Was there other things in the carbon package that you were forced to get when checking the boxes for the C8? And I imagine this must have been a considerable cost savings going this route. Just curious as it looks like a nice solution

Not forced to get anything. A good example right now is the cluster surround, console/door switch panels are $1695 USD plus taxes from Chevrolet. I chose not to add any of the carbon fiber options due to Canada's luxury tax laws. I tried to keep my final price in a spot where I wouldn't have to pay an additional tax. It made more sense to me to accumulate options after the initial purchase. Plus I like the process of modifying things myself.
