OMG, this segment was hilarious, thanks for the laugh. Incidentally, ALL of you people commenting saying the lasagna was nothing special, I made it over the weekend and it was real yummy. Just a thought, before complaining about a recipe, why don't you try making it, then if you don't like it, you can legitimately complain about the taste.

Lasagna is idiot-proof and even my 20-something year old brother uses my family’s recipe when he wants to impress a girl.
True Italian Lasagna includes...
***Ricotta cheese (NOT COTTAGE CHEESE and not the cheap ricotta cheese that you can find places)
*** Fresh Parmesan Cheese that you may have to grate yourself or if you’re feeling dangerous a little fresh Parmesan and Romano cheese mix (not Kraft or whatever comes in a shake able bottle)
***GOOD tomato sauce-it doesn’t have to be homemade, but doctoring up a bottle of sauce can add a lot to a lasagna. My grandma could make generic sauce taste homemade
***Don’t overload each layer with cheese and sauce-that will just make it runny. Also DRY/DRAIN your noodles properly or simply use no boil noodles. Noodles should be “al dente” not mushy.
I personally like to include cheese tortellini layers in my lasagna. It adds a little extra to the dish, but it’s not necessary. Also, lasagna almost always tastes better the second day.
All of them would have felt my wrath. You don't mess with a brotha or a sista's food. That's when things get personal.

Noni R in don’t have to, it should be actual Bologna sauce with meat and not red sauce with sparse loose sausage; I also watched the recipe video they uploaded here and she uses ricotta which is a no no, it has to be béchamel sauce
habbogigi my family is from Sicily, and we use ricotta and red sauce. So there are many ways to make lasagna based on region.
You can be Italian all you want to be. We are American so we can do what we want too! Without some Italian approving of it!
