OK Aniol, you are obviously in there with higher water. What was the flow for this run and is that the highest you've done? When does the season start these days? I barely recognize the drops. Looks like it fills in nicely. Any boiling surprises? Congrats for pushing the window ever higher.
Hey Rob, always a pleasure receiving your messages. This was a one day lap around 570-550 cumecs.. There's two new rapids out there, the main one above Tanzilla is really cool, they call it - guard dog. Also minor changes in a bunch of spots like AFP, The wall, Site zed etc.. I will put up a long version of our first lap this summer at 650 this season so you can see most of the rapids. Hope you're well, would be awesome to share the river with you someday. Aniol
@@serrasolsesmedia You are so quick on the posting of the 650 m/3 run I didn't get my comment about the 570 run. Guard Dog is one I named back in '81. It's always been a testy bit of water, like a guard dog snapping at you from unanticipated angles. I always wondered why more people didn't mention having adventures there. Just having seen the 650 run I am blown away. Looks like you had quite the ride through Guard Dog this time as well. I have flown it at about 735 m/3 in 2000 and it just made us feel queasy in the helicopter imagining being on the water. It looked possible but horrendously boily. Add another 24 years and look at what you are doing. I will send this link to the fellows who were with me then and Jay Kincaid and Taylor Robertson who put on at that level but bagged it at 3 Goat and had a terrible hike out on the left bank. Your accumulated knowledge of the run and conditioning make such accomplishments possible. You have my deep admiration for pushing the limits of the possible. But remember kids, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME unless you are Aniol Serrasolses. Give me a call some time and we can talk about the wonderful place the GC of the Stikine is.
