Hey David I'm with you on the bulging disc ,, I'm going through it now ,, I've been off work 8 months ,, climbing the walls to get out of bed ,, had one injection worked for a while awaiting another too put me right god bless ya fella 🇬🇧 from here across the pond 🍺

From a guy who now has a herniated disc due to lifting heavy pieces of wood, I had to have surgery as well. The disc had calcified over before surgery could happen so the surgeon just made some extra space for my sciatic nerve. So, nothing to fix the disc.
I have found that it helps to build some "steps" with the first couple of rounds you cut. Set them up like steps to the tailgate and then roll the big heavy rounds up the "steps." Saves my back a lot.

That’s why I only cut square trees. Stacks so much better. I also run Mattel saws, they’re so much lighter.

Hey David, I did the same exact thing to my back. Seems like once you mess it up you don't ever get better. I ended up having the surgery. It was a piece of cake and well worth it. I know you don't want to go under the knife, I didn't either but having the surgery saved me. Best of luck with it, brother!

Get better Brantley. At least he broke his arm after he got his elk. Tough kid will heal quickly and be ready to kick ass sooner than later. Avoid the steroid injection if you can. I’ve seen quite a few doctors the past 10 months and only one has said to try it. He said short term relief if any at all. Just my 2 cents brother

Miss seeing the big trucks with a cord of wood at a time. But love the Yota too. I just got a new Echo 590 after I burned up my old Husq 350. Excited for a little bigger saw but nothing like your big hogs and bars. Got to start somewhere.

Hey, David ! Notice you using the head of the axe to roll the log. Do you have a "Cant Hook"(Peavy) or Log Roller to position the wood. If not, they are a life saver in wood cutting. Thanks for the videos - -hope the young man heals quickly !

Sorry, little man, best recovery on 6our arm bubby. Take of you back, bro. I hurt my back like that, I never learned, I was always pushing myself and thought that I was 🦸‍♂️, but I'm not. On my 3rd back surgery now, @41, just be careful on the back injections. Don't let the doctor hit inev, cause of that I've got drop foot for life, now. But with a good doctor who knows what he or she is doing, you'll be good, bro. The Inverter table works well also. And like you say to us, we wish the best health and happiness to you and your family and friends ❤️. Be safe bro

Had to get it removed a year later! Nice looking wood as always my 5 cord are done!

Hey David, from someone with two bulging discs in my lower back, get into some core exercises and do them every day. 20 mins a day and you will see a difference. I wish I had started much earlier.

Know your pain, one crushed, and one bulged in my lower back,I no longer bend over to pick up wood now use a pickaroon, can't tell you how much it saves my back, might be worth giving it a try

two things, they make gloves and you should definitely use them and you should never use an axe to move the log like you tried. I really expected to see it go through your leg that one time that you missed. We can't pick up oak wood like that down here in the south, it has to be split. That wood looks like it almost too old to be burned to get the most BTU's out of it. Not really know too much about the wood from your area. Good video and sorry to see your son with a broken arm.
