Is the AC adapter for the camera for 110volt AC only, or its support 220v too ? (in other words, what does its say about this on the adapter imprint)

You did not do the part of inserting the memory card? What kind of memory card you need? I was not able to play back any footage.
3 minute mark he mentioned the micro SD card. If you don’t know how to insert it. Just return the whole thing. It’s far too advanced for you.
What is not obvious to the novice is that you actually have to pull the base away from the unit to see the SD card and setup, and if you are visually impaired, it is white on white.
I do try to point this out more in newer videos, as many people do miss it.
Nice point. But at least in the Quick Start Guide there are pictures of the camera away from the base.
Can this be connected to multiple phones ?
Yes, you can share the cameras with another account but I would just say share your login. They will get more features than with sharing the camera to their account.

Yes you could. You could keep them all under one account or make an account for each house.

I have Lorex wireless setup. It’s good video quality but the batteries died in a week. I have 7 cameras., and batteries don’t died at the same time., I end up charging camera battery almost every day. I can’t go on vacation because few camera batteries will dies. I won’t see anything on my second week of vacation. All batteries are dead. So wire is good option, I changed it to Tend security, which is wire and it’s amazing. I just bought 3 Wyze Cam Version 3, I gotta do unboxing then set it up.
I really like these. I have the Wyze Outdoor Wireless Camera and it has been lasting me about 5-6 months per charge. I wonder if the Lorex cameras are recording 24/7 and if that's why it's killing the battery. Not sure but I've used Lorex for clients in the past and they were great. (But it was all wired Lorex cameras)
@@BigCVlogs it was recording whenever there’s a movement. The longest battery is 9 days., that’s in the backyard no movement at all. The rest of the cameras are in busier places.

I prefer power over the battery not a big fan of battery operated cameras.

No, you don't. Try turning off your mobile data and kill the Wyze app and reboot the camera. Then try to setup the camera again. That normally works.
Can you use V2 and V3 together in the same app?
Yes. They all use the Wyze app. Any cameras you app to your account all show up in the app.

Yes, when the camera detects motion it starts to record.

Can you use the camera on a different WiFi name since I planned to sale mine to a stranger to start using mine.
Yes, just delete the camera from your account and then hold the reset button. It can then be setup on a new account and new wifi.

Any recommendations for a battery backup?
For some reason my Wyze Cam is just flashing red and has weird static noises, I changed the power brick Voltage and also even used an adapter for 220 to 110v still doesn't work.
Can this be done using my iPhone hotspot only, I do not own a Wi-Fi router?
That would be really tricky... but I think it would work but only with an SD card in the camera. Once the camera is setup and the settings are in place, the device should locally to an SD Card but since it would not have the iPhone hotspot all the time, it would not send clips to the cloud. So if you installed an Micro SD card and enabled 24/7 recording in the settings, it would record and for you to view them you would have to enable your hotspot and should be able to view the history. This is my guess as I have never had a setup like this.

Thank you. Isn't it a shame that Wyze can't be bothered to publish a setup video? Their support site seems to have zero pix, zero videos for v3 mounting.
There's a HUGE community for their products. Lots of user videos. Not sure why you would need more? Lots of info on the Quick Start Guide and Looking around, I don't see many other companies having a video channel on how to setup their cameras. And mounting? So many different ways to do it. Egads... just can't.

Try to toggle your night vision settings or unplug the camera for 10 minutes and then plug it back in.
Bought 2, both froze, impossible to restard frozen on red light returned them

Friend, I looked at the manual, but I couldn't find it. This camera has onvif, can you record on DVR or NVR?
No, only to the cloud and the SD card. No DVR or NVR.
Just a suggestion in the future. Don't post qr codes generated for configuring devices like this (at the very least, blur them out. While it is somewhat encoded for the wyze cam stuff, it's still sending your wifi connection information, and less secure devices may not do that. Even still, eventually someone will figure out how to decode the wyze cam system to get the password eventually. Granted they likely would still have to be able to get your address to do any real harm, but the possibility is out there. Just informing you so you can try to stay safe. (While I don't think it's an immediate threat, you may want to change your wifi password just to be safe.)

Thanks for that information. That has honestly crossed my mind before but I wasn't sure of the threat levels myself. I think I'll blur them from now on.
@@BigCVlogs Like I said, unless the person knows where you live and feels like traveling there, it's not a super huge thing, but if you use that password anywhere else, it could cause problems also. If you feel unsafe with the fact you've shown the qr code, then it's easy to solve by just changing the wifi password. I would definitely suggest blurring it or not showing it in the future though. :D

It is optional. Without the SD card, it just records the 12 second clips whenever sound or motion is detected and sends set to to the house. With the SD card you can enable continuous recording, and rewind any moment in the day as long as that SD card is in the camera.
You assume I want to connect via a phone. Why?
Because the setup is the same with a phone or tablet. (Android or Apple) just has to be on one of the OS's.

No, with a memory card it will still record and you can view it later. You just won't be able to view it on your phone or send events to the cloud. But the SD would keep everything as long as the camera has power.

Where did you find it for $20? I just bought mine for $40.
They were $20 when they first came out. ($25 with shipping) sadly since then due to the "chip shortage" and Wyze "including the price of shipping with the product" all Wyze products went up a good bit in price.

No, this camera doesnt have a battery. So this camera has to always be plugged in. The Wyze Cam Outdoor has a battery and can be set anywhere the signal can reach.
What is the DS card that is not included?

Sadly no, this device has to always have an internet connection to be seen or record.
Ok so I bought this camera because I thought it had a battery life and it doesn’t need to be plugged in. Is that not the case?
That is not the case. This camera has to be plugged into power to work. The Wyze Cam Outdoor is a battery powered, wireless camera.

I have never tried it... But they are both the same power rating with Micro usb port. So I don't see why they wouldn't work, it should work perfectly fine.

What happens if the red light never comes on?
Normally a defective unit in that case. The store or Wyze should swap it for free.
I have a sd card in mine it’s a 65gb but it’s not reading the card does the cam need a bigger one ?
Try to reboot the camera, leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. 65gb should work as well.

Sadly this version does not have a battery. It has to be plugged in all the time to work. The Wyze Cam Outdoor is wireless with a battery. I've made a few videos on them. They last 5-6 months but I also tested a solar panel that works with them so you never have to charge them.

No, they have included free services. You can get a bit more storage and features if you pay $1.99 a month. Up to you though, you don't have to.
Does the dot light stays on all the time?
you can disable it in setting to stay on or turn off.

No, you have to have an Android or iPhone. You can use a windows emulator to run Wyze Cameras on a PC. I made a video on that as well lol.

In the Wyze app, delete the camera and then hold the setup button on the bottom. That will fully reset the camera.
How long is the cable? Got some being shipped and a tad concerned i may need to change my outlet layout to reach.
About 6 feet or so. Im 5'8 and when I held it up, it was just over my head to reach the floor.

Restart the device and your phone. Turn off your mobile data and then open the Wyze all and try to add it again.

Yeah, Home Depot taxes for some reason lol. If you get them off the Wyze website, they run $20, plus taxes and shipping which brings it to about $30.
where do you buy this for $20?
Sadly they have changed the pricing since I bought this product last October/November. They were $20, plus shipping so normally around $27 or so. Since then Wyze changed the prices to include shipping so the cameras are bit more expensive. This allowed the website prices and retail (Home Depot, Microcenter etc.) To be the same price. Since then I have stopped putting prices in my videos lol.
Must have gotten a bad camera. Ordered 2, 1 connected straight away. The other one doesn't want to.

Try to connect it with mobile data turned off on your phone. That normally works for me if I'm having issues connecting a wyze product.

No, you get notifications for free. The subscription gives a few enhanced features that are not really needed.
I just noticed my cameras where shipped not to record movement or noise. That makes no sense to me since that’s the reason why you would have a camera

On the bottom. It had a little slot that's labeled for the Micro SD Card. I'm shocked I forgot to mention it in the video.

I pre-ordered the first day and got mine early. Only like 30% got them so far.
I take the time to warn everyone so you don't end up in the same situation as mine.
Purchased 6 cams at end of April after reading raved reviews and watching positive videos.... We are now in August and I have 4 cams showing the "Red LED Of Death" (no flashing, factory reset can help this). Those cams are bricked just by simply using them (no power outage or poking around to try to do something fancy or flashing or anything... Simple most basic usage... Filming.)... To make matters worst since I am Canadian Wyze won't honor their warranty.
Come to your own conclusion.
Personally those 6 cams were my first and last Wyze purchases. Definitely not going to buy anything from that company.
4 cams out 6 is not just a fluke. This is serious Quality Check issues. You have been warned.

@@bananapeehole782 Call it whatever you want. FACT is those cams are bugged and do get bricked and it is in fact a known issue at Wyze. (Don’t take my word for it and have a look at Wyze community forum). Thankfully “IIW” in Wyze support forum managed to come up with a fix that Wyze themselves couldn’t… But hey what do I know about anything… When you get to the point that fixing the V3 requires a modified “Jefferson” script to be ran in a Linux shell to access the Jffs2 filesystem because somehow a config file (that you typically don’t have access to) gets wiped out…. I can certainly call it bull….. Have a nice day.

Just search "Wyze" in your app store. Sign in/create your account and then follow the steps in the app to get it connected.
Friend, I looked through the manual of this Wyze V3 and I didn't find anywhere talking about memory card capacity. Do you know how much it supports, if only 32GB or more?
It supports up to 128gb. Doesn't matter what type of micro SD card.
@@BigCVlogs Thanks for the feedback. Strange because it recorded to a 32GB card, but it's not recording to a 64GB. Curious that when you open the card settings, it shows that it is filling the card, occupying empty space, but it doesn't record anything. Does the region interfere? I'm in Brazil, São Paulo.
What happens if the power goes out? Is there a battery backup? All a cr8minal has to do is unplug the power.

Massive security issue that has been known by Wyze since 2016 ish and they did nothing about it, except bury it. Don't remember if the V3 is included but all previous versions are hackable. Please google it. Other than that good setup guide.
I did hear something about that. My understanding was it was an issue with the Wyze Can v1 and was fixed on the v2 but I could be wrong.

They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.
