autonomy? Pro healthy environment? Pro free speech? Pro freedom and more sustainable socio-economic system? If yes to those, then that's going to be in line with many people. Again, the methods of how to get there are what tends to cause rifts.
But I say, we need to talk about these core issues. Not be afraid to disagree respectfully with one another. Find common ground and move from there. Share facts and evidence, seek it out ourselves. It isn't easy, but even a small local group of people coming together to discuss important issues and how we can address them can make progress.
Dr West tells it like it is. Lets tell the truth before we try to figure out what the solutions are.
It's so refreshing seeing Dr. West defying the odds and taking a real stand against status quo electoral politics in the US 🇺🇸.

He came into my BarnesandNoble one night during the pandemic and was wearing a mask. I didn't recognize him at first, but when he showed me his ID (He was buying a membership and I needed to scan his license). All I saw was Princeton New Jersey and I blurted out, "You're Cornell West!". I am a conservative Republican but he was one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met! The funny thing is, only one of my liberal friends knew who he was! She didn't believe me until I showed her my picture with him!

I have always found Cornel West interesting. Don't always agree with him on topics but I respect the fact that he clearly thinks independently instead of being joined at the hip to Biden, Trump or either of the parties. To me it's people like West that we need to listen to more. People that bring reason in between the political toxicity between the Democrats and Republicans. Laura was trying to set him up to praise Trump and bash Biden but he didn't completely take the bait. Laura interrupting him is one of many reasons why I can't listen to these network interviews. Rushing through topics within 11 minutes instead of having the time to have a lengthy discussion that allows him to speak freely.

Just think, he's running for president and her main line of questioning was trying to get him to bash democrats and praise republicans when his point is that BOTH parties are problematic and for corporations rather than people. All socialist talk about that, the problem is how they plan to go about it. Which, of course, is turning this country into a socialist country. History tells us that never works. We just do not go up for people under socialism, rather they go down for everyone as a government takes control of all means of production and private property.
If he really was concerned about a living wage for people then he would be preaching the importance of learning a skill, education, self-reliance and working hard, especially to members of his own race which he claims to represent. Instead, he preaches victimhood, how the white man is to blame for everything and the evils of capitalism.
We have seen the story before, and it always ends in the same way. Once they get in government, they stay in government for life as rights and liberties are removed all in the name of helping the people who eventually end up poor, hungry and with little, if anything, for themselves. After a few years they control it all and the population cannot say a single word against it as that is now illegal and they will be taken away, many to never be seen again. You won't have to worry about a living wage at that point, you will only have to worry about living.
Just ask the people of Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, and many more. Socialism never works because eventually you run out of spending other people's money.
Liberals really need to learn that government is not the solution but rather the problem.

He has a better chance than any previous 3rd party candidates to reach 5%, and that’s all he really needs. When a 3rd party, this case the Green Party, reaches 5% they are owed media time, some financing etc. He could easily be the first step towards bringing down the duopoly.
