    Let that saw idle for one full minute to reset the low jet auto tune. Every time I cut in higher elevation or lower elevation .i let saw reset its self by idleing for one minute when you start it up. I love my 572xp 562xp and 592xp all auto tune.

    I really like my auto tunes I have a 562 and a 572. They can be a little finicky for sure about starting. I have found that even when hot when I go to start them pull it up on chock then before pulling it push it down to run and that sets the fast idle and they start much easier. My 62 really gets finicky if the air filter is the least bit dirty.

    Just throwing a guess out, the ticking might be an exhaust manifold leak. Shouldn’t be hard to check. Beautiful old cord man. Love the channel!

  • @ToddAdams1234
    @ToddAdams1234 Год назад +2

    On the “Hulk” you can try this: get it on a downhill slope and then run it in a “compression braking” instance. If that ticking is still happening then it inside of the engine but if it goes away then it’s an exhaust leak. If that ticking is still there then use a long piece of metal while holding it up close to your ear (similar to how a Dr stethoscope works) while the piece of metal (I use a long extension) is moved around from place to place around the engine AND on both sides (banks) to help determine where the sound is coming from. If it’s coming from the valve train an IF that Ford has truly adjustable rocker arms (NOT pedestal style) then you can attempt to adjust the rockers and see if it goes away. I’ve cured many valve train noises like you that. It’s just a thought.

    Beings that’s a high boy. I’m betting it’s got a fe 360/390 in it. If so that noise is one of two things. Either a exhaust leak which they were very prone to having. And it can sound very metallic. Or it’s got a bent push rod. Which is another thing they are prone to doing especially if it seen some high rpm lately. Can you hear it at idle or just under load?

  • @optimoprimo132
    @optimoprimo132 2 месяца назад

    Late to the party but the 572 might have needed the low adjusted and then the idle readjusted after that.
    I had an Echo chainsaw that was doing the exact same thing. It was like dejavu watching your struggle.
    I cleaned the spark plug and readjusted the low and the idle and it corrected the issue.

    Damn. Sorry to hear about your buddy passing. Please accept my condolences.... I'm familiar with loss in my life and understand. Noise sounds like exhaust leak (hopefully, that'd be the easiest to repair). I'm a rookie, I cut firewood for camping with a battery powered chainsaw. No problem cutting some small logs for nightly fires, it's the axe splitting part that gets me... How do I become more efficient? I'm 6'4" and a relatively fit 56 year old 225lbs that can swing an axe. I guess it comes down to handle length and weight to dial things in? And, (I can probably go back and look...) but how do you sharpen and maintain the cutting edge of your axe? Summer is rapidly approaching here in Arizona, and I can't wait to go firewood collecting with my F-150 so we can also have backyard fires next winter while at home in Phoenix when the desert cools down. Cool channel and I wish you well. Peace. Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL

      Peter thank you for the kind comment! I appreciate from the bottom of my heart! He was a great friend who left all too soon! There is a noise that kind of sounds like lifters too but not too sure I am no gear head… it don’t matter if you have a pruning saw just as long as you are happy doing what you want and love! Keep it up! I am 6’1” and I really like an axe with a 36” handle! But if I have a shorter axe I do like to use a chopping block if I can! Just keep swinging that axe and keep good form! Square up to the block lift the axe directly above your head and rip it down with your torso! Idk what you do for splitting but I see alot of folks being SO EXTRA doing the windmill which in my honest opinion is wasted energy and not as accurate! We wish you good health and happiness my friend and great appreciate your support!
