Bonus tip: the 10th gen Civic comes with pre-rolled rear fenders. Its possible to have the tucked look without the need to roll the rear fenders since the outer and inner sheet metal doesn't have the awkward L-shaped welds

I was truly expecting this video to suck and be worthless but... seriously man thanks for changing my mind. This is SO helpful if you're shopping for wheels. To my knowledge there is nothing out there to help with stuff like this. It's ridiculous.

Thanks to this video I made my final decision for my 9gen, I’m going with 17x8.0 instead of 18x8.0 to avoid that rubbing that I hate and the negative camber 😁
    Thanks.

JAA I bought vors tr4 17x8.0 35offset with 215-45-17 tires and is the perfect fitment for people that don’t like the rubbing like me.

    • @hiramgalarza9138

@GoonieGooGoo I think 50+ is too much. If the difference from 35 to 50 is 1/4 of an inch probably it won’t cause any rubbing problem.

Shouldn't have issues with that setup. Gearing towards performance vs looks.

Can someone prove that a 42700-TBA-A12 which is 7" wide maintain OE geometry on a 12 Civic LX. From what I've found it has the same offset of +45. Earlier this year I bought them a set of winters from a Mazda 3 on a very rare steel wheel with a +46 offset and a 67 center bore that seems to be wearing and steering properly with centering rings. It's just a DD and all the OE wheels are +45 so I'm hoping that that geometry would be the same for each trim level but I don't know jack.

Will the 10th gen wheels fit on a 9th gen? Specifically for a 2014 Honda Civic?

  • @lupita7563
    @lupita7563 4 месяца назад

Requesting public opinion: I’ve got a 10th gen Honda Civic Ext, I just bought Lexus RCF OEM rims, the spokes have a kinetic design that I like. Problem is they’re 19x9+35 front and staggered to 19x10+35 rear. We’ve concluded to modify the hub bore: Lexus and Honda are incompatible and put in slanted lug nuts to fit the knuckles tight, and a new air suspension.
    The problem or debate is:
Will the RWD tires look funky on FWD car?
Will the turn radius and gas consumption come back to haunt me with 9 and 10” width tires? I’ve stayed with the EX-T instead of switching to an SI for its fuel economy. It needs to also be safe to drive.
    👍🏽-you’re good, keep the rims
👎🏽-you’ll return it to stock by the end of the month.

Lol yes. From what I've gathered, most use 17x9 +35 in usually RPF1s or other enkei wheels or MB Battles for 8th gens. Liked the vid. Pretty spot on.

7th gen accord coupe? Only wheels I've seen that I really fck with are the esr sr01's, black with the gold rivets. Was looking at getting them in the 18x8.5's with a +30mm offset.

Hi fi, I have my civic 11th gen I changed the wheel from stock 16in to 18in, but the road noise is exceptionally loud at 100kmh onward, I have dig into so many article and videos into this problem but seem can’t get a true answer.
Here is some basic information, hope fi can give a clue what causing the loud noise: rims NK performance flow forming 18x8.5 et35, tyre: Goodyear eagle f1 sport 235/40/18 (asean market model).
I went few tyre shop to do inspection, nothing wrong with tyre, no defect, bearing is good, There’s few answer from them:
    1. The low offset causing wheel exceed fender like 15mm, it causing loud noise.
    2. The tyre is hard compound
    3. The tyre mount is stretched, causing the loss of sound proof.
    4. The rear camber is way too negative, causing the noise.
The car is three month old, no other mods is applied, hope there’s some great answer here^_^. Thank you.

Quick question: my stock tires are still relatively fresh. If I want to put new rims on them, what would the rim size have to be? (10th gen civic with 17"stock rims)
