- Two homemade mixes to give as gifts. Chocolate milk powder and french vanilla cappuccino mix.
Chocolate Milk Mix
1 1/2 C sugar
2/3 c cocoa powder
pinch of salt
Mix well. You may want to blend the mix so the sugar isn't grainy. 'To make use 2 T of mix to 1 cup milk.
French Vanilla Cappuccino Mix
1 1/2 c hot cocoa mix
1 c french vanilla non dairy creamer
1 c nonfat milk
1 c powdered sugar
1/2 sugar
1/2 c instant coffee
Mix all ingredients together. You may want to grind or blend coffee granules smaller if desired. To make add 1/4 c mix to 1 cup hot water.

I am going to make the French vanilla capachino not only as a gift but for ourselves...I usually buy it from a local Amish Bulk food store, now I’m going to use your recipe. I’m going to use decaf instant coffee for mine though. Thanks for another great idea Josie! 💕

Josie, I've made those drinks or something like them for years as gifts.
Also, I've made something called Russian Tea which I'm sure you've made.
Instant tea,powdered orange drink mix and a bunch of spices.
It's so good.

My grandmother made Russian tea and I loved it. Always wanted the recipe.

Russian Tea:
1C Instant tea
2C Tang or orange drink mix
1- 3oz.pkg.powdered lemonade mix
2C sugar
2 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves
Mix together well and jar up.
To make...add 3 to 4 tablespoons per cup of steaming hot water and stir.

Love your measuring cups ♥ ☺ I have an older wisk like yours also. I love it. Mine has a worn red wooden handle. I make my own hot cocoa also. I have never made the cappuccino, so I will have to try that. I find those coffee granules looks pretty also. Makes great gifts.. 😊

Those measuring cups are from Pioneer Woman. I like them because they look old and vintage. I like the feel of that little whisk over the bigger whisks with some things.

Both homemade drink mixes will make great Christmas gifts Josie. I have to admit, I was watching intently as you were adding the ingredients, and saw you drop some of the coffee, I laughed. I’m going to substitute monk fruit for a batch or two as my husband is a diabetic!! I’ll make monk fruit powdered sugar by putting it through the blender until it’s powdered! (I’ve done it before, it works!) I’ll let you know how it comes out!!

Josie, I thought you said "one and a half cup of hot cocoa mix," but I think your printed recipe says "1/2" cup.

For the Cappuccino I use hot cocoa mix- the chocolate milk used Hershey's cocoa powder

What is the whisk you use
It is from Rada Cutlery. I bought it at an Amish store near hear. They are available on Amazon, as well.

This was so nice. Does anyone on here have the old fashioned tea that was made with tang and lemonade powder I think. Maybe cloves and cinnamon?
I no longer drink it. But my Mom called it Russian tea. It was only good hot.
1 cup unsweetened instant tea, 13/4 c sweetened lemonade mix, 20 oz Tang, 11/2 teaspoons cinnamon, 11/2 teaspoons of ground cloves. Mix together. Add 2-3 teaspoons per one cup of hot water. Enjoy!

Can you use decaffeinated coffee in the 2nd recipe and if so does anyone know a good decaffeinated coffee
