At 1:52 you also want the Korok Forest warp point (Keo Ruug Shrine), so get those 6 prepared on your Master Mode file. Also, the subtitle at 23:36 should read something like "Save near this chest". Discord user LetMeThinkOfAUsername pointed out for 17:42 that entering a shrine will also re-sync your inventory, so avoid that as well. Discord user MadgePi pointed out if you upgrade your Master Sword during the no-save run and then leave it in one of the inventory corruption slots, it will reset to the base damage one in NG+, requiring you to re-clear Trial of the Sword. You may want to use inventory corruption on other weapons and then durability transfer to your Master Sword for maximum effect.
Yes this is another reason why Gorae Torr (Gut check) minigame works but Korgu Chideh (Paraglider Course) does not - because leaving the shrine to get the NPC on eventide to spawn breaks the chain.
@@Chronas264 You shouldn't backup your save during memory storage. Once you've defeated Dark Beast Ganon, NG+ has started, and the game autosaves, however, it's safe to close the game and backup your saves in case you mess something up during inventory corruption chaining. Just make sure the game says saving in the corner when NG+ starts and you should be safe.
Fantastic job covering this! I watched YuDa and Kinak personally figure their way around chained inventory corruption, and I consciously thought "I'm not going to cover this." I hope this video does well for you, because this sure was a hell of a lot of work.
Oh, and something to note for anyone who is crazy enough to do all of this; after you complete everything and get your tasty nonsensical amount of arrows, avoid opening any chests that contain arrows, the arrow count will be reset to 999. If you do open one, reloading a save to beforehand should be fine... probably (I am only referencing knowledge from a twitter clip)
@@KlericYT Edit: The NPC actors who force you to take an arrow as well as Amiibo chests among all other arrow chests do say 'Your inventory is full' and bring the value down to 999, and going down from 116000 or even 80000 hurts.
@@KlericYT can confirm from personal experience lol. even picking up arrows in the overworld tells you "your inventory is full" and resets your count to 999
Stellar video! Your tutorial is incredibly concise and detailed. Memory Storage/Inventory Corruption is such a bitch of a glitch to cover but it’s super interesting, so I’m glad you made one about it!
I still have a question though. I have a master mode file which I'd like to keep because it's my 100% file. Does this glitch mess with this save file? or does it only reset the normal save file?
@@tasbot9515 I am doing a master mode playthrough right now and it hasn't messed up my saves there. @Kleric confirmed on another comment somewhere that it won't mess up your MM file, so it's probably safe, assuming you did all the prior setup correctly and disabled autosaves as intended.
Maybe google can tweak alpha zero and do us gamers a big favor. Gosh I would probably send my switch to get this glitch on my file. 😂 how much??? Am I right??
finally my dream of transferring the hylian shields durability to weapons is finally here! interesting fact: when you get the fully upgraded master sword its durability stays at 60, but it takes hits less harder. like before the trial of the sword, it takes a hit at 1 and has 59 but after trial of the sword it takes hits at 1/4 so its durability is now at 59 3/4 so if you give a upgraded hylian shields durability to the master sword it should last so long you won't need any other weapons (btw i wrote this at 2:00 in the morning so if it docent make total sense I'm sorry)
I finally watched your whole inventory corruption video! Never tried the "old-school" New Game + -- have a file with the TM never placed & the 1st memory, along with it saved at a cooking pot next to a side-quest, but put off the memory storage run bc I could never get the inputs right in time. Now, we have IST to enrich the game but I finally watched your whole Mem. Stor./Inventory Corruption video and I am just dumfounded how you accomplished everything with putting together these tutorials and I love them... I watch them all the time! Thanks soo much for all you do for the BotW community, it really helps and your content is on another level! It's so fun to see the progression from warping out of a Divine Beast, to MoonJump/Wrong-warp, to Mem. Stor., to IST, to H.P.E. Your dedication means a lot to me, and I look up to you, I cannot wait to see where these discoveries all lead to! And, thanks to you I have both Hylian Sheild max-mods and the BoL, two goals which took me forever to complete -- being that I was dead-set on MS but knew I just wasn't on that level! Now, I can SBR (except with DP turned on), DPP, DQR, DPPR, working on LDRs and DSMs and, honestly, I never even use my Hylian Sheild ++ (except for the Dur. Up one for transferring it's Dur. to ancient sheilds and such) but just getting the HS++ was the fun part, and, also, I was a little disappointed when I did use my hybrid shield to try and disarm the Gold Mob. with the RG'sClaymore in the castle and it still wasn't a high enough guard to disarm him (hopefully, once I learn HPE, I'll be able to disarm his 70-something to 116 R.G'sC.) but reguardless, I'm having the time of my life playing this game, I'm a glutton for max-mods, even simple ones like the Emblazoned Shield and using all these tricks I've been able to accomplish through perseverence like beating a Lynel using only D.P.R.s and D.Q.R.s. Next is SDM, SHOAL Rushes, jelly bouncing, LDRs, and ATRs! I use TCRs on guardians all the time -- &, it never gets old! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your content, &, other than JHent's content (and Kleric's hillarious commentary), your content is my favorite and I feel most easy to follow along to and very interesting, other than Zelda content, music is the next thing I do on the internet for the most part, and of course investigating interesting topics or funny viral videos! Thanks, again for all your content! In fact, I think I'm going to use the "Mem. Stor."-prerequisite profile to reset it and attempt to learn the art of HPE and play through and get the Hylian Sheild ++++, along with both modded BoLs, now that the elusive Mem. Stor. horror is out of the picture, lol, I swear: Thank God! But, yeah, watching your Inventory Corruption chaining vid brought back all the nostalgia of Mem. Stor. back -- I hope you never take your videos down, they are still an integral part of learning things in BotW; again, your videos are so interesting and fun to watch and learn! You have a great talent for putting out effective and interesting material! I hope you're having the time of your life on your trip!!! Thanks! (Again.) &... this will not be the last time you hear from me: HPE seems pretty out of my league, so hopefully, you'll be able to help me along... I'm on Dischord, FB, RUclips, and Twitter all the time... and, I'm abt 70% sure I may need some extra advice on HPE and it's respective chaining: time to go back to the Plateau -- at least once more before I give Majora's Mask, OoT, SS, WW, and TP (again), along with BotW2 (which I already preordered) a go! But, reguardless of which game I'm playing currently, I will always be faithfull to BotW to keep up with everthing and just bc I think BotW may be my favorite game ever! First, it was Mario 3, then it was Tomb Raider 3, then Resident Evil 2, then Tenchu Stealth Assassins, then MK Trilogy, then TP, and finally, now (officially!) BotW!!! Well, sorry for such a long post but you deserve it, thanks-a-million! - E.P.D. ---:)! ;;; ;; ; , .
Man it’s times like these I wonder how the hell people figured out that if such SPECIFIC criteria are met, they can break the game. It genuinely baffles me. Anyways, great video, can’t wait to try this out!
Yeah some of these glitches are nuts. I was just getting into BotW glitching shortly before releasing this video, so I benefited greatly from the work that others did before. I was happy to be more directly involved in some of the IST research much later.
I think the most difficult part is the set up. If I could even perform the input timing, let alone the actual inputs, I THINK I would be willing to try over and over again. 🙃 It’s been thoroughly explained by a few gamers now, but my big brain isn’t big enough. Even if it’s just the difference between (“analog left twice”) versus (“switch to inventory”) I think everyone benefits from it. Thanks for showing us how epic this glitch gets. That’s insane. Definitely subscribed.
I had a similar discussion a while ago, specifically about how I prefer explanations which include the "why" in addition to the "how". I think the tutorials which focus on just how to do something are fine and what most people are actually after, but I know some people (myself included) appreciate a slightly deeper explanation.
Just wanna leave a headsup about some things that spooked me that weren't mentioned in the video to my knowledge: - When you start NG+, you'll be naked. Just wait for the autosave, once you load it you'll have your stuff. - Also once you start NG+, your settings reset. - The process shown in the video skips the cutscene where Link runs from the shrine of resurrection to the edge of the cliff, this causes time to get stuck at 5:15 until you play the cutscene. Said cutscene is also what activates the shrine of resurrection warp. - Time won't show on the UI and you can't sit by campfires if you haven't watched the cutscene by the base of the plateau tower where the old man paraglides to you. You can use beds just fine though. - Scaling: some points seem to carry over. I'm not 100% sure on this. I've played for a bit, kerping in mind not to kill anything. Somehow, I have black bokoblins on the plateau, those should only occur once I'm past 1143 points. It might make sense if dark beast ganon points carried over, but he gives just 800. It's not all my points either, I had 9417+ points, the bokoblins were silver in the memory storage run.
In particular I’ve heard the scaling XP thing before, but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how much XP carries over / what sources they’re from. My guess is DBG and a few other things carry over, perhaps one time bosses like the blights or kohga?
I heard from another RUclipsr that the success rate will increase if you enter a ragdoll state on Eventide Island, tilt the left stick to the right until Branli finishes speaking, and finish the conversation as quickly as possible.
I finally did it! (final question at the end) After 8 attempts and completing/failing twice I finally did it all. I even took the time to get the durability+ hylian shield to have 100,000+ of all the arrows with 1000+ durability on all weapons, bows and shields. Thank you for this guide I've watched it more than any other video now. Which one of my 6 bows will have the durability transferred?
How much time did it take to get the upgraded hylian shield? I'm currently trying to get it, even counting the enemies I kill and the xp required, but it's taking me a really long time
@@Darvix57 I know it must be reallt important to you, there are full guides about killing all minibosses, killing all lynels and all main boses (only first time), releasing all the dragons. But also transferring durability from that Spring Hammer would be more fun.
Great video - for some reason the upgraded master sword transfered as the base version on mine, even though I didn't try to transfer shield durability to it, but everything else went smoothly, thanks to this video. A couple of notes: -If you get Revali's Gale, DISABLE it in the no-save run. It drastically slows the already tedious moonjump to Eventide portion in NG+ down. -For the Sheikah Slate cutscene, possibly having the Sheikah Slate in possession is the problem? I died on the Great Plateau in my no save run, losing the Slate. On NG+, I did exactly what you said: no skipping, no moving until autosave. Worked for me. Just another data point for the pile.
I think the Master Sword resets to base because the flag that says you've unlocked the awakened one is reset upon NG+ starting like all other flags. If you want you can upgrade it using TotS (either legit or using one of the skip methods) and then use durability transfer to give it the durability from another corrupted weapon after the fact. The resulting sword will last for thousands of swings, letting you literally use it to kill everything in the game. Good tip about Revali's gale. I had my slate in NG+ on my playthrough, so it probably works either way. Not entirely sure what causes the slate cutscene to automatically play sometimes. For what it's worth I just didn't touch anything , watched the cutscene, and let the autosave play out before messing around.
Great tutorial! Your breakdown was great but I think this might be a little too complicated for me lol 😅. I was hoping for an easy way to duplicate arrows so I could get max number 😅
Using IST makes all this possible now with a fraction of the work. I think I'll be doing a proper, modern inventory corruption tutorial when I get back from vacation.
Well, just don’t put the console to sleep if it’s a Wii U. Wiis close the game when turned off or sent to home. Anyway, I once attempted memory storage 3 times. 1, it crashed while I was playing. 2, it accused me of removing the game while I was sleeping. 3, I somehow died and also somehow hit reload while sleeping. So someone on discord made me a Bow of Light file. The game they gave me for some reason has a permanent save at the Shrine of Resurrection. So that means I get 4 auto saves, 1 save I can overwrite, and 1 that is permanent. That means I can go back and watch Link stab his forehead with a Royal Guard Claymore as many times as I want!
@@ElDuende05 Yeah. I remember when I had a Wii. It sadly broke one of the times I wanted to play Wii Sports though. I don’t know if the eject button got stuck or what, but it started immediately ejecting. So I won’t be able to get skyward sword for that. At least HD is coming soon. I do like how the Nintendo Switch doesn’t quit on you in sleep mode unless it dies. Xbox 1 sometimes does, and Xbox 360 and Wiis always do. The memory storage glitch is also pretty cool. Also, I’ve seen the save softlock. I forgot to activate moon jump the second failed time in memory storage, so I was curious what the softlock was. It just gets stuck in saving mode forever.
Rn am on my way to getting a durability up hylian shield on a no-save run, and I did some research on the secret xp system, and the requirements for the hylian shield are crazy, I even made a list of all the monsters I have to kill, but it's such a long task that I really think it's not worth it xD
I provided a link in this video’s description to an interactive XP tracker that you can use. Just make a copy, check off enemies as you play, and it’ll let you know your XP level automatically.
@@ElDuende05 Thanks! After commenting I actually ended up finding another of your videos where you explained the fastest way to get xp, but anyways I'm currently at 7000 or something like that, and I still can beat 2 blights, silver lynels and other silver enemies, so I think I'll be done by tomorrow
Nice! Hold onto a copy of your 1160 Hylian shield in your house for safekeeping once you get it. I’ll be covering how to use that for further corruption later. You might also consider using IST and the wall mount method covered here to transfer the shield to another file while leaving the chest unopened in case we discover other uses for different types of Hylian shield later.
I'm a little confused. At 12:05 you say that the forest dwellers swords will receive shield durability, but they don't even show up in the end. Is that because the footge is spliced and you just chose other weapons?
I recorded the inventory preparation separately on my main profile since I didn't record the footage during my original memory storage run. You can see the weapons I actually ended up using for my memory storage run at 36:45.
Tysm for the awesome tutorial! Btw, how did you get 140 ancient arrows during your no-death run? Did you collect all from the same chest? I thought Robbie's Research can't be done without talking to Impa.
Amazing video. Question, if you defeat DBG on the no-death run with your exact inventory setup, will your NG+ file have the hylian shield's durability transferred onto one weapon and one bow, with 80000 normal arrows in your inventory? I'm asking because I'd be fine calling it quits right there haha.
That is correct. I think you can just save and load after starting NG+ take advantage of your crazy new inventory if you don’t care to do the chaining portion.
You can, although after thinking about it you may need to do up through the first inventory upgrade to get the weapon durability since by default the glitched durability transfers into one of the locked slots. You would have one stack of glitched arrows, a glitched bow, and the BoL right from the start though.
If you do decide to, there are some other tutorials on my channel you might want to check out beforehand. In particular I recommend checking out the Hylian Shield++ guide as it requires memory storage too.
Hey! I followed this video and i thought everything worked perfectly... all my arrows were maxxed and i knew for sure the shield dura transfered to my weapons because they didnt have the little shine particle... but it didnt seem to transfer to my bows. After duping one of them it seemed to have the durability before i did inventory corruption chaining. Is it possible it just transfered to some of my bows? or to my weapons and not my bows? unsure.
That shouldn’t happen. Did you upgrade all 5 weapon upgrades before you did the bow one last at the end? If you do bow then the 5 weapon upgrades it might cause that?
just making sure. if i go and fight DBG after i do the glitch, I keep the bow of light still right. just want to check and make sure before I go and do it and possibly lose it
Uh while I did this glitch I simultaneously obtained luigi in mario 64, found mew under the truck in pokemon red, unlocked knuckles in the first sonic and got sonic in smash bros 64.
I feel dumb and it does say optionally but what is with and what do you mean exactly with the cooking 30 minute tier 3 speed food on pre-memory storage on a normal mode file? I'm new to trying this out and I'm understanding most of what's going on but the wording to this confuses me a bit and it don't see this circled back to our explained in other videos. Also you say set up was in master mode but this is done in normal mode. Can I just get recipe of exactly what I should just make 30 of? 😂 sorry I'm rambling now but yeah... I'm stuck on this and confused, help please and thank yous 🙏🙇♂️
For some reason after I did the glitch, I did the trial of the sword and got the rest of the towers and my bomb arrows got reset back to 999 and they definitely had 80000 before
@@ElDuende05 since the durability buff has a hidden variable stat, don’t suppose there is a way to check the shields durability without damaging it? I was thinking menu overload duplication and check the duplicates durability. Not sure if that would work. If you have another idea on durability checking I would really like to hear it.
That’s how it’s done. Flag transfer, then item dup, then you know the exact durability. You can then use the fact that sorting items orders higher durability ones higher to make deductions about the new ones you pick up. Sorts lower? Not worth testing. Sorts higher? Worth testing.
@@ElDuende05 thanks for the help. One last thing, as far as I know the buff modifiers increase with enemy kill EXP. would completing the Divine Beasts mess with anything? Or should I stick to killing non boss enemies only for EXP? Thanks again for the help.
Empty slots are skipped over as if they’re not there. If you’ve accidentally acquired one too many slots or picked up arrows you didn’t expect, just empty they weapon slot or shoot all the arrows of that type.
I have a doubt, how can you keep the thunder helm in the important thing and also give it to riju? to make the divine beast because it tells me to look for it even if I have it with the transfer flag
If you’re trying to get a duplicate helm you might not be able to via flag transfer. it’s possible you have to loot the chest in order to set the quest progress flag there, preventing a duplicate from being collected. What you can do instead is start eventide storage and then talk to Riju. This should advance the quest, but you’ll get the helm back after exiting eventide storage as long as you looted it before you visited eventide.
Question, is there any particular reason why after the desync, you end up with 80,000 arrows specifically? Is it somehow related to the Durability of the Hylian Shield?
Yes, the durability of the shield correlates directly into your arrow count at a rate of 100x the shield durability. This means if you get a hylian shield with 1160 durability during ms, you can then use it to chain during NG+ for 116k arrows.
@@ElDuende05 Thanks for the reply! That’s awesome! Took unbelievable amounts of effort to get the Hylian Shield with Maxed Durability the first time, but this makes me want to do it again!
Does this still work? lol I’m confused because if you can’t take a picture during the no save run, how would you be able to view a memory to start autosaving again, as you have to do the “locked memories” quest to unlock a memory. 😢 Side note; love your videos my guy! 🫡Can’t wait to see more totk content
I don't have a capture card, so all of this was done in maximum 30 second segments (Switch limitation). If there's a specific sequence you're confused by I can try to post a more raw version, assuming I still have the footage. I'd still have to splice it together from the individual clips if it's longer than 30 seconds though.

@@vixboxgames8120 if you're still struggling you could also go to Klerics video on this. He goes a bit more in depth about the exact timing you need to activate the memory storage glitch
I don't know but i also don't know if you would have the patience to kill at least 10 of each enemy including lynels. This is necessary for the game to start giving you modifiers to equipment.
Absolutely. You can even use flag transfer and item duplication to measure the durability of your shield and ensure you have the absolute maximum to guarantee 116k arrows of each type.
If your chain is broken you need to load back to before it was if you still have a save from earlier. Otherwise you’re unfortunately past the point where it can be fixed and stuck with whatever rewards you’ve already reaped.
Are you able to duplicate the hylian shield and get that many bow slots, and then have the de sync? Would that do all the arrows at the same time without all the work after new game plus?
You can only corrupt one type of arrow per iteration of the chain. It uses your equipped shield, so having more won't increase the rate at which you can do that.
For some reason, i just can't press the view memory button after pressing load. It has taken me 5 hours to get the view memory screen, and this has happened twice..
I would try the new IST based glitches. This one is still a fun challenge and does in fact work, but IST is much easier in general and can get you everything this can.
I died during the eventide storage and I can't teleport to the TM from the shrine of resurrection. I have nothing in my inventory, do I have to start over
Ok it seems you can get your stuff back even if you die during Eventide, it's just a royal pain. You have to make your way to Eventide without picking anything up and without teleporting. Once you do, your whole inventory will be returned to you as expected. I had Moon Jump active with a wrong warp setup at Eventide since I was trying to activate Eventide Storage when I originally died. I took my eyes off the screen for a few seconds and a fire chu had set me on fire, from which I had no way to recover by the time I heard the warning sound. When I spawned into the SoR I was at a quarter heart with nothing in my inventory, including key items. What I did in this case was to actually head to Hyrule Castle. I entered via the West Passage, since that leads to a room with a hot spring. Using this I was able to heal enough so that if I drowned my wrong warp moved me straight to Eventide, at which point the Monk returned my stuff. I'm guessing your situation is different, but if you can make it to Eventide without warping / picking anything up you should be good to go.
One other thing, I died several times trying to make my way back. As long as you perform a load check each time you start at the SoR, you can try again as many times as you want.
Is it possible to recover if you die during the dark beast fight during the no save run? I put the BoL in the first slot on accident, and killed myself to try to recover by doing the eventide thing, but didn't know that the dark beast fight still continues, making me unable to tp.
You can walk to eventide and use cryonis to cross the water, just don’t collect anything. Having said that, I’m not sure what your final result might be, and the BoL might still be locked in slot 1 unless you have a way to sort it later (high damage multi shot bow, perhaps)
@@ElDuende05 Thanks a ton man! I'll be sure to do some testing later. I'm also wondering what will happen afterwards, will the dark beast fight still be active, or will the overworld be returned to a previous state? Or is the trigger at eventide still there during the fight? I'll do a bit of testing cause it's interesting I guess. I'm fine with losing my progress, I've got all summer to do this, I'm more interested in testing above all else.
Let us know what you find; I’m definitely curious too. I know you have to be careful not to die in areas with environmental damage (hot or cold) or those effects can persist through the reset and kill you in the SoR before you can escape. This might be another place we have to be careful.
1:10 the start of the hatano village music lined up and went perfectly with the music from another game I have open, so I thought somehow it was coming from that and I was VERY confused
After pressing "Load save" and then "View memory" I thought I soft locked when the white from watching a memory came and the screen went back to the "Load save" screen. Then I realised that I could "Skip the memory" while stuck there. Then the menu closed and my screen was black. The hearts etc. were still there. Even the minimap. I wasn't on it though. (The yellow little arrow wasn't on it). I couldn't open menus or do anything except quit the game. Quite a strange experience.
Does anyone know, does this mean you cannot get the camera tune during the no save run from the little girl? So can’t upgrade the bomb and other runes there since you would be forced to save a picture when the girl makes you take a picture of her?
I am doing another run, got the 1,160 durability Hylian Shield this time. The problem I'm having now is the birdman research at 28:08. I've made 11 attempts and have not been able to escape Eventide, it's taking me about 50 minutes per attempt. Am I doing something wrong or am I just incredibly unlucky?
Just incredibly unlucky I think. It took me 2 tries when I did it, which seems to match most people’s experience from what I’ve heard. I have had a couple commenters complain about this though. Unfortunately we don’t yet understand exactly what causes this.
Good luck though. Have you been checking your corruption chain is still active periodically up to this point? You’re close to the end once you get past that part.
@@ElDuende05 I was busy all day. Got back and got it to work the first time lol. Now I'm all done with the glitch and have 116,000 of each arrow, thanks so much for the tutorials.
@@ElDuende05 - jesus me. i completely overlooked the unequipping shield variable. you are very thorough, my friend. For this, i am thankful. Also, i appreciate the quick response.
You may have accidentally synced your inventory prematurely. If you have a save file from before that while corruption is still active you could try loading from there and trying again.
Hey, I'm crazy enough to try this glitch a SECOND time to do something, and I'd like to ask your thoughts on how to get around one hiccup -no save file all 124 spirit orbs -new game+ with eventually 248 spirit orbs total -the shrine quest that requires va Ruta (water) gives you Zora armor Is there a way around this so I can obtain all theoretical 248 spirit orbs without getting two sets of Zora armor?
You can activate eventide storage before receiving the second Zora Armor, then when you exit you’ll only have the original one. I should mention though that there is a cap on spirit orbs of 124, so you can’t get more than that.
Closing the menu will sync your inventory, so to avoid that you can return to title and then reload your save after verifying your chain is still active.
At which point? If you mean to set up your MJWW, you must warp to the travel medallion, but its location on your setup file doesn’t matter. It will lock your respawn coordinates on the NG+ file at the medallion coordinates on that file.
@@ElDuende05 At 34:01 you say setup a wrong warp at the Gorae Torr Shrine. How do you get there because you said closing a menu will resync your inventory.
Would it be possible to get more than one traveller’s medallion using the same method to grab Hestu’s Maracas? I know you wouldn’t have the warp straight to Eventide the first time but you could maybe walk/moon jump over to it without dying right?
If you pick up a second travelers medallion, you can only keep one. This also happens with other key items (except seeds and orbs because they have counters), including hestu’s maracas. This is why you must first return them before looting the second copy; if you did it in the other order you’d lose the copy.
how do I prevent link from automatically picking up the sheikah slate when i begin new game+ ? I don't move and as soon as the game starts the cutscene for him to grab it happened.
I’ve heard that from people. As I recall, what I did was watch the intro cutscene through to the end without skipping and then wait for the autosave without touching any joysticks or buttons.
Dangit I've tried to escape Eventide 4 times now, and I really thought I had it the last time when the game autosaved and I could control Link, but then the monk still talked to me 2 seconds later! What on earth can I do to better my odds?
Nothing is known, unfortunately. It might be possible, after he calls you back, to drown and be wrong warped under the map near the origin. I'm not sure if this will work or not, but you might be able to start jumping immediately when you're brought back near the origin and gradually work your way toward the plateau. Theoretically if you get close enough the slate cutscene should warp you back aboveground. I still need to test this myself.
El Duende 05 Holy crap I finally did it after 6 tries in total! The monk still talked to me but I followed what you said and drowned at Eventide which took me underneath central Hyrule. Navigating around lake Kolomo was challenging and I really thought Zelda f*ked me up when she gave me the "Follow the Shiekah Slate" quest and made Link drop to the water, but I was still able to jump back up! The water mesh around the Great Plateau is like a complex labyrinth, but eventually I made it through! Thank you so much for the tip!
Why when you drown when the gut check challenge you wrong warp to eventide, before you set wrong warp to the gut check shrines. Is it because you put the travel medallion?
Wrong warp is a bit weird. What happens is you activate MJ then warp to the travel medallion *from* a target location. This makes all saves made until MJ is deactivated load at the target location, but as a side effect also causes you to respawn from void outs at the travel medallion.
@@gungangga163 To set up the wrong warp you warp to the travel medallion from Gut Check Rock. By doing that not only will your game load in at the target wrong warp location, you'll respawn from void outs at your travel medallion, wherever it is on whichever file you're playing. When you switch back to your NG+ file on normal mode, void outs will therefore take you to Eventide since you have placed your medallion there, even if you didn't warp to it on that difficulty.
Im a Little confuse on one matter to have the Hylian Shield Durability you gotta finish the game with 13 Weapons Slot and 6 Bows Slot that i understand The part i don't understand is Once you finish Ganon and start the save file when it autosaves and you load that file the Durability of the Shield transfers there to the last 5 weapons or do i need to do the whole wrong warp and get them one by one so you can get them with the durability transfer of the shield
You can get one set of 80k arrows (I believe it would be ancient) and one bow at 800 durability, but the weapon it transfers to is only in the glitched inventory initially. In order to obtain that weapon you need to go through the process far enough to purchase your first weapon upgrade while in eventide storage. At this point however, the incremental cost to get the rest of the weapons and arrows is quite minimal, so you may as well go the rest of the way.
@@ElDuende05 yes i follow every step of the video jaja it's very long glitch but the result is amazing i got every 80K of Arrows and 800 Durability for weapons and Bow now im transfering that Durability to every weapon and Bow i find. I know it wasn't easy 4 you so i appreciate everytging you did in this video must taken you lots of hours or days playing editing and Explaining step by step now for true players to get the Hylian Shield with Durability Up+ must really be time consuming considering you gotta have more than 9415 points in the game to get it specially in a No Save Run but must be worth it having Durability of 1160 and over 116K of Arrows 😅😅
Is it possible to access robbie's tech lab in the no-save run? i want to get an ancient bow before ending the run but it appears to be impossible without taking a photo of purah.
It's been a while, but I think if you only care about one bow and one arrow type you can skip Hestu's Maracas / Korok Seeds during Memory Storage, then shoot your bow once at the start of NG+ after it autosaves. You won't receive any corrupt weapons this way since since they're all in hidden slots until later. Unfortunately, if you also want a corrupt weapon, you'll have to do the rest of the guide up through and including Hestu's first upgrade in order for the weapons to show up in your regular inventory. This will only cut out the last series of upgrades, at which point I'd recommend just completing the full chain, honestly.
You can put the console to sleep even during the no-save run if you need a break. Specifically, it is ok to tap (but not press and hold) the power button so the screen turns off. Just don't close the game or hold the power button to turn the console completely off. Once you get into NG+ and the first autosave completes in the Shrine or Resurrection, you are safe to power down the console should you choose since the game will have saved.
Hi, a bit late but wanted to ask before I roll the dice, when my inventory is desynced u said I need to switch to master mode, but that is requireing me to open the menu, switch to the currect tab and then going to title screen and then switch. Does doing any of those ruin the glitch? or sync the inventory back? if they do, then how do I switch to master mode? thanks for the vid btw
As long as you already have your autosave during ng+ and that safe still has a desynced inventory you should be able to return to title to switch over temporarily to master mode.
I've already snatched the bow of light but i wanted to know abt the hold prompt storage glitch. Glitch where you can hold anything even those items you cant hold like the paraglider or spirit orbs but i don't know how to do it. I know it's kinda the same with the memory storage but idk what to do pls helpto those who know
@@ElDuende05 i've been reading through discord and reddit too. I've seen someone explained it but it's kinda hard to picture unlike the memory storage glitch that have in depth tutorial 😅
If you mean after Branli warps you to the tower, It doesn't actually matter. Either selection will cause you to be warped back to Eventide immediately, at which point you'll want to reload and try again.
@@ElDuende05 thxx for the info, and I have another question. So, I want to have the hylian++ shield ( im sorry it out of topic) and I already at xp when the Lynel starts becoming silver and then im stuck at that. So do you have any suggestion to farm some xp?
You can still earn XP from the lower level lynels that spawn in on Mount Ploymus and the 2 gatehouses since those are fixed at reed, blue, and white respectively. If you’re on master mode you can also get gold lynels afterward. In between blood moons I’d farm guardians and bosses.
I've failed the no-save run multiple times, but every time, it's always something new that plagues me. Currently, the game doesn't allow me to press the "Return to Title Screen" button, so I'm afraid I can't do Flag Transfer for this attempt. I'm considering to get a Game Over to forcefully go to the Title Screen, but I'm not sure if it will solve the button issue. Anyone had this happen? The only time it seems to be pressable is when I warp to a Sheikah Tower, but this is useless for what I'm trying to do, which is Flag Transfer, namely for chests, Spirit Orbs, and Korok Seeds.
That’s a new one… If you can hop into my discord server and post a small clip of your problem there it might help to figure out what is wrong. The invite’s on my about page.
@@ElDuende05 I got into the Discord, but before asking any more, I wanted to test my idea; I was correct about it. After warping to the Gerudo Tower, I went into the little cave with some treasure chests. I was really there to just get the Radiant Shield for efficient shield surfing, but after realizing I recently teleported to a tower and that I was near a chest, I did flag transfer to get what was in the chest and was able to return to title screen. After getting my stuff back from Eventide, it stopped being a problem. It may have only been a problem since I pressed Continue after dying earlier on the Great Plateau.
Do you mean the searching for text shows up too briefly or that it doesn't display at all? Also, is this the first one from the compendium or the second one from the map screen?
El Duende, just a question. If i keep all my bow inventory full and defeat ganon it will save the bow of light slot? I want to have all the available slots in the save file, its possible?
Unfortunately no. The slot is only available during the DBG fight and will not carry over. This also means you need to ensure you have some space if you want to keep the BoL in NG+.
I have seen two videos sort slightly confuse. Is this glitch showing me how to have bow of light and 80k arrows in master mode? Or is it not possible to have this in master mode.
Can’t get them in master mode, sadly. You can do the glitch there but it’ll convert into normal mode at the end. You will need master mode to set up some other glitches (wrong warp etc) later on, but that’s not the file which will end up with the BoL or arrows.
I don’t understand how you had a save file on Normal mode that was 100%, then all the sudden after beating Ganon on the no-save run, you’re in the shrine of resurrection in ur original normal mode file.. but at the start of the game. i thought botw didn’t have NG+? can you start a new game on the same file that u beat ganon on?
@@ElDuende05 I think I figured it out.. made my comment beforehand and forgot to delete it, sorry about that! Thanks for eventually replying tho :) and ofc thanks for the videos
i died during nosave and pressed continue, i lost my progress, but i was pretty early in the game so i didn't lose too much, will this screw up anything later?
If you’ve lost your paraglider, that may break ng+ if you’re going for inventory corruption. There might be other knock-on effects as well, but I distinctly remember at least one person commenting that they regretted it later even though everything seemed fine at the time.
@@ElDuende05 i didn't lose my paraglider, because i hadn't finished the great plateau yet, so i think i'll just keep going until something is clearly wrong
so is this only to get so many arrows, or does it effect the durability of your five slots to that of the arrow count/durability x100 too? further. do you have any tips on getting to the max monster kill number for the best shield upgrade? or is it just kill stuff? or can you kill ganon 10 times on your no death before you activate NGP? thank you :)
This will get you 80,000 of each arrow, 5 weapons each with 800 durability, and 6 bows each with 800 durability (799 weapon and bow durability can then be transferred to any other desired weapons or bows later). You can get this up to 116k / 1160 / 1159 if you farm for a max durability Lynel shield during memory storage. As for farming for enemies you have to kill a bunch of enemies up to 10 times each. Sadly, DBG only gives XP once (and you can't get his XP during memory storage). The blights only give XP in the Divine Beast (and not the castle) and during their rematches during the Ballad of Champions, once each. Kohga and Maz Koshia also only grant XP once. Everybody else can be done 10x, but I'd focus on Lynels and Guardians to maximize my XP gains after doing the aforementioned bosses.
You can open the menu and immediately return to title that way. It is the act of closing the menu that syncs your inventory, oddly.
Lucky for us though :)
@@ElDuende05 hey. You said I could back up save data at 18:30. That closes the game, should I do that
@@Chronas264 You shouldn't backup your save during memory storage.
I watched YuDa and Kinak personally figure their way around chained inventory corruption, and I consciously thought "I'm not going to cover this."
I hope this video does well for you, because this sure was a hell of a lot of work.
Thank you. It means a lot to me to hear you say that!

That is A LOT of work. Great video!
It was a lot, but I'm glad you liked it.

finally my dream of transferring the hylian shields durability
to weapons is finally here!
interesting fact: when you get the fully upgraded master sword its durability stays at 60,
but it takes hits less harder.
like before the trial of the sword, it takes a hit at 1 and has 59
but after trial of the sword it takes hits at 1/4 so its durability is now at 59 3/4
so if you give a upgraded hylian shields durability to the master sword
it should last so long you won't need any other weapons
(btw i wrote this at 2:00 in the morning so if it docent make total sense I'm sorry)
I think it only takes 1/5 of a durability point so it will last even longer. It’s pretty overpowered.

Im gonna soon crack botw on my pc, so thanks for showing us that!
Hopefully this helps :)

This is a whole new level
You can even do this with 1160 durability and 116k arrows! I haven't gotten around to that yet...
When Kleric recommended you, I knew it would be awesome 👏
I appreciate the feedback. I’m just glad people are finding my videos helpful.
Just wanna leave a headsup about some things that spooked me that weren't mentioned in the video to my knowledge:
- When you start NG+, you'll be naked.
This is great information. Thanks for compiling it here; this should help people a lot.
In particular I’ve heard the scaling XP thing before, but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how much XP carries over / what sources they’re from. My guess is DBG and a few other things carry over, perhaps one time bosses like the blights or kohga?
Thanks for the video. Now i understand this glitch great content

I even took the time to get the durability+ hylian shield to have 100,000+ of all the arrows with 1000+ durability on all weapons, bows and shields. Thank you for this guide I've watched it more than any other video now.

After completing a full inventory corruption chain all of your bows will have super durability. Enjoy your neatly infinite supply of arrows!
Also, congratulations on your achievement!
A couple of notes:
-If you get Revali's Gale, DISABLE it in the no-save run.
@@ElDuende05 Makes sense that the flag is reset, thanks for the tutorial!

Besides the light arrow you can use a different bow and an ancient arrow
Thanks for the warning. This is helpful for Wii U players, since I only play on switch and sleeping the console is safe there.
@@ElDuende05 Yeah. I remember when I had a Wii. It sadly broke one of the times I wanted to play Wii Sports though. I'm a little confused. At 12:05 you say that the forest dwellers swords will receive shield durability, but they don't even show up in the end. Is that because the footge is spliced and you just chose other weapons?

Tysm for the awesome tutorial! Btw, how did you get 140 ancient arrows during your no-death run? Did you collect all from the same chest? I thought Robbie's Research can't be done without talking to Impa.
That clip is probably from my regular save, but you can use flag transfer on the 5 ancient arrow chest in Hyrule Castle to load up on arrows.
@@ElDuende05 Thank you!
So if we do it to just one weapon and bow, we can still do durability transfers?
You can, although after thinking about it you may need to do up through the first inventory upgrade to get the weapon durability since by default the glitched durability transfers into one of the locked slots. You would have one stack of glitched arrows, a glitched bow, and the BoL right from the start though.
I think I might buy the dlc again on a different account just to do this crazy stuff.
Don’t forget the 4 secret level exits in Super Mario World to get *100 completion.
Held out for a julian shield with durability up and got 108400 arrows
For some reason after I did the glitch, I did the trial of the sword and got the rest of the towers and my bomb arrows got reset back to 999 and they definitely had 80000 before
I figured it out. If you open a chest that has arrows in it, that kind of arrow that was in the chest will get put back to 999
That’s how fixable with IST, fortunately. I’ll explain that soon.
@@ElDuende05 ok sweet
Could this glitch be used to create some unholy hybrid between the guard up and durability up hylian shield?
Indeed it can. Flag transfer as I showed here with Hestu’s Maracas works with the Hylian shield chest too
@@ElDuende05 since the durability buff has a hidden variable stat, don’t suppose there is a way to check the shields durability without damaging it?
I beat all 4 on my original ms run, so I can confirm it’s fine to do so.
Do empty slots are taken into account by the memory? For exemple, if I have 3 bows out of the five slots, do the two left empty still count?
@@ElDuende05 im gonna try it thanks!
Someone had enough time to discover this
my geuss after clerics vid: you do it MULTIPLE TIMES IN A ROW
You only need to do 1 run through memory storage, but you do need to do a bit of preparation then and some things during NG+.

I don't have a capture card, so all of this was done in maximum 30 second segments (Switch limitation). If there's a specific sequence you're confused by I can try to post a more raw version, assuming I still have the footage. I'd still have to splice it together from the individual clips if it's longer than 30 seconds though.

@@vixboxgames8120 There's an unedited version of the memory prompt portion at 3:53 here. You can set the playback speed to 0.75 or 0.5x in order to be able to see what's happening a bit clearer.
The basic sequence is:
1. Y and Plus, A, A, Up, A, Minus (before searching disappears)
2. L, L, Hover over side quest, Y, Move to an unselected search option (take your time on all of this)
3. A, A
4. brief pause allowed here
5. A, Right and A (before searching disappears, very fast)
And a more detailed breakdown is as follows:
0a. Verify side quest is selected, and if you press right it highlights a valid memory.
0b. Hover over travel medallion, then open compendium.
1a. Y and Plus (searching text appears), A, A, Up, A, Minus (before searching text disappears)
1b. (if you haven't placed medallion before replace A, A, Up, A with just A, A)
1c. (if the game exits the menu for even a single frame, start over)
2a. L, L, Hover over side quest (take your time)
2b. Y, Move to an unselected search option (take your time)
3a. A, A (searching text appears)
3b. (if searching text disappears before step 5, start from 2b)
4. brief pause allowed here
5a. A, Right and A (before searching disappears, very fast, slight delay between the two groups)
5b. (if you see view memory in normal gameplay, you've succeeded)
5c. (if you see view memory for a split second, but it disappears right away, you were very close, but Right and A were a frame or so too slow)
5d. Otherwise, open your menu and check it:
- on sidequest tab, quest selected: both Right and A were too early or too late
- on sidequest tab, quest deselected: Right was too early, A was on time
- on memory tab, quest selected: A was too late
- on memory tab, quest deselected: You hit A before Right
For #4 if you wait too long and searching disappears, you can still hit Y and move to the other search option and then resume from 3

I already got it and finished but thanks
Could you get MORE arrows if you got a durability up hylian shield?
I don't know but i also don't know if you would have the patience to kill at least 10 of each enemy including lynels. This is necessary for the game to start giving you modifiers to equipment.
Absolutely. You can even use flag transfer and item duplication to measure the durability of your shield and ensure you have the absolute maximum to guarantee 116k arrows of each type.
Sry for asking so many questions but what do I do if my arrow chain is broken
I have nothing in my inventory, do I have to start over
That literally just happened to me. I will let you know in a few minutes when I get back to eventide. Hold tight.
@@ElDuende05 eh thanks man, I'll try it and let you know if it worked
Is your situation similar? I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to use my paraglider since it wasn’t in my inventory and I was kinda stuck in moon jump.
This whole thing is so convoluted and just barely works, i wouldnt be surprised if some dev snuck in these bugs just as a challenge

You may have accidentally synced your inventory prematurely. If you have a save file from before that while corruption is still active you could try loading from there and trying again.

-new game+ with eventually 248 spirit orbs total
-the shrine quest that requires va Ruta (water) gives you Zora armor
Is there a way around this so I can obtain all theoretical 248 spirit orbs without getting two sets of Zora armor?
You can activate eventide storage before receiving the second Zora Armor, then when you exit you’ll only have the original one. I should mention though that there is a cap on spirit orbs of 124, so you can’t get more than that.
Why would you want 248 spirit orbs

If you pick up a second travelers medallion, you can only keep one. This also happens with other key items (except seeds and orbs because they have counters), including hestu’s maracas.
Why u not answering🥲 im close to do the inventory corruption just need to get 1160 hylian shield. I need your answer because im too scared😔
Wrong warp is a bit weird. What happens is you activate MJ then warp to the travel medallion *from* a target location. This makes all saves made until MJ is deactivated load at the target location, but as a side effect also causes you to respawn from void outs at the travel medallion.
@@ElDuende05 but before doing the gut check challange you MJWW to the shrine, what does trigger when you void out you WW to the eventide?
@@gungangga163 To set up the wrong warp you warp to the travel medallion from Gut Check Rock. By doing that not only will your game load in at the target wrong warp location, you'll respawn from void outs at your travel medallion, wherever it is on whichever file you're playing. When you switch back to your NG+ file on normal mode, void outs will therefore take you to Eventide since you have placed your medallion there, even if you didn't warp to it on that difficulty.

You can get one set of 80k arrows (I believe it would be ancient) and one bow at 800 durability, but the weapon it transfers to is only in the glitched inventory initially.

Sadly it’s not possible for the exact reason you discovered; it would require taking a photo and would thus reenable saving.
So assuming i just want one unbreakable weapon and one unbreakable bow and dont care about the arrows what would i need to do different?
Are there any points after the No-Save Run where you can save and close the game if a break is needed?
You can put the console to sleep even during the no-save run if you need a break. Specifically, it is ok to tap (but not press and hold) the power button so the screen turns off. Just don't close the game or hold the power button to turn the console completely off.
Once you get into NG+ and the first autosave completes in the Shrine or Resurrection, you are safe to power down the console should you choose since the game will have saved.
the final save file on which i'll have the bow of light will be a normal mode or a master mode save file?

You can still earn XP from the lower level lynels that spawn in on Mount Ploymus and the 2 gatehouses since those are fixed at reed, blue, and white respectively. If you’re on master mode you can also get gold lynels afterward. In between blood moons I’d farm guardians and bosses.

There is, but they require either modding your switch or emulation on PC. This method can be done directly on the vanilla game.
This glitch lets you effectively have NG+. I recommend watching the full video to understand it.
Nice. You might be ok to go on then. If things go well for you let us know so the next person this happens to can benefit from your experience :D
so is this only to get so many arrows, or does it effect the durability of your five slots to that of the arrow count/durability x100 too? further. do you have any tips on getting to the max monster kill number for the best shield upgrade? or is it just kill stuff? or can you kill ganon 10 times on your no death before you activate NGP? thank you :)
@@ElDuende05 gotcha thank you very much!!

So at 36:53, the master sword and the 4 weapons after it get 800(or 80000?) durability?
I think they technically get 799.99 durability, but that translates to 800 hits if you test it out (warning, this takes a while).
