Do you clean your throttle body? How often and what method?
You probably dont give a shit but if you are bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother lately =)
@Cody Jasper yea, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
I just did it on my moms car for the first time since 2012, idle went from super touch to silky smooth
Quick tip to clean the inside of the throttle body put the Ignition forward and have Some one push the gas pedal this opens up the throttle.
True, that is the only way to open an electronically driven throttle body. Thanks for the tip!
What?
Techron fuel injection cleaner works best to clean up after throttle body was cleaned. It cleans injectors too. Water remover is good too.
Great content bro 👍🏼
I’d be really grateful if you do a video on how to clean the fuel injectors and cylinders on a Toyota Corolla 2013 without having to dissemble the engine. The type of cleaning where you just use the pressure cleaners that you hang on the hood of your car, and the borescope to check the amount of build up in the cylinders.
You could also do it on this car too if the 2013 Corolla is not accessible; because their engines look pretty similar.
Thank you so much bro, for taking the time to read my message; I’ll be looking forward to seeing the video.
Thanks! I'll see if I can make a video on that topic, great suggestion.
You should also push the flap open inside the throttle body and clean where the flap rest. There is usually a build up there that cant be cleaned unless you open the flap. wiping it with a rag after spraying it is usually good enough. Sometimes you might have to also spray some on the rag.
Good point
This right here is exactly what fixed my car. I was almost stalling while in drive at a stop sign, and it completely fixed it.
I have a 2013 Toyota Corolla S. Recently I feel like it's been having a hard time accelerating when speeding up and when I release my foot off the gas and the speed is dropping, it doesn't feel like a smooth decline in speed. It's hard to explain but it feels like the engine has a lot of force/pressure when increasing/decreasing in speed. Other than that it drives smooth and doesn't hesitate or jerk/vibrate. Already changed air filter and cleaned MAF sensor. Hoping cleaning the throttle body will work..
Did it work I'm having the same problem on my 98 Corolla
@@JuanRodriguez-gj5zk you should still try it on your Corolla since it’s an older version it’ll need the maintenance if you’ve not done it before. Cleaning The cam sensors, MAF sensors, and intake filter as well as even getting a new intake filter will definitely help with performance. I did it on my 2009 Corolla and you can tell the difference especially since the previous owner didn’t do maintenance on it whatsoever lol
Nice Thank you for taking your time to make the Video👍🏼
The hose was extremely hard to remove, had to get 2 people to remove the air filter end off first, pry that off, then pry the other end off the throttle body. This is with the tightening brackets unscrewed and loose.
Yeah sometimes rubber hoses tend to get very stuck. Glad you got it off.
My word! Mechanics in my country spray whilst the car is running and there is no wiping that takes place. Is that ok??
Yes I've done it that way too. The only issue is some cars will stall with the intake tube off. Running actually gets it cleaner.
Takes 5 minutes to just remove and clean it properly
Nice! You make it look easy.
Thanks!
How long does it take to dry, and should I leave the hose off while it does?
Depending on how much you flushed through there about half an hour.
I have 2010 toyota corolla. similar throttle body top right cornar there is a screw hidden in a glue type material.
can you please tell me, what is the function of that. and how it help in adjusting a specific parameter?
I have observed that changing the position of that screw make throttal pedal to respond differently and effect the drivability .
I have an issue of poor idling. throttle body is cleaned. every possibility has been checked but could not fix the issue.
Hmmm I'm not familiar with the 2010 engine but from what I understand there are no adjustments that can be made on that throttle body itself since it is controlled electronically by the engine PCM.
If you haven't done so yet, check for a vacuum leak.
Did you reset the computer idle (relearn the idle rpm)?
Throttle body nawi kitny ki ati ha
You’re better off just removing it once a year and cleaning it out. It’s not really difficult and mostly easily accessible.
True you get a more thorough clean if you take the whole thing off.
If I remove, do I need a torque wrench to tighten when I put it back on
